Interesting! One comment to add is that some teams (and thus their characters) are only good for one half but not the other. For example, hydro teams (Neuvillette and Kokomi based ones) are good only for the first half.

Hi! About Cyno. I tested him at the first half (at the second didn't even tried, cause of electro shields and energy consumptions), and it's very very "eh", cause of cryo status at each room. He hits very slowly and cd lineups for TF just breaks. (Team with c2 Nahida, Baizhu and Furina takes more than two minutes at each room)

She is! But always punching the wrong enemy...
When dehya first released she was an absolute garbage. But with time she first gains purpose, and later she gains strength.
First fontaine enable her open world ability to surpass other during underwater. Second neuvillete enable her as the sole burgeon team on neuvillete team. Third furina enable her as the dps on her main dps team. Fourth arlecchino enable her as both sustain and sub dps in arlecchino mono pyro team. I am sure in the future we can see even more of her potential.

She can be replaced by better options everywhere except her own DPS team, cuz you can't have a DPS Dehya team without Dehya.
I used Dehya in 2nd chamber with Furina, Nahida and Kuki. It was my fastest clear
Isnt that the thing with Lyney. Potentially one of the strongest DPS in the game but in terms of playstyle people would rather pick a potentially weaker character who feels better to play.

The 3.7 abyss was where I struggled the most with Childe, but then again most teams were pretty bad that abyss.

9:20 there's a sword from world quest that gives Pneuma and Ousia alignment to characters without it, the Sword of Narzissenkreuz. It's her best weapon 'cuz her teams don't benefit form Furina's buff and the difference is pretty massive.

This abyss is straight up pyro propaganda lol, it's been a while since i cleared without using dendro or furina as my go-to but this time i didn't even think of doing so. I ran arlecchino overload on first side and national on second and cleared so much easier than i thought i would. I expected to die a lot with arlecchino but she deletes enemies so fast with this blessing
I hated it for that, my only abyss-ready pyro characters are Benny-Xiangling, and because I haven't done the quest for the sword I had to use them on the first half and only had level 39 Thoma for the second half 🤡 worst abyss to be a pyro hater.
@@SunsetTwist before i pulled for arlecchino i was in your same situation, only bennett and xiangling built, she saved my ass fr. But im pretty sure fischl would work too for breaking the cryo shield since she applies so much electro, it'd be slower and i haven't tried but im assuming something like hyperbloom with her as the last slot works
@@EdenVix thank you! but I actually cleared with lvl39 Thoma lmao, since he’s usually holding my Kokomi's FoPL set I just gave him a fav lance and did hyperbloom Kokomi with him. They managed fine, it was just annoying. Though it was a good reminder to finally finish raising Thoma in case this happens again

@@arahaitham123in the current top half yes, all of the waves of enemies are grouped together nicely. But generally wrio doesn’t have much aoe. You would mainly get aoe dmg from his buffed charged atk and burst

Yeah Navia is a character who really impressed me and I never hear anyone saying how good she is, to the point she changed my pulling plans. At c0 r1 she almost surpasses all of my most invested characters she’s just so front loaded like having 2 of Raidens burst in her skill with less cooldown, she hits so hard I can’t even tell she uses the worst element and I’m sure she’ll only age like wine
Navia is great. My only problem with her is that she takes my 2 best supports furina and bennet. I hope we will get bennet 2.0 in natlan.
I don't know about the aging thing. DPS types tend to be powercrept easier than supports. And she has teaming requirements, wanting 2 PECHs, plus a geo for geo resonance. So another geo DPS could come along that does to her what she did to Itto... more/easier damage, with greater team building flexability. Of course, we could also maybe get a proper geo healer at some point, opening up better Furina + Navia teams for the masses, and that could elevate her status.

loved the vid! and also since you chose not to go through every character i just wanted to give a special shoutout to Thoma for this abyss! i’ve really liked pairing him up with Wriothesley, Furina, and Baizhu for a “bain-marie” team in the 2nd half - he fulfills the condition for the current abyss blessing, provides Wriothesley with interruption resistance via his shield, and his pyro application comes in handy for breaking the baptist’s cryo shield!
ik there are technically better pyro options but i definitely have had fun using Thoma 🙌
Diluc performs essentially the same as Gaming with none of his awkwardness and clunkyness, if Gaming is top tier so is Diluc, there's just no way he shares the same tier of dehya this abyss
I agree. Diluc these days, with Xianyun, is pretty good every Abyss, but the current one was particularly easy for him (I never saw triple Kenkis go down so quick).
I like Gaming (granted, my Gaming is still only C4) but he's clunky. Played well, they should perform similarly, yet Diluc just feels much smoother & more flexible to play. They should be in the same tier at least.

