- In this video I did some historical ninjutsu research in the area of ninja night raid tactics! I looked at various shinobi scrolls and densho such as the Bansenshukai to get a deeper look at the shadow warrior of ancient Japan!

In this video I discussed a historical text called the Bansenshukai. This text is originally written in 1676 by Fujibayashi Yasutake. Along with the historical text, I also used a modern translation of this text called: The Book of Ninja, written by Antony Cummins and Yoshie Minami by Watkins Publishing; copyright 2013

In this video I discussed a historical text called the Ninpiden. This text is originally written in 1560 by Hattori Hanzo. Along with the historical text, I also used a modern translation of this text called: The Secret Traditions of the Shinobi, written by Antony Cummins and Yoshie Minami by Blue Snake Books; copyright 2012

Great video question What kind of weapons ninja would use at night raids 🤔
I just thought of setting a small fire off and having ninja in a circle around it concealed but far away from it concealed in the darkness so that arrows from strong bows could be fired the moment the enemy becomes illuminated by it as a trap for them once they go check it out
Another good method for stealth is when the ninja would wear blue during the full moon - so they would blend into the reflective light and also be able to see in the dark, strong winds and sounds from thunder are good for missions to camouflage footsteps too! Pretty good stuff.
So, the points I take away from this are:
1.Begin your infiltration as the moon begins to darken.
2.Make your exit as the moon begins to brighten.
3. Heavy wind and rain is good, so long as it does not suffer your mobility and visibility.
4.Take advantage of your enemy's unpredictability of thunder.
5.The flashes that lightning provides will make clear your foes and distract their focus. Use this.
