Adding so many high weight/poise enemies into the abyss did a number on him for sure. Also he's the only Archon without a continuous elemental applicating off field skill ability. I don't know how good anemo off field on skill would be but it'd be nice to have, maybe something like a weaker Faruzan burst.

venti was literally the reason why they couldn't put more mobs in floor 12 tbh. back in the day abyss had way too many mobs and if you had venti he was basically a cheat code against them. nowadays enemies have more weight and at least half of the chambers are dedicated to bosses. a lot of players still use venti against early abyss floors because he makes clearing it with one burst faster. i love kazuha (have him at c2r1) but tbh i mostly use him exclusively in floor 12 (not including overworld) when it comes to clearing abyss. anything that gets sucked into venti's black hole doesn't stand a chance and more often than not i just need one venti burst every chamber to clear floors 9-11 honestly the enemies in abyss are made to nerf him because he was too OP in terms of crowd control in the early versions of the game. even now, his crowd control is unparalleled when it works.

When they release a pyro sub dps character it's over. Right now only Xiangling fits that category and that, alongside her personal damage, is what makes her op and competitive with other 5 stars

honestly i feel like fischl deserves the spot for electro support. kuki is really only amazing in hb, while fischl is great in any team that wants electro. she also has a ton of electro app, with oz, and her a4 passive. but i guess i'm biased cause i consider fischl to be the best electro character in the game
Hyperbloom is a powercreep to the base damage of elemental reaction designed for people who started up late in genshin impact to catch up with those who played for 3+ years. And since the only 2 possible electro trigger for hyperbloom team are EM Raiden (what a waste of a Raiden if you use her that way) or Kuki, that makes Kuki overpowered. I tried to use Fischl for HB and it does not work. So maybe Fischl is the best for non HB team, but since HB team is the most overpowered team for free to play players, it is inevitable that Kuki is the most OP support in the element. At top whale level, the flat rate of HB damage cannot catch up to the power of C6R5 five stars, so maybe then Fischl is more dominant.
8:22 I 100% agree cryo has been neglected, yet cryo still competes well for spiral abyss. I didn't realize we had 0 cryo characters for 3.0! As someone who doesn't own Shenhe, I use Ayaka and Ganyu on the same team with 2 flex spots, one feeding particles into the other depending on which needs to be "main dps".
To be fair, Diona should get an honorable mention. At c6 she buffs em by 200, provides a shield, heals and gives a small movement speed buff. With Favonious she's basically an insane battery to the team
For cryo in terms of flexibilty i think ill have to go for wrio. Like ayato before neuv he can work with a lot of teams. He works well with melt and freeze especially with shenhe and nahida burnmelt however the only concern is the melt team. There isnt anyone out there who can consistently apply pyro other than xiangling. Burnmelt works but he loses out on a lot of his potential dmg without shenhe and kazuha synergies. Hopefully the pyro archon can fix that or any other off field pyro units.
For freeze, I still think Ayaka is much better because of her super frontloaded burst damage & with the right setups, enemies will get deleted. Shenhe is a glorified cryo support at c0. Whales forget this because they have her at c6 but she is literally gonna only buff 7 of Rizzley's normal attacks whereas with Ayaka, you can buff 10 ticks of her burst which is insane damage in a very short window of time which is usually the make or break game for abyss.

Hydro is indeed the most broken element, and Furina and Neuvillette are poster children of brokenness. I agree with all your placements, but I noticed there's not really a honorable mention for cryo support. I guess it's hard to choose just one since none of them truly stand out. My pick would probably be Diona, especially at c6. Healing, shielding and EM boost is a pretty decent support profile. She's also amazing in co-op at c2+!

