I really love how AKI is kinda just rockstaring her way around at the minute. She was already cool, but the new outfit and buffs just add to it

Nothing says “I’m here to play” like trying something extremely ambitious off the rip. It’s the kind of thing that immediately makes me wonder “Wait, do I need to take this guy really seriously, or really unseriously?”, and that already probably means he has the psychological one-up on me.

Ever since AKI got buffed, I stg, I’ve whiffed H-whip in combos 100% more than I did pre-patch. I’m deadass about to drop this character over something that wasn’t even patched, I’m going insane
Reading this almost put me in tears man. I am the same exact way. I hadn’t played a lot of sf since tekken dropped but I know for damn sure I can do a few quarter circles

Yeah Ed definitely got a little shafted this season. Not only is light scaling worse (and he relies on those quite a bit) but with Drive Reversal and by extension wake up Drive Rev being -6, he can't punish them heavily since he doesn't have a 6 frame medium. He has to default to, you guessed it, the now nerfed lights.
Probably the best thing for Ed this season is not losing meter gain on level 2, which is doing a lot of heavy lifting for him strength wise, especially with the new route Momochi is doing. But they will probably come for that as they have with most level 2s that allow you to build meter after.
I honestly hope they keep the lvl 2 meter build. Maybe tone it down a bit but it makes going for the difficult routes worth it.

@@idonthaveaname7769 I said he got shafted A LITTLE, by the universal changes, and that's mad downplay? Nowhere did I say the character was weak, or bad, just that the changes this season weren't favorable to him along with him receiving basically none.

I wish they would fix Psycho Knuckle to somewhat function like the EX version in SFV. I cannot find a real use for it currently. Like a perfect charged OD version from a hard knockdown to force an opponent wake up choice would be great.
Also the parry changes helped Ed. It allows you to punish parries way more during your mix ups. Ed didnt get the best season but he could have had worse tbh

I think Ed is legitimately the hardest character on the roster to play right now. He’s very lab intensive to get high value and he unintuitive to play when starting out. No overhead and a playstyle based around out boxing and whiff punishing. And he arguably got nerfed in the season 2 patch. I get why Sajam was struggling, Ed’s not really a character you can just pick up and play effectively.
I just got the game about 4 days ago I started out with Steve in T7 people said he was the hardest and I love boxing archetype characters still trying but ed's fun prolly cus I love boxing

Ed has to work a little harder to achieve what other characters can do in a few simple strings, but it feels amazing to know your pressure and tight defense is overwhelming your opponent

In other words try to initiate first instead of walking back and trying to bait out an option your character doesn't really have an answer to anyway
Between Ken and Akuma so it's a first world problem for sure but idk what I'm feeling like atm. Both are good and both are fun. I like Akuma's combo routes more but prefer Ken's more aggro playstyle

I'm in the same boat in SF6, you're not alone. Hoping elena is my thing, but even if not I've been having a good time messing around in ranked with whatever character sticks out in select. Had a gief day I really enjoyed a while back, even though I'm not a big grappler guy. Maybe the same might be fun for you?

The best thing about sajam is that, he’s a really great player, but also not pro level. Making a lot of gameplan very doable without dumping thousands of hour to learn and copy from. AND I happen to main Rashid

For some reason, everyone remembers final season Ed and forget how bad he was for 80% of the game's lifespan.

Please stop saying they over buffed gief... He went from like bottom 1 to mid tier. I don't want a repeat of SFV where he was a decent character for 1 damn season and just got absolutely abused in every patch after words.
Hes fine how he is now, he still has a lot of weaknesses built into his kit, his defense is still crummy, he still really susceptible to drive impact, his hit confirms are still really expensive. Let him be an okay character he doesn't have to be the worst in the game for the next 7 years of this games lifespan.
I don't have any other character in the game I like, the odds of my favorite characters being added are nearly zero. I'm incredibly unhappy with the state of big body grapplers in every modern fighting. I'm on the verge of straight up quitting fighters as a whole they depress me. Let fucking big body grapplers have something please for the love of god let me have some fucking fun.
