Every cranky person needs a friend like Will who never gets down (or shows it), rain or shine. When he said, "this is my big boy camera." You might have said, "what about getting a Burano" and he would have delivered it perfectly, "What's a Burano, is that a new kind of burrito?"

The difference between "set it to X" and "how many positions are there and what do they say?" - obviously David's son learning stuff on the job is like a small sub-plot of these video, but I do love it.

Another cool episode, great to see other people's set ups - I'd totally watch that kind of guest appearance more often. Rich's compartmentalization is super nice, you can see the logic behind it and why it works. I love this approach. "Kit your Sh!t", as someone said. I did notice one... redundancy in his ride: that Kartmaster could be mounted on the front in place of the ram bar, haha - but I'm only half kidding, it's the toughest cart out there by a country mile. Q: Is the audio dropping off on Rich couple of times? At first I thought maybe you're bleeping him, but didn't seem like it.

@ToxicMetropolis DJI mics dropped out. You are right on the kartmaster. The only cart which can survive weekly baggage handlers.

Great stuff David. Is there a way you can ask your son if he can give you the link to the 3D printer file for those slick Osee T5+ screen covers? I have looked on Thingverse, etc. and I can't find the file and I need one. I'm currently dismounting my T5+ and carrying it in a soft Porta brace bag but it would save time to just leave it on the camera but I'm afraid of the screen getting scratched up in my camera bag.
Great tip on the Foam Block, just ordered one!
    Thanks!

    • @MrAndrewClaycomb

The combination of low roof and low deck can be a real back killer if you aren’t traveling with carts ready to roll out. And if you’re going that far, I’d rather have a cargo style minivan with solid sheet metal window panels.

    • @MrAndrewClaycomb

This isn’t hypothetical. Productions love to rent minivans on travel jobs, and they suck to load a bunch of pelicans in and out of.
And also, moms do in fact complain about their backs hurting while loading their kids in and out of cars.

I hire estate/wagon cars as much as I can, if I can fit everything in and there's no problem with kit being visible. An SUV is a default hire if I'm with a crew, etc. - more space for everyone and their stuff. It's all about what's the right rig for the job. In this case, if the ex-cop-car works for access, it's a win.