I think C6 rosaria is better than shenhe for physical. She reduces physical defences and increases crit rate based on hers, which synergyses well with favonious lance and, in turn, makes her better at generating energy.
Honestly imo Wriothesley’s the best cryo DPS character for sheer versatility and ease of use. Yeah Ayaka does more damage but she’s more often than not locked to a freeze team and if that burst misses your damage drops by a lot and bosses can’t be frozen. Melt Ayaka isn’t that optimal even with burning. Wriothesley on the other hand decimates with melt even F2P wrio can hit a 100k on that charged attack. He can also be used as a hyperbloom driver, in a freeze team and Mono cryo. Ganyu unfortunately imo stand with these two anymore PS: Childe could be an honourable mention considering he’s arguably the most enduring character to date. He was among the first limited characters to be released and he’s still relevant to this day, almost always among Top 20 most used characters in abyss

Cryo is just an annoying element to use overall, cryo resonance and blizzard strayer both need for cryo to be applied to the enemy, but it seems to have terrible application esp if ur tryna do any reactions
I mean that's kinda why you don't use cryo reso or 4 blizzard for any of the cryo dps unless its freeze. ganyu melt is bennett xiangling kazuha or zhongli wriothesly uses furina as his best ayaka is the only cryo dps that actually wants 2 cryo.
At this point in time, and looking at the last abyss rotations data, Wrio is the easy answer. He's self sustainable, is flexible enough in melt, burn and freeze teams, perfectly fits with Furina and two of her best healers (Mika and Jean due to attack speed buff), his charge attack while buffed can destroy geo shields and isn't Burst dependent

I guess physical is really the one that's underestimated the most, when even content creators still think hyperbloom is the best team for Eula, when lots of Eula mains are already using Furina, Mika, Ei/Kuki/Fischl as the staple for her team, and simply destroying any abyss floor with ease.

Diona is a good cryo support as well. I’ve been using her ever since i got her (plus points for being a cat i guess😂) She’s adorable, She heals and protects and her ult reduces the damage of opponents when they enter the healing circle (haha idk how to describe it). She’s easy to use and really carried my team as well as bennet😄

i'd argue Xingqiu for Hydro. DMG reduction, healing, interruption resistance, best hydro app in the game, and good off field presence. He does it all and imo is the best unit in the game all together.
Why do you need all this when you can kill things faster. And Furina does it for you. Yeah you become squishy but it's High risk, high reward. Bro is practically benched for me. As a matter of fact he's the least used ever since Yelan came out. His artifact pieces getting showed to other characters. If there was a senerio were damage reduction really mattered him and Beidou will be used more. Alas we only have Spiral Abyss and the game is easy to care about damage reduction.
Xingqiu is great, but I don't think he is THE best, not anymore. I mean, sure, he enables tons of teams, however, these days, he is not the best option in a lot of those teams. For example, in Hu Tao teams, a lot of people now would use Furina + Yelan +Jean or Furina + Yelan + Xianyun. Same with Diluc vape. His dmg reduction also doesn't matter much in teams like hyperbloom or Nilou bloom cause you will most likely bring a separate healer. It is mostly only relevant in National or Taser nowadays. Compared to him, Furina is just too damn good. Meta defining even. I mean, she boosts so many dmg dealers that isn't that good before, raising their dmg to not only be viable in abyss, but really strong. Most notably, Noelle and Xiao (and as a Noelle and Xiao Enjoyer, I'm really thankful for it). Not only that, her dmg boost applies to entire fricking team, and she also deals shitton of dmg herself. It's crazy.
I think Ganyu is the best cryo DPS due to her flexibility. My main team has been Ganyu/Zhongli/Kazuha/Shenhe for years now & its so strong it can even 36 the current 12-3-1 that is omega cryo resistant. I don't need to burst open world or to finish enemies at the end of an abyss fight (saving energy for the next chamber), I have tons of res shred, Xiphos on Kazuha eases energy needs, Zhongli makes it brainless to play, Ganyu can spam charge atks against single targets, or rely on the teams bursts for aoe situations. Trihards can swap Zhongli for Bennett & obliterate, & I even swap in Prototype Amber healer Mona when the abyss requires hydro. Meanwhile, Ayaka has ALWAYS felt awful to me if you're not playing exactly Ayaka C0 R1/Shenhe C0 R1/Kazuha w/Xiphos/Kokomi. Very expensive DPS. Wriothesely is typically taking your Furina, & I hate that across different abyss cycles with who knows what enemy lineup. Ganyu Impact from Jan 2021 to Infinity.
having furina and wrio is soooo good but he is great in his burn melt team too.......eventhough it is hard to do the combos correctly........he is great with yunjin and xingquo......i only have one doubt???? shatter deals physical dmg and with kuki and wrio i can deal superconduct, if i shatter most of the time and stack em on him....will it be a good option? am a new player only started on his banner got lucky tho so can anyone help me?

