I'm very happy to hear you're getting out more, and growing in confidence, anxiety in its various forms can be crippling, so keep on trying just a little bit every day. I don't even know you, but I'm proud of you. 🙌🏻 With regards to the video style, personally, I think a mix of both would be good. Some pieces to camera for the general stuff (also to help nudge you out of that comfort zone), and then for the detailed, up close stuff on the cars, you could relax back into the old style too, just my thoughts. Either way, keep on keeping on, love the depth of detail that you get into. 👏🏻

Great video on an interesting and detailed model. With regard to the stripped grub screw, have you tried the obvious things like supporting the back of the cup against something solid (like a vice or just a thick piece of steel) and gently tapping in a slightly larger torx key or socket? A gentle bit of heat might help release any thread lock that may have been used. A half shaft snapped in a Land Rover!! It truly IS a replica! 😆 Ask me how i know... 🙄

Super cool seeing someone other than a man in the RC world. I was looking up mini t racing to see if there was anything new since I last looked and saw this channel. Which is super cool. I have my own mini T/B track in NM and im the only one who has a track for these guys at the moment. I do have some videos on my other channel @katiektent. If you're ever interested in checking stuff out, I'll be posting more stuff about rc's too since I'm currently into the 24th scale crawlers and mini z racing. I have the d110 and d90 . The d90 is my favourite put a set of brass wheels on any of them and they are awsome . But the d90 is the most fun of all I've got a set of 52 gram (each wheel ) wheels and injora s5 tyres on mine it's almost unstoppable

the mad van ve is fast until something breaks which happens about every 2 packs and then the car sits while you wait for out of stock parts to came back into stock. kyosho took a light duty street car chassis and threw on longer arms with massive wheels the design was never made to handle, the front hub design is the worst i have ever seen, kyosho made the made van to sell not to run.....

I am a bit obsessed with scale, so I checked some numbers: The Rover is 1/13.2, the Toyota is 1/10.9, and the mini Chevrolet is 1/16.8. And your 'yapping' is good; keep it up!

They look great! I have just fitted the lunchbox tyres to my Monster beetle wheels and i have found the tyres wobble a lot. They seem to be seated correctly. Did you have the same problem?

I know the Quadtracks fit on this chassis. I wonder if you could replace the two rear sets of wheels with the treads and make a Half track?

tamiya is overpriced

Nice to see you back with a video! I really enjoyed this comparison...I've had one on my wish list for a long time, this has helped me understand the platform better. In the end for me I love the build, but I have an axial xr10, the original ax10 scorpion and deadbolt plus I made my Tamiya dynahead a crawler with a lot of nice upgrades. So this car is not necessarily for its abilities, but I definitely enjoy how it looks and its unique nature. I think your mods and upgrades are perfect. Hope you been well! I'm an old sub but never comment as I was on console yt for so long(can't comment on console).

Always a joy to find channels from younger people my age talking about Tamiya. Every time I tell people I have basically only Tamiyas, they look perplexed, as though someone in their 20s should be buying only Traxxas or Aarma.

What's the wheel diameter for the slammed wheels with the tyre? Also does the led lights stay on if you leave them both turned on and not in use?

I find it hard to believe you run it into curbs at 25 or 30 mph with out breaking a knuckle. Plastic knuckles break easily on curbs at high speeds. I've broken them on things much more expensive and well built that this RC. Concrete and curbs are da devil. Good review, I am just a chronic knuckle buster and pessimistic too. Thanks for the review.

Excellent video! Question. Can you turn at or near full speed on pavement without it rolling over? Pertaining to turning would this is or 4wd manta ray handle pavement sriving better. Not into bashing and rarely get to go in the dirt. Thank you!

I got my verry brand new fms scx k10 1/18 I stuck one off the back wheels and bent the shaft a little bit because plastic basically and start skipping in first gear only and still driving on flat surface but it seen struggle make that noise on obstacle so I really hope I got similar situation and good video to watching good job 👍🏻

problems with tamiya rc's like this is most of them are queen shelfed purposed, lack of parts & metal gears. seems like they wont fixed it now & for next decade.
