I went to my local Michaels and they had some cakes on sale but they were too busy for me but I was excited for those who could use them! ☺$5 is a great price! Went to Joann’s yesterday and they had TWO aisles of clearance and went to one Hobby Lobby in Phoenix and the girl was marking yarn down on clearance as I walked up 🥳They were marking down the yarn I was needing to finish a project. I went to two other Hobby Lobby’s and nothing was marked down. When I was at the register at one HL that didn’t have any yarn marked down and she asked if I found everything (no lol) told her about he one HL that had clearance yarn - SHE got excited and said she was going to text her sister to go there. Checked a few other Joanns in the metro area and they didn’t have the same items marked down - poor Joann’s, such a mess.

Every time I'd checked, they hadn't any available. When I saw the Skinny Cakes on your video, I immediately paused the video to go order some before watching the rest. Thanks again so much!
I got a bunch of the coconut cakes, but missed out on the skinny cakes, which I love! Can’t complain because I probably have enough yarn for 2 lifetimes!
As far as the app -the new yarns, look at the “sold and shipped by” it’s NOT Michael’s, it’s a 3rd party. MAYBE you could get a good deal that way but, I’m personally not a fan of of Michael’s 3rd party situation.
My yarn was marked, but I didn't really love the feel of the coconut or the swirl. I had bought some skinny cakes a few months back and I could not find a stitch that I thought worked with the yarn. It wasn't soft I had no stitch definition. I finally found the mixed cluster stitch by Bag O Day worked well with it, so I finished up the one color working on a scarf for donation but I returned the other colors, just didn't want to continue to work with it. I would be curious to know what stitches others are using for the skinny cakes that looked ok, because I just didn't enjoy working with it at all.
I just found out we are getting a new Michael’s store in our little town of Venice, FL. It opens on the 28th of June. There goes my yarn diet😬 I appreciate all your videos!
You should show him the picture of the woman that crocheted her twin and her dogs twin. You have to stop to stare at the picture to see which one is the human.