I have Ganyu and Ayaya and i ended up benching Ayaya, maybe it's just bias bc i like Ganyu more, but i always felt more comfy playing with Ganyu, and i'm currently saving up primos to c6 her (currently at c3, Ayaya is at c1 lmao)
Well Fischl deserves a bit more than an honorable mention, particularly with Golden Troupe. I use her with Keqing and Nahida and the dmg is simply insane. Also Xingqiu. Furina and Neuvillete are obviously the dinamic duo, but the insane utility that Xingqiu has, with the hydro aplication, insane dmg reduction and useful heal makes him an obvious choice.

Xiao is better than wanderer now. Im sorry to break your heart but he is. Wanderer needs a solid fourth support just like xiao got xianyun to compete. But nit only does xiao's damage sheet better now. Hes also aoe and less reliant on a shield

Since "Elemental Resonance" exists, it's good to have two playable characters of each element anyways. ^^ Before Navia release I even mostly had teams of 4 different elements cause I thought more was better, but since Navia my favorite team is double geo double hydro with Zhongli, Barbara and Yelan.
Best cryo for me has been Ganyu - but only because she is built insanely good. Had so much luck with the wanderers artifacts. But its been some time since I played and I would love to get Wrio and test him :)
I think fischl is the best electro DPS, you can replace C0 Raiden in her best team with fischl and it woks very well,she can be put in any other teams in their flexible slot. And fischl just got buffed so many times with the presence of dendro,gilded dream, and now Golden troupe.
In my humble opinion Chevreuse deserve to be in honourable mention too since Gorou is there. Despite being a niche 4* support, she really excel with her role even at C0 unlike other niche supports (Gorou, Faruzan, Yunjin). Just give her 40k HP and restrict your team with only Electro and Pyro and voilà you have a good and solid team. Not to mention how good her resistance shred is against enemy that can't be swirl neither Electro nor Pyro (for example Hydro Tulpa, Any Element Hypostasis etc) making her a better choice than Kazuha. Chevy with Yoimiya Bennett and Fischl has become my most favourite left click gaming and they're really really good. Try it out if you haven't because not many people talk about how good Chevreuse is so I want her to be more well known 😊😊 I have some gameplay showing the Yoimiya team I mentioned, feel free to check it out ❤ Great video as always

Is arlecchino top 1 pyro characters right now? She’s very solid option in my opinion I mean I could get over 100k dmg with white tassel at C0 and she wasn’t even lvl 90 she was lvl 80
True, between Ayaka, Ganyu and Rizzly there cannot be one-for-all solution. Ayaka is still great: she is basically a catalyst with the sword, since she can infuse cryo on demand - just a short dash is all you need. Being a sword user, she also uses less stamina for her charged attack, and her passive helps to manage it even better. But she has this Mona-like dash, and that breaks it for some players like me. Its not about how her sprint is good or bad, its about being different from the others in the team. For me, this was surprisingly huge deal. Ganyu is waaaaay more comfortable to play for me. But I do realize people may have the opposite opinion about these two, no problem with that. Good thing we have both options. A nice addition is Ganyu's support capabilities: she can more or less replace Shenhe for Ayaka. Rizzly for me is kinda meh. He is powerful and fun, but also just too straightforward. You see him and you immediately know how to play. No learning curve, no rewarding revelations, no nothing, just straight up beat-'em-up guy.

I think C6 rosaria is better than shenhe for physical. She reduces physical defences and increases crit rate based on hers, which synergyses well with favonious lance and, in turn, makes her better at generating energy.

