The last one!!!! NOOOOOO!!! Well ok. This was the best one yet! The capellan confederation is so hard to pin down. Chancellor to Chancellor the realm is never idle. Other than the clans everyone has taken a huge poke at them and they keep going like roaches. The fourth succession war would have seen them gone if Hans hadn't been a nice guy just making a point. Ever since Maximilian the chancellors have all been nuts. And everyone loves to pick on them. Then again they bring it in themselves so it stands to reason it's just carma. The rest of the government is such a cluster f##k it's amazing anything happens at all. The people are what makes the capellan confederation exist. The citizens have so much vested in the realm they can't afford to let it fall. If it wasn't for the warrior houses and the lower levels of the cape armed forces being so devoted to the nation state existence the higher government would have bogged down and fed the worlds of the federation too the other house back before the Star league. With mechs like the vindicator, cataphract and trebuchet as standard machines they are hard to stop and solid performers in battle. They have even managed to get some very notable Merc units to more or less become house units for centuries some how, though in later years that changed. They weathered the jihad really well because of the messed up government, xenophobic and absolutely devoted citizens. WoB had a heck of a time doing anything, can't destabilize a government with surprise attacks when it's function, though absolute, is more often in the way. Any WoB actions against lieo only helped the realm. When it came to the dark age the tricky ducks has a leg up a well since they "disarmed" like everyone else but put all their dakka in moth balls instead of the scrap pile. They had the biggest and nasties army out there thanks to the Chancellor. And thanks to the Chancellor they didn't get a bloody thing done besides mash up their toys and piss off everyone. Oh well. On the table top and in the rpg I love to play against the capellan confederation, I also enjoy playing as them. Monkey wrenches all over the place in the rpg and the warrior houses are tough hombres. The characters of those houses have great skills and are ruthless. NEVER punch out when fighting the capellans they will either shoot you with mech grade weapons if you are lucky, stomp on you, use wmd on you if they haven't already, let one of their many house varieties of battle armor open you up with a battle claw. Or if you are having really bad luck you get captured. The intelligence network of the capellans is not very good outside their borders but damn if they don't know how to get someone to talk... For years... Then if you are still alive you get to go though reeducation. As a whole the capellans get spanked regularly but they are tremendously interesting and probably deeper than any other house, they are almost always the antagonist, and very little is written about them as the main character. They aren't really a major player in the game of the inersphere but they are cunning, devious, brutal, ruthless and dangerous enough to their own people that you can't afford to turn your back to them. They have always been used as the balance card till the clans arrived. If Davion was kicking marik can too bad leio comes and hurts them in places they left open. Basically you poke someone and the capellans are on your other border waiting for you to move "all the way over there" they don't care if they can't keep what they got when you turn around, they will still do it. They can't help it they are capellans. Well done on this video GDN I love the series I sincerely hope this isn't the last battletech post just the last house video. To my knowledge you are the only one with the sand to do bt lore and I wish you could play a couple games with my brother and I.

This deserved to be pinned. Also, its just the last Inner State video for now. I'll keep at it with a Comstar video next, then maybe some technology or get right into individual mechs.

@@GrimDarkNarrator I love seeing this. You are doing a great job for a self proclamed noob. My brother and I have been bt fantastics over 20 years and it's amazing to see. I can't say enough how much I enjoy this. Comstar is going to be a great video. And tech and mechs are going to really get your comments section going. The lore on space travel and communication is pretty well filed out too. TRO description of mechs and the table top performance can vary wildly and individual players do as well. My brother and I to this day, last week infact, spend hours on one mech or it's varieties simply because we play different. You can bet I'm going to sound off on mechs lol. May I recommend starting with mech grade equipment so your viewers have the terminology down. the playable early generation mechs? 2100s unification era or more simplistically 3025 second-fourth succession war TRO so you don't spend lots of time eating lost tech. I would cover them by weight lightest to heaviest weight with the fluf, after doing a Mackie video of course, load of lore of the first of the gods of battle.

I found boosters of the old MW Clix game for sale at a heavy discount. I bought all of them and cracked open 60+ in total. I got a lot of Liao units, including Unique (Legendary) characters, so I wanted to know more about them.
Also, in Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries, you fight against the Cappas, but we're never given much back story.
While they are not my favorite faction, I certainly love having a lot of their units to play with and against. Having lore to support them makes the experience all the better. Thank you.

Don't worry about it, they are almost never main characters. They are back stabbing types. They are devoted as all hell and dangerous but even from the beginning they were used as a balancing force in the universe by the franchise. Not big enough a threat to go straight after with bigger problems elsewhere, but as soon as you start to finally gain ground on those bigger fish and it looks like someone might turn the tide the capellans sneak in and blow up a couple mech factors, poison a planet and you have to turn around or risk losing any ability to didn't at all lol. But welcome to battletech, don't do trade deals with marik and don't punch out in a fight with Lio mech warrior and don't hang around when an Atlas shows up. Welcome to the addiction I have had since 1993.
