That did kind of remind me of Enigma. Ah, the 90s... Was listening to Screaming Trees, Sponge and Better Than Ezra and whilst failing college. I truly believe you would love Rishloo, if you have not already found them. Rishloo is an independent prog rock group from Seattle. The band members ship merch and respond to email themselves. The music is utterly sublime. Put Landmines on sometime; you'll wonder where this hidden gem has been all you life.
Very atmospheric, melancholic and hopeful. Brings to mind Camel's Stationary Traveler song. Spanish guitar, pan flute, with an amazing electric guitar emotional solo at the end.
Awww, I love how you love this, Lex! I had never heard it before, but I have instant affection for it! I was singing along! I even imagined myself as the little Lex, trying to imagine how it would have sounded even more "bigger" and "grander". I've still got it in my head, I"ll proably be singing "amen amen!" all day!! (PS: Happy Birthday!)
Very dramatic in a European vein. Is it the end of an empire? The end of the world? Some of the words are definitely Latín, but some merely sound Latin. Intriguing..... I think I like it! Support your well being with sweet ginger citrus TRILOGY. Contains all the ELP your body needs with only natural ingredients. Ask for it by name. TRILOGY, good taste is good for you! .
Yeah, this is the version less known actually. The remix is the version most of have had heard first. It took me many years to discover this version :)
Cool reaction. Era and Enigma bring a lot of childhood memories as well. The song you guys talked about at the end of the video surely is Enigma - Sadeness, off the album Principles of Lust, I think.
I've never heard of Era before..puts me in mind of The Medieval Baebes who sing Latin chants in a similar style....BTW ..Nightwish have just announced a US tour for next year. They're in Denver CO 15th May.
If you like this, check out Delirium (trance/chanting/world music) or Deep Forest, who had a massive hit with Sweet Lullaby (world music/native singing). Worth listening to even if you don't react to them.
The song you are thinking of is Sadeness by Enigma. A brilliant album. Turn off the light, take a deep breath, start to move slowly... ( The album's spoken intro).
They have other good songs like 'Looking for something' or 'If you shout'. They're a bit random now, because of the pop/gregorian chant mix, but it's very catchy.
It’s very Enigma-esque, you can tell they were heavily influenced by Enigma, it’s been nearly 30 years since I have listened to an Enigma song, but as soon as the song started, it brought Enigma straight to mind. If I was played this song blind, without knowing the Artist, I would have guessed it was Enigma, lol Era was never on my radar, they must have come out late 90’s because at that time I was listening to Hip-hop mostly, then when that got too repetitive I went back to classic rock and more generally the 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s when music was at its best. Less mainstream music wasn’t really easily accessible then, no music streaming, no social media, so wasn’t exposed to some of the lesser known but good music that was of the era, only the trashy music got exposure and it was trash, radio stations and music shows on TV didn’t play the good stuff that was being created at the time so only the trashy music got mainstream exposure but on the plus side, with how music now is even worse than back then, having a Apple Music subscription has meant I have been able to discover those hidden gems and I have a S tonne of unheard music to listen and discover from that time and this channel has been very good at introducing me to music I have never heard before and I suspect Era might be another to add to the list, lol
Love this! I know you love the 70's... could you please react to Karen Carpenter's haunting singing of Superstar (1971)? She was only 21 when she sung this song. The Carpenters were the best-selling group of the 1970's and Karen Carpenter has one of the most unique, 3-octave contralto voices ever heard. Of all of their hits, Superstar stands out. It is different. Her voice will draw you in and take you to a special place. There are many versions of her singing of Superstar on RUclips, but this one is the best: ruclips.net/video/jQ5KKoDmtPo/видео.html. Of course, the official music video of Karen singing this song is even better: ruclips.net/video/SJmmaIGiGBg/видео.html. She was such a lovely songbird...
This is another new one for me. I liked when the guitar kicked in, that was a surprise. All in all, not bad.

Enigma =Devil worship
New age forever!
That Era song is excellent! Great job Lex!
Era is a French project by Erik levy the words are made up as in not a real language but made to sound Latin. You should see them live

You guys should try Divano and Misere Mani.❤❤❤
El sonido de ese disco cuando salió lo amé!!
I love this album. This tune was used in a coffee ad here in Australia.
I believe the song you were thinking of is "Sadeness" by Enigma.
Eric Levy es un genio !! 😉👍
De verdaíta.

Love Era, my favorite song from that album is "Mother".

It is not Latin but rather pseudo-Latin. It's meant to sound like Latin but actually has no meaning. Completely made up.
Era is fusion. A fusion of different centuries.
I've never heard of Era before..puts me in mind of The Medieval Baebes who sing Latin chants in a similar style....BTW ..Nightwish have just announced a US tour for next year. They're in Denver CO 15th May.
It’s a French band :-)
We had this track at our wedding.

Strange. 😄
Not my thing, to be honest, but I think I've heard this somewhere back in the early 00s.
I LOVE THIS~ THANKS LEXI
Era is the French group ^^
I love your Pink Floyd Cover on the wall ,Dark side of the moon

Its pseudolatin language, but heavily inspired by Cathar music.
Check out the 2 new releases from
Transatlantic (Neil Morse)
They are excellent new Prog
ENGIMA WAS ONE OF THE BEST BANDS IN THE WORLD BEST PLAYED IN A SEMI LIT ROOM
It sounds like you were talking about Enigma, at the end of the video.
I sent you a link on FB about the re-imagining of Pink Floyd's Animals, by many Prog artists. I've already heard "Dogs" from it. I like it.
Hermoso tema y hermosa banda
Ese trabajo en particular está muy bueno
At the end these two were talking about enigma

the music video is for the remix, right?
