Quick question: I know that X1 Normal Version + Mi Stick is the go to option for someone looking to start this hobby, but at the same time I saw you posting another video comparing Blitzwolf VP13 and Wanbo T2 Max. If I understood you correctly, VP13 is actually more superior than the X1. Currently, VP13 can be purchased around RM420+ which is close to X1. In your opinion, does this make VP13 a better choice than X1+Mi Stick?

This will depend on your needs. Personally, I don't use keystone correction. And I have better Chromecast with Google TV. So non-Android version for me.

Make sure that the bit rate is not too high. And 1080p max. Subtitle is embedded.
Hi Jayce, thanks for the reply. You're right, the mkv I tested was 4k. But the .srt subtitle still doesn't work, even in 1080p. I put the video and the subtitle with the same name.
Subtitle needs to be embedded in the video...

So far there doesn't seem to be a good cost effective all in one solution.
Usually the interface is subpar or the projector quality is compromised as per I saw with your t2 max review, the mi stick interface is far better than the built in system

@@jayceooi So far I can get the X1 + Mi stick for just over 100 USD
The mi smart compact is about 3 times more
The VP6 + stick is about 2x more
So I'll go ahead with the x1 option as my first setup. Decent quality. Initially I targeted the T2 but the 480p resolution is just too low. Plus its more or less the same price as the x1
The T2max I feel does not live up to the price, the OS should be better.

What are the steps did you do for mirroring?

Hey Jayce, I've just bought the projector and the throw ratio appears to be 1.1:1. For example if I place the projector 2.5m away I'll get an approximate diagonal of of 2.2m. I thought the throw ratio was 1.35:1?

Good question. Mainly because it is not Android TV. You need to use air mouse to navigate in most apps. Not user friendly.
