As a new player to mvc2 but an avid fighting game fan, that spiral gameplay was foul. I genuinely had a look of pure disgust and excitement while watching the knife barrage into super that caused a block infinite, then into a grab super.
I wonder if a sort of randomized draft pick mode would be fun. 2 players both get the same randomized pool of say 12 characters. They can choose any assist, winner has to forfeit their 3 characters unless it's their last 3. Loser can swap out ones they didn't forfeit. There's probably so many variations of this but this video's got me thinking on some fun ways to make low tiers interesing.

I want to say I really prefer evil Justin lol the spiral match had me laughing way too hard. You need to pick your best team and just pick a day of pure evil lol just rip it up.
Noticed alot of the younger/newer players of MVC2 that use Captain Commando, don't use all of his team characters, very rarely do you see them calling his assist team that can really add to his combo possibilities.
Suggestions of handicap challenge: use a controller that you are totally unfamiliar to use for fighting games; ask the viewers for suggestions of wacky teams on purpose and pick the wackiest idea; form a team picking the worst type of assists on purpose to make your synergy worse.
Since a fairly long time I imagined that if this game ever had an updated version, like the SFA3 updates, it would be great to get a random select and a random assist type (separated). And if the devs are generous enough, a visual interface in the select screen showing the strong and weak chars for the sake of the "ratio system" based competition.
i always thought it would be funny if it had a ratio system lile cvs2 where you could pick just 1 or 2 chars with bonus stats. probably wouldnt work as well in this game cause the assists are so important to the combat but maybe you could get the mvc1 type assists rofl
If I may, I propose, that Justin also not play lame cuz we know he can win with his amount of knowledge. But to play with laming someone out and would be interesting. I wanna see him create things on the fly with teams he’s never tried before. He could be doing it now but I know he’s gonna complete this challenge easily hahahah