C6 gaming can make use furina better since he use hunter set. Faster fanfare stack.

I personally don't, because a). I don't have Furina (I do melt /melt plunge with Kaeya) and b). I already have good Crimson Witch set. But If I were farming afresh now and intend to use Furina always, then I'd choose Hunter set, as activating CW passive when plunging is a pain /waste of time.

Nilou teams can have creative solutions to get through this Abyss for the first chambers. Nilou bloom destroys Triple Kenki and the four waves of enemies with AOE. To take on Coppelius, Nilou teams have been using Ousia Narssizenkreuz Sword on DMC, Kirara, and sometimes even Nilou. I’ve been having fun with Nilou this Abyss cycle!
The thing make Kuki so high there for me is her burst when dealing cryo shields, like it chips the shield faster than Fischl, yet again mix with Thoma Burgeon can deal any shields very effectively.
Navia is one of the most underrated characters in the game , she have amazing damage , speedruns and so easy to play while also being extremely fun

I think you should’ve rated Thoma. Like burgeon is actually very good this abyss: has all the elements to pass the elemental checks and has good damage in multi target, even against the bosses burgeon can easily clear because they have low dps checks and more elemental checks

Chiori with zhongli as a geo core for non-mono geo teams works great in this abyss (arle teams for example), I'd put her in great personnaly

Question, is there a convenient resource online for the Abyss bosses, showing their resistances? You mention things like certain bosses have a lot of Anemo resistance, ....is there a site/chart/something that people use to quickly get a run down of boss resistances? Wish it was just shown in the opponent preview in-game on the spiral abyss menu like how they tell you if the enemy is Ousia or Pneuma.

dehya was actually usefull for me this abyss, decided to slap her into my neuvillette team just for the pyro reaction to trigger the abyss blessing, was a nice and smooth run with zero problems, i never actually played the neuv teams with dehya before isnce i have c1 neuv but i might play them more tbh.
I feel Sucrose should be on Great, or at least create new tier between Great and Decent just for her. Her burst can pull enemies on 2nd side, especially helpful against Operatives (they may take fall damage from her burst), Lectors (while you don't need grouping on those, it still helpful), and Baptist (her burst can absorbs ele to breaks his shield even faster). Yes Kazuha is far better, but you cannot bring him to both sides at the same time...

Sucrose was certainly made dirty here. The argument was basically that Kazuha is similar but he has much better grouping, which would put her not lower than great since she has still amazing CC (very impactful against enemies like the operators or the fatui in 1-2). It strides with the claim TGS made later when talking about Xianyun, saying that grouping isn’t “that” necessary this Abyss: that contradicts a big point of why Kazuha has such a massive gap with Sucrose, then if Xianyun is great because the grouping isn’t needed Sucrose shouldn’t be too far from Kazuha.

Ayato is super slept on. How can he be considered decent when he works as a driver for bloom, can be run with all the best supports and also have off field hydro app. with 99% uptime. His damage is also great for how little field time he needs while also having only a 6 second cooldown. Neuvillete amd Tartaglia dont have all these benefits but are considered "perfect"
Ayatao is never best option. He is probably the most replacable character in the game. He doesnt bring anything to the table.
@@jart372 it takes more than 4 distinct characters to have the ''best option'' in every team possible when you can have ONE character that does decently in many team comps... I agree with OP, he's super slept on, you can make a decent amount of teams with him. Tartaglia is only good in national, Neuvillette in bloom team is sub-optimal compared to Nilou and Nilou is only good in those teams. If you put him in any of those teams he'll probably not perform as the BiS, but he will be better than the others in their non-optimal teams... He can work great off-field so he got that Yelan/Xingqiu utility as well, his national is great, as a bloom driver he's great, he works great in freeze, in burgeon with Thoma... That's the price to pay for versatility. If he was any more powerful that would jeopardize the utility of other Hydro characters. Using him is a no-brainer and you can get away with him in most situations.
@@jart372it’s just wrong saying that he brings nothing to the table. He does have good things going for him and the only issue is that other characters do a similar/better job overall. But saying he has nothing is very wrong, he is extremely flexible and he can clear very easily since he can easily fit in other good units into his team
@@citoyenneteavanttout7273 I'd rather have character that have one or two very good comps than a character that have 5 mid teams. Look at his pick ratio in abyss. He might be an ok option for very new players that dont have better character, but overall he is not good.
Jack of all trades, master of none. You don't really need him but he can do other units job kinda.
I personally use him in hyperbloom with xingqiu.

