excellent tutorial - so often there are steps not shown - the "a miracle happens here" kind of thing - no miracles needed for this project - clear and complete - thank you very much

Excellence tutorial! I have been knitting for many years and this is exactly how I would teach a beginner. Learning how to cast on and knit those first few rows is so difficult. Tension without dropping stitches is so hard to achieve. This is where many give up. New knitters can replay your tutorial as often as needed.. Bravo. 👍

Thank you so much!! Your tutorial is excellent! I did learn to knit years ago, but never did well. Especially with tension. I saw the Continental style and thought maybe I should try again. It has been so long that I had forgotten how to cast on. The long tail way is super! Keep doing what you do!!!😃

But what happens when you drop a stitch? Like you're getting the hang if knitting so you're working a bit faster but then you skipped a stitch because it fell off or whatever? Any time I di this I pull out the whole project and start over 😭

Hi Anne! You don't have to rip out the entire project if you drop a stitch. Instead, you can pick up the dropped stitch without unraveling the work as long as you notice it has fallen off the needle and fix it before continuing with the following rows. I don't have a video on this yet, but you can just search for "how to pick up a dropped stitch in garter stitch" and you'll find one. I hope this helps!