Honestly imo Wriothesley’s the best cryo DPS character for sheer versatility and ease of use. Yeah Ayaka does more damage but she’s more often than not locked to a freeze team and if that burst misses your damage drops by a lot and bosses can’t be frozen. Melt Ayaka isn’t that optimal even with burning. Wriothesley on the other hand decimates with melt even F2P wrio can hit a 100k on that charged attack. He can also be used as a hyperbloom driver, in a freeze team and Mono cryo. Ganyu unfortunately imo stand with these two anymore
PS: Childe could be an honourable mention considering he’s arguably the most enduring character to date. He was among the first limited characters to be released and he’s still relevant to this day, almost always among Top 20 most used characters in abyss

i think wriothesley is the best cryo dps. ayaka is shit outside freeze and the abyss enemies have high cryo resistance. wriothesley on the other hand, have different team option. he can slot xiangling and nahida while still doing tons of damage by himself.

Cryo is just an annoying element to use overall, cryo resonance and blizzard strayer both need for cryo to be applied to the enemy, but it seems to have terrible application esp if ur tryna do any reactions
Wrio is great at applying Cryo...and he doesn't really even need another Cryo character in the team, he's fairly self sustaining.
I mean that's kinda why you don't use cryo reso or 4 blizzard for any of the cryo dps unless its freeze.

At this point in time, and looking at the last abyss rotations data, Wrio is the easy answer. He's self sustainable, is flexible enough in melt, burn and freeze teams, perfectly fits with Furina and two of her best healers (Mika and Jean due to attack speed buff), his charge attack while buffed can destroy geo shields and isn't Burst dependent

I guess physical is really the one that's underestimated the most, when even content creators still think hyperbloom is the best team for Eula, when lots of Eula mains are already using Furina, Mika, Ei/Kuki/Fischl as the staple for her team, and simply destroying any abyss floor with ease.

Diona is a good cryo support as well. I’ve been using her ever since i got her (plus points for being a cat i guess😂) She’s adorable, She heals and protects and her ult reduces the damage of opponents when they enter the healing circle (haha idk how to describe it). She’s easy to use and really carried my team as well as bennet😄

i'd argue Xingqiu for Hydro. DMG reduction, healing, interruption resistance, best hydro app in the game, and good off field presence. He does it all and imo is the best unit in the game all together.

Why do you need all this when you can kill things faster. And Furina does it for you. Yeah you become squishy but it's High risk, high reward. Bro is practically benched for me. As a matter of fact he's the least used ever since Yelan came out. His artifact pieces getting showed to other characters. If there was a senerio were damage reduction really mattered him and Beidou will be used more. Alas we only have Spiral Abyss and the game is easy to care about damage reduction.
Over furina, neuvillite, and yelan? no way.
I am also bias for xingqui, but furina is more "universal" you can slot her with CA characters
Xingqiu is great, but I don't think he is THE best, not anymore. I mean, sure, he enables tons of teams, however, these days, he is not the best option in a lot of those teams. For example, in Hu Tao teams, a lot of people now would use Furina + Yelan +Jean or Furina + Yelan + Xianyun. Same with Diluc vape.
His dmg reduction also doesn't matter much in teams like hyperbloom or Nilou bloom cause you will most likely bring a separate healer. It is mostly only relevant in National or Taser nowadays.
Compared to him, Furina is just too damn good. Meta defining even. I mean, she boosts so many dmg dealers that isn't that good before, raising their dmg to not only be viable in abyss, but really strong. Most notably, Noelle and Xiao (and as a Noelle and Xiao Enjoyer, I'm really thankful for it). Not only that, her dmg boost applies to entire fricking team, and she also deals shitton of dmg herself. It's crazy.