sucrose is great this abyss , tried her second half and her grouping is very useful
I used both sucrose and Kazuha on each side almost every abyss, I think people either don't know how to play her or find her clunky for whatever reason.

Ive been watchung cyno runs this abyss, the multiwave doesnt affect him this much this patch. Either when you use his kuki, xingqui, nahida cyno team or his premium team. It seems fine
I mean for Coppelius, you can play Nilou on Narsizenkroist (or whatever it's called) sword, or put full EM Furina on the team since Ousia removes the Coppelia's shield.

beidou is soo good this abyss, she can instantly break the cope shield with her e + burst, and most of the rooms have 2-3 enemies at a time. her aggrevate team feels better than my aggrevate team
Not just that. Ive been having pretty easy clears with Arle/Chev/Fischl/Beidou. I love Beidou as an Overload Arlecchino teammate, makes it so comfy especially with C1
I'm dropping my funny comp here, Navia Chiori GMC Layla, it's viable, surely not the best but pretty f2p friendly, very comfy with shields and a lot of Geo particles, good aoe and shreds Geo extremely fast. I used it to 36* the abyss on the gravity mech.
I had the easiest clear after a long time! Nilou on 1st half (Furina NA for coppelia) and Childe International for 2nd half! CLEARED IN ONE TRY ONLY, NO RESETS!
i ended up using my level 20 dehya with neuvillette, kazuha and zhongli on 12-2-2 because xiangling was on international on the first half. she's unironically the best off field pyro option for neuvi. personally i would consider her the best because fuck xiangling's ER reqs without bennett lol
So, what you're telling me, is that instead of chopping up my teams, I should've stuck with my gut and brought my Tighnari Sunfire and Taser Venti.
Favorite team for this abyss second half has been neuv, nahida, furina, em dehya. Absolutely melts everything and gives my c0 neuv good interrupt resistance. Expensive team tho i know 😭
I like this a lot better than just plain Abyss usage rates, honestly. I think Burgeon, for example, does have potential in the second half against the Inquisitor. I understand though that building Thoma or Dehya for Burgeon is just something that people aren’t always willing to do (which is fine), and that does affect the usage rates stats quite a bit. Many might use Kazuha and Bennett instead, just because they are more readily available.

Its probably Neuvilette, Arle and Haitham on the top tier. Anemo bois, Navia, Lyney, Childe and hutao on the 2nd, Wrio and cyno on the 3rd and the rest on the 4th and the 5th.
neuvillette, arlecchino, alhaitham, childe and hu tao are the first 5 that comes to my mind

It is Neuvillette no contest.He has no weakness. Hp scaler , self healing , insane range , Can swap out everytime he wants , the best element , F2p friendly can use any character and still performs.
Childe is after him , the man has one team that never left since the beginning , insane hydro application and can distribute his damage to match the situation.
Alhaitham has many teams , Solid aoe without grouper , High dendro application and really easy to build.
Navia is rly good but sucks vs aoe
xiao is universal ( except vs wenut) but rly expensive team
raiden is the most flexiable out of all dps and still rly good
Arle and lyney are great but they are hella squishy. They have very good frontload damage , no interruption resistance and not easy to slot a defensive option for them without dropping their damage by a lot , Arle and the no healing thing is quite annoying.
what i see is all dps can clear in the 1 and half min window in abyss but how comfortable can you clear with them is the selling point.

haitham: just a new better dendro dps since nahida and hyperbloom does good part of the work.
hutao: is already being stared in the neck by arlecchino, a couple better sups for arle and hutao gets eepy.
Arle: lacks a bit of aoe + pyro archon and sovereign are spectualated to be released at some point( maybe a powercreep or pyro buff)
Anemo bois and lyney: are basically on their peak so a straight powercreep aint that hard.

