    Wrestlers are on the road 200-300+ days per year constantly doing matches, so the chances for injury go way way up. Also, you're purposely taking hits and bumping in wrestling, whereas in fighting, you're trying not to get hit. Fake or not, taking bumps constantly is gonna add up real quick.

    They both hurt. Just a matter of what actually goes on during the individual outings. The big difference I think is mma if you’re really good. you have a chance of not even getting hurt. Or at least taking minimal damage and you only take that serious risk/damage on a few occasions a year. Wwe youre not intentionally trying to hurt each other but you’re guaranteed to be taking bumps pretty much every time you go out. You’re doing it weekly. You’re often doing high risk stunts, where if executed correctly you’ll be ok. If it goes wrong though, you get some pretty serious injuries. Like mma. Unless you’re fighting conor you’re not going to have to worry about a chair shot to begin with let alone a botched one.

Whether you feel that that's good or bad for pro wrestling probably depends on which era you grew up during. Old heads will say that you ALWAYS finish the match no matter what, younger fans will say that safety comes first. MMA, real combat fighters, tough gig and crap pay tbh.

    the scary thing is, i paused it before she revealed her answer to guess what she'd say and why etc, i pressed play, she more of less said exactly what i did, MMA pain is more of a typical fight sort of feel, it would obviously hurt like hell, but like she said, we've all felt it, you'd likely be used to it to a extent, but then with WWE you get to a PPV and your in a extreme rules match, Finn for example with the ladder against Edge, when WWE fighting goes wrong, it really goes wrong for you.

    In MMA you’re actively defending yourself to avoid serious bodily injury, but in WWE the goal is to put on a show, and part of the show is getting bodyslammed or suplexed or getting hit with a chair or put through a table. Basically wrestlers are like the actors and the stunt people rolled into one, they take all the bumps live and in front of an audience. And when you’re taking bumps like that week after week, painful injuries are inevitable. Whereas MMA fighters, serious ones anyway, only fight two, maybe three times a year. And those injuries are usually only surface level, broken nose, black eye, fat lip, etc. Not saying that serious injuries don’t happen in MMA, but in wrestling the injuries are on a more consistent basis.

  • @Kirwin98
    @Kirwin98 14 дней назад

    You can tear your ACL in MMA too, I feel it's just about what you do , like some guys just strikers and they're less likely to get hurt than a wrestling style fighter

    • @bane3991
      @bane3991 10 дней назад

      Yes, that's pretty accurate. I trained MMA for years. I can no longer train due to injuries. They kept adding up. My knee is not good at all right now.
      Grappling is where most of the serious injuries take place, not striking. Striking is more of a busted lip, headache, some bruises. But grappling is when you start tearing your connective tissue up. You start getting the disc's in your back slip out of place. Bad neck and shoulder pains.
      A big man or top star who might not need to take as many bumps is different than a low-mid card who takes many bumps. A pro at mma doesn't get into all these compromising positions as much as a lower level guy so their body's take less of a toll.

  • @bane3991
    @bane3991 10 дней назад

    It depends on the person. If you're a jobber, you're about to take serious bumps that will lead to more pain and injury. If you're a big man or top guy, not so much. In MMA it's similar. I trained MMA. The surface wounds she's talking about is nothing like she said, but that's the striking portion. The majority of serious injuries you get in mma is from the grappling portion. I tore my body up grappling. If you're a top MMA fighter you aren't taking the same beatings as a casual because you're so good that not many people can push you to those limits to get you in those bad compromising positions and scrambles.
    Overall, wrestling will probably lead to more injuries. But everyone i know who trains MMA all have something wrong with them physically. I actually had to quit because of my injuries they kept getting worse and more frequent.

      Yes, but your injuries don't happen much when you fight. They happen in the training room. I had to quit mma forever because my injuries kept adding up.
      Wrestling probably does cause more injuries overall because you need to keep throwing yourself to the mat but it depends. If you're good at mma not many people can push you to do as much damage on your body. If you're good at wrestling or a big man that doesn't need to take as many bumps you're more protected.
