@@maliqgashi8543 Tf are you talking about? I've been a developer for 5 years. I waltz into work at 10am and am gone by 5pm every day. My job isn't easy, but it's certainly not ridiculously hard. There's far more developer positions outside of Silicon Valley.

@@TobySimone well didnt say that there is no other developer positions but if you want to be paid you'll have to work quit more and harder. And sometimes people don't find jobs near them so they have to go I don't know how many miles(or kilometers) away to work every day. You'r only looking at the job and how many hours you work there but i garante you that you'll have to work at home 50% of the time to finish some project if you want to keep that job cus you can be replaced pretty easily these days
@@maliqgashi8543 I've been in the industry for many years now and have never had to work from home to finish a project. I work 8 hours a day and that's it. I'm paid pretty good for my area and age as well. You can't base your entire view of the industry on silicon valley.

i couldn't say that these office and the cool building is all a person needs, before 1 year i always want to live these live now i live it and believe me , its not what it looks like in the videos

@@aammssaamm I get that, I once went for a job about a mile away from my house, it was a crap job so I didn't want it anyway, but in hindsight, I don't think I'd ever feel far enough away from work.

Don't be fooled all the time he is eating he is designing software using his IR(Internal Reality) headset
it depends on the company, out of all my internships I've been to big and small companies. Big companies usually give us little to no work for the time we spend there, start ups work us to death, but we learn so much. Big companies revolve around impact and politics, while small companies is where everyone is like family and your strengths are utilized to the max. Snacks are also not as plentiful and only a few free meals for small places. A lot of people dislike large tech companies even with their huge bonuses and stock options.

Depends, if your school has programming classes talk to your counselor about those. In my opinion try online learning sites like codecademy. Graduate with a good gpa go to college and major in computer science.

90% of those "a day in a life of a software engineer" is fake, they just make a lot of cool thins in the of the recording, so you will think his life is totally fun, when in reality, software engineers spend most of their time coding, debugging, and alone. dont get me wrong, this os great, for example, i love doing this, but juniors will watch this video thinking thats the reality