Be it Coppelia or Kenki trio or if they add Beasts duo etc
Id say Dehya dps is one of best and easiest to play there especially in terms of how smooth and great it feels to play while being dwcent dmg wise too cause team good enough so low personal dmg of Dehya isn't biggest issue.
I personally have C1 Dehya,no sig and C1 Furina. Used on Coppelia 12-3 a lot past abyss and was getting consistent 40-50sec clears.
But the neat part was imagine not getting Interrupted against Coppelia throughout whole battle..
This abyss is quite comfortable for Ganyu, actually... I mean, the side without Coppelius. Freeze Ganyu with Furina is a breeze against everything, with the only downside of waiting for the Baptist's cryo shield to expire. Melt Ganyu is even better since it deals with all shields easily. Overall, Ganyu has teams that can deal with both AOE and ST enemies, so that's good for her.
I think you underestimated Klee's potential. I think she should be at the top tier (for this abyss). Her insane pyro application is super useful. Both of the electro heralds' shields go insanely fast- way faster than other pyro characters. (even faster with klee+xiangling). Klee being able to stunlock enemies is also a great deal against the mirror maiden and the fatui operatives because they can't use their skills and dashes while klee stunlocks them.
edit- i forgot to mention, this was a really fun video!!
still not as good as s tier her damage is a but lacking even with her pyro app and she is often used a driver with her teams having alot less dps. She is good but not as good as the top tier. I have her at high investment 90 cr 1.8k attack and 183 cd and 40 percent pyro damage and I just find my other teams clearing faster. Though she is underrated. (I was the biggest klee main between 1.1-3.6)
btw my fav teams are furina, klee kazuha and bennet, or xiangling bennet klee kazuha. (I have klee at c1 with dodoco tales)
@@xiahe6708 My klee is pretty invested too. And you're right about Klee not having as much damage as S tier DPS characters. But the thing is, this abyss isnt about dealing super high damage. Klee's damage is more than enough. The most time consuming part is breaking shields. And klee excels at that. Other pyro characters application is nowhere near as much as klee's. Thats why I think she's amazing. And i believe you're Klee main /or dedicated klee player too so you're probably good at her stunlocks. Normally her poise isnt that important but this abyss ber stunlocks saves so much time and gives so much defense to her.
And I personally recommend other weapon options for your Klee. Contrary to popular belief, her damage is well balanced around her kit. So her skill and burst damage matters a lot as well, not just charged atk's.

You either have skill issue or bad artifacts or even teams.

i kinda the cheesed this abyss with a neuvillette team with bennet he can pretty much rip all the rooms apart except when a shield is present and thats where bennet shows up his Q just obliterates alot of the shields in this abyss
This list will surely help me as I continue to use my "recent favorites" Navia plunge team and Neuvillette hyperbloom team.

On the Gaming vs Hu Tao plunge teams. Hu Tao does have a harder time on AOE floors and her team is a little more fragile because she consumes so much health, well more noticeable than gaming. On boss floors she's a much better pick then gaming. The last chamber is pretty annoying with both plunge variants given the 4 waves. Also the elemental checks for this abyss are no joke. Cryo, Anemo, Geo and Hydro teams aren't a great pick side one because of the Cappelia and side two also has serious element restrictions. Then you need AOE on both sides. A very skill and knowledge intensive abyss.

Not sure id agree ranking chiori as a "mono geo character", she makes a pretty good core paired with zhongli to slot in basically anywhere. Been loving pairing those two with arlecchino & yelan specifically lately, since arle loves having zhongli around already anyway. The rest is true though, about geos innate disadvantages, but she deserves a little push for team flexibility i believe. (do not take my chiori copium from me :s)

Rosaria's reverse melt is pretty good in this abyss too, much better than Ganyu's even since hers is pretty much cast and forget.
Tough Abyss for someone without all the pieces to fall into place. Nuevillette always strong, but my account lacks a Fire Carry and premium constellations on notable 4-stars.

