The Sand Scorcher glass is open in the back , so you can put your finger in and clip the body down properly. A push on the roof doesn't clip it in well. The MB has full glass , and you can't get to the roof body clip .
Sorry to be off topic but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost my password. I love any tricks you can offer me
@Caspian Niko Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Modern cars may be better, but these cars are awesome, and iconic. I love how they designed the suspension after a real vw suspension. I will own one of these one day
Cool bananas my dude! I'm so glad that you pointed out that the Monster Beetle body is red plastic. So I've just ordered a MB body, plus the extra packs for the front and the windows. I have a new Sand Scorcher waiting to get built, probably over the xmas break. But I want to run it with a red shell as my two 1/1 Beetles that I drove daily were both red, way back in the 80s. I saw he first release of the SC back in 1980 i the UK and wanted one then. Luckily I'm still only 67, so I can still play with my toys!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😁😁😁😁
Oh yes, I have two of those little BMX jumps, the same as yours. I "join" them with a piece of floor protector type stuff and some duck tape, on the "jump" surface. Can't rem what it's called, but it's black plastic in the form of corrugated cardboard.
Awesome! I like your thinking on shelf queens. They should be driven and if the part breaks I would just wait until bother part pops up on eBay. Or I would just get another rolling chassis for parts. To me, you are not a real enthusiast if you don’t run your RC and break it. Guys like RC kicks and Tamiya legends baby to much on their RC’s. To me, like you said, life it so short run it break it have fun with it!!!😂
great video brotha!! not sure why your body keeps comin off , mine is good and tight. try flipping the shocks upside down so they don't leak, works great!!
Already built?!? Dang lol. Yes i agree, not innovative today but wow for 1979?!? I love it. Always loctite metal to metal, tried both locked and diff, i prefer the lock
@Bastelhans I did not know if they extended the nose cone on that if you need the front end part I'm sure you can buy it from the company or somewhere else.

One of the best RC vehicles of all time!

Are you from Culver City? I grew up in Culver City in the 70s and 80s. Saw the stickers on your car.
Just love the Sand Scorcher..... Great video mate 👍
Thanks!
Great build. My SRB body clips are super tight. I hardly get the body off or on.

I was gonna wait to build it but I just got too excited...
You know the super champ is coming back out again which has the amount of shock of this car on the rear.
Im aware
RC cars are meant to be driven. Just like classic cars. 😁
Is that the monster beetle body you got it from the monster beetle what you do with the original sand scorcher and body?
Yes it's from my Monster Beetle I sold. I have the Sand Scorcher body I just haven't painted it yet
@Bastelhans I did not know if they extended the nose cone on that if you need the front end part I'm sure you can buy it from the company or somewhere else.
The super champ might have a longer wheelbase and it has a mono reservoir shock in the rear.
Superchamp has the same wheelbase
In my opinion a spool is much better than a differential especially in a 2wd situation
I'm surprised you're running a lipo you said you don't usually run lipos with your vintage and I have that same exact meter for the battery.
Yes I would like to run NiMH if I can but I didn't have one that fit at the moment to test it
You are aware that that front suspension on that is an actual replica from that era of the beetle?
I'm aware
awesome video
I've seen people run nine turn brushless motors in it.
When you're running in sand in certain dirt you want that locked up diff.
Im aware
How to do that?
Subs your channel
I don't believe in shelf queen cars either.
