    I miss John and Joe on ESPN Sunday night Baseball. They're better than the garbage that ESPN has doing it now.

    The Jays had 2 future Hall of Fame second basemen , Roberto Alomar and Jeff Kent

    Jays were already considering one of the best teams because of their 89-91 success and built up momentum. Nice to see a young Jeff Kent before his amazing career in San Francisco.

      Don't forget about their success in 92 and 93.

    It's easy to forget that the Blue Jays were A-listers back in the late 80s-early 90s. They were on national television a LOT - almost as often as the Yankees and Red Sox are in this era. ESPN had at least one, and sometimes up to 3 of their games every week.

    • @chrisguardiano6143
      @chrisguardiano6143 4 года назад +2

      walterlv01 nowadays the Jays are lucky to be on national TV at least in the US. Given the fact that they majority of their fans are Canadian, the only time the Jays are on national TV in the US is when they play the Yankees or Red Sox unless they are doing well which hasn’t been the case in recent years with the exception of 2015 and 2016 when they made the ALCS.

    1:00:30 Flashback days in [1985] ALCS when it all started because of the Pennant rise of MLB! Royals were the Cinderella team in [1985 - 2015].

      Mr. Brovo Not just in 92, but they were contenders for about 10 years in a row starting in like 84 until 94.

    21:56 "Jack Morris had a shutout on opening day in Detroit... he gave up a couple of homers, but finished it." WHAT??? How does a pitcher throw a shutout if he's giving up homers?

    • @badladyami
      @badladyami Год назад

      Because you missed the implied "then".
      "He had a shutout [going] on opening day in Detroit, [then] he gave up a couple of homers, but he finished it."
      Unless English isn't your first language, there's no excuse for you not being able to figure that out.

    Thanks, I really enjoyed baseball before the interleague play....Seligs run ending mean craziness with goofyManfred, and disrespectful players sad, mismatched uniforms wear whatever belt or shoes or socks. Nets in.sight lines, led boards. Almost a third of the clubs in postseason sucks . Its not special anymore. They taken away our tradiona of the game because the.of.money, ads on everything, stupid mike paper thin shirts for all... silly jold up 4 fingers, jumbotrons and led boards at wrigley....no this mosern mlb is.missing the tradition and respect. Organs replaced in Philly w goofy rap rock pop music trash. It used to be like going to church the power of the lights at the stadium, the roar of the crowd, street vendors excited to make.a.few dollars. Now greed made them illegal for.vendorsbto exist. Led.lights repaced bulbs w massive tranformers like the one reggie.hit. And fewer Americans are playing in majors,. The outcome is.now walk.or.home.run. or K.. Not more switching host cities for asg, ugly same uniforms for the whole al.and nl.in the asg. Where the team pride? Oh thereisnone bc players see al.and nl.as.interchangable mlb. Most don't live in theiryeams himetown nor the countryhalf the.time!
    Ppl will abandon mlb, as thwy have killed the minors, and.now the Oriolea are trying to.force ppl to.use their phone for a ticket. Or to print ypur own.what a crock. Imagine they will threaten thw ppl who.wont wear goofy masks too.
    The.owners are disrespecting so.many milb cities gutting the.minors of teams. No more Sally, Carolina or Pac Coat League. All.are gone w generic names.
    Its been bad since manfred. He's killing baseball at mlb level.