1st half: Raiden C0 The Catch, and Xingqiu, Xiangling, Bennet - all C6's.
2nd half: Arle C0 White Tassel, Sucrose C6 TTDS, Yelan C1, Zhongli 4pc Archaic Petra.
That's the only lineup that worked for me for 36 stars in single run.
Gaming above Hu Tao is outrageous. Maybe do testing on all characters before doing a tierlist. You have to factor in overall performance on both sides before feelscrafting about characters. I’m a yae main, C2 and signature, really good build, and I can say for sure that her teams don’t have the power to steamroll this abyss, like my lower cons, non sig units. Navia plays well on both sides because of her flexible teams. Arlecchino is a very strong character but her survivability without a shield makes certain stronger teams feel horrible to play. Saying something like candace is decent based on Zajef’s take is very cope since only c6 is viable. A tierlist by one person is purely subjective, but at least test some of the major dps team before just throwing out a tierlist like this because it’s very misleading to new players. Gaming requires a lot more to be good than many Dps and has issues like energy and very expensive team. Take the advice or loathe it but don’t comment on something you haven’t tested.
If you know how the tier list mentioned in this video do their sampling, you'd know how unreliable it is to truly show a character's worth. It literally allow boosting for god sake

I agree with pretty much all your rankings except for Itto mono geo, he absolutely obliterates the first half of chamber 12, especially the three Magu Kenki and my Itto team is not even built that well. Itto mono geo is extremely flexible in general because pretty much every enemy lineup is a good matchup for them, because both single target and multi target scenarios can be handled well due to Itto's high range (even vertically) and geo in general is barely restricted by element or elemental resistances.
And the same holds true for Navia + C1 Chiori. You get all the PECH/geo shield breaking off-field geo hits. You get Chiori wiping out small fry without needing to group them. You get Navia to execute the non-small fry. And you have room for 2 more characters of your choice.
Nahida is very useful in neuvi xiangling burgeon team.
Hyperbloom is a no go this abyss.
Its pyro elemental check. Make sure you have built xl or bennet.
I would tell about Thomas and burgeon teams in general which are very strong in part 2.
I hope pyro traveler is like a buffer like bennet so that I can pair him up with his partner ✨:)
I deleted this abyss so fast with hitao so really strange putting Neuvilette on great for this abyss when he was a lot slower tham hutao. This abyss favours pyro a lot

Unlikely. Pyro often scales better for dmg than electro. Then again, electro usually has faster attacks, which makes up for lower dmg numbers.
At the moment, no. Clorinde is looking like to be a average dps with her best teams reaching ~70k dps. Meanwhile Arleccinos best team has 84k dps.
People really understimate cyno full em build. Without his signature is not that great but with it his team is at least top 5 overall
Im really curious which team are you using him full em for? Pure hypebloom? Bc I can't imagine it being better than his regular build on his best team

I'm sorry, but no way Gaming is in the highest tier - his plunge gameplay and the word "perfect" can never be together. He is really fun to play but always requires some resets to push though the abyss.
I did last abyss with 0 resets on c0 gaming 2nd half. Plunge is good, get over it.

personally my neuv hyper with childe kazuha and zhongli does more dmg than his hyperbloom team, it's kinda cringe tbh
I recommend trying Neuv/Xiangling/Kaz/ZL or an equivalent vape team on side 2. It's very strong and allows you to deal with the abyss lector and baptist very easily.

At first I cleared abyss with my "best" teams, Raiden/Alhaitham, but then I tried with my "fun" team, I cleared magukenki with Eula c0r1 (4 cost) in 27sec, in one rotation, Raiden didn't even got to use her burst, Eula performed way better then my "best" teams and I feel like tank with her not like paper canon when playing Arle, Just because physical doesn't have abyss buff, doesn't means it meh
But it is meh. You can clear the Kenkis much faster with a team like Thundering Furry for example but that does not make Razor "great"
Then tell us, what was you clearing time in the rest of the chambers? Eula is terrible. Worst 5 star dps in the game.
Second chamber was under a min, but had to reset few times cuz I am bad at weaving in and out of boss attacks, and last chamber was around 1min and 20sec, and I burst three times on those four waves. btw I cleared that chamber with Raiden team, and arlecchino team as well, Eula team was most fun I had in entire abyss, she is very underated imho
You have right to not like a character, but stating it as matter of fact is just a lie, Eula was main reason I was able to 36 abyss last year, even tho before Eula I already had Yelan, kazuha, Raiden Alhaitham XLc6, XQc6, BennyC0, nahida, all top character that supposed to make it easier, but it took me underpowered Eula to finally clear it, and I had blast, I own Eula my first 36star
One major thing you missed, is the fact despite Eula not able to take advantage of abyss buff she performed better then any other team I threw at it, raiden with furina Benny and kazuha with abyss buff needed more time to clear same chambers then my Eula with Raiden furina and MikeC6 with out abyss shred buff