I think Ganyu is the best cryo DPS due to her flexibility. My main team has been Ganyu/Zhongli/Kazuha/Shenhe for years now & its so strong it can even 36 the current 12-3-1 that is omega cryo resistant. I don't need to burst open world or to finish enemies at the end of an abyss fight (saving energy for the next chamber), I have tons of res shred, Xiphos on Kazuha eases energy needs, Zhongli makes it brainless to play, Ganyu can spam charge atks against single targets, or rely on the teams bursts for aoe situations. Trihards can swap Zhongli for Bennett & obliterate, & I even swap in Prototype Amber healer Mona when the abyss requires hydro. Meanwhile, Ayaka has ALWAYS felt awful to me if you're not playing exactly Ayaka C0 R1/Shenhe C0 R1/Kazuha w/Xiphos/Kokomi. Very expensive DPS. Wriothesely is typically taking your Furina, & I hate that across different abyss cycles with who knows what enemy lineup.

having furina and wrio is soooo good but he is great in his burn melt team too.......eventhough it is hard to do the combos correctly........he is great with yunjin and xingquo......i only have one doubt???? shatter deals physical dmg and with kuki and wrio i can deal superconduct, if i shatter most of the time and stack em on him....will it be a good option? am a new player only started on his banner got lucky tho so can anyone help me?

I have Ganyu and Ayaya and i ended up benching Ayaya, maybe it's just bias bc i like Ganyu more, but i always felt more comfy playing with Ganyu, and i'm currently saving up primos to c6 her (currently at c3, Ayaya is at c1 lmao)
Well Fischl deserves a bit more than an honorable mention, particularly with Golden Troupe. I use her with Keqing and Nahida and the dmg is simply insane.
Also Xingqiu. Furina and Neuvillete are obviously the dinamic duo, but the insane utility that Xingqiu has, with the hydro aplication, insane dmg reduction and useful heal makes him an obvious choice.

Before Navia release I even mostly had teams of 4 different elements cause I thought more was better, but since Navia my favorite team is double geo double hydro with Zhongli, Barbara and Yelan.

Best cryo for me has been Ganyu - but only because she is built insanely good. Had so much luck with the wanderers artifacts. But its been some time since I played and I would love to get Wrio and test him :)

I think fischl is the best electro DPS, you can replace C0 Raiden in her best team with fischl and it woks very well,she can be put in any other teams in their flexible slot. And fischl just got buffed so many times with the presence of dendro,gilded dream, and now Golden troupe.
In my humble opinion Chevreuse deserve to be in honourable mention too since Gorou is there. Despite being a niche 4* support, she really excel with her role even at C0 unlike other niche supports (Gorou, Faruzan, Yunjin). Just give her 40k HP and restrict your team with only Electro and Pyro and voilà you have a good and solid team. Not to mention how good her resistance shred is against enemy that can't be swirl neither Electro nor Pyro (for example Hydro Tulpa, Any Element Hypostasis etc) making her a better choice than Kazuha.
Chevy with Yoimiya Bennett and Fischl has become my most favourite left click gaming and they're really really good.
Try it out if you haven't because not many people talk about how good Chevreuse is so I want her to be more well known 😊😊

Is arlecchino top 1 pyro characters right now? She’s very solid option in my opinion I mean I could get over 100k dmg with white tassel at C0 and she wasn’t even lvl 90 she was lvl 80

True, between Ayaka, Ganyu and Rizzly there cannot be one-for-all solution.
Ayaka is still great: she is basically a catalyst with the sword, since she can infuse cryo on demand - just a short dash is all you need. Being a sword user, she also uses less stamina for her charged attack, and her passive helps to manage it even better. But she has this Mona-like dash, and that breaks it for some players like me. Its not about how her sprint is good or bad, its about being different from the others in the team. For me, this was surprisingly huge deal.
Ganyu is waaaaay more comfortable to play for me. But I do realize people may have the opposite opinion about these two, no problem with that. Good thing we have both options. A nice addition is Ganyu's support capabilities: she can more or less replace Shenhe for Ayaka.
Rizzly for me is kinda meh. He is powerful and fun, but also just too straightforward. You see him and you immediately know how to play. No learning curve, no rewarding revelations, no nothing, just straight up beat-'em-up guy.
