  • 2018-2020 Land Rover Discovery is powered by Jaguar Land Rover’s efficient range of four and six cylinder petrol and diesel engines, all paired with a smooth and responsive ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox. They include:
    - The award-winning new 180HP 2.0-litre Ingenium four-cylinder Td4 diesel engine.
    - The more powerful twin-turbo Sd4 Ingenium four-cylinder diesel produces 240HP and an impressive 500Nm of torque.
    - Six-cylinder diesel power comes from the 258HP Td6, which delivers 600Nm of torque for strong performance, pulling power and efficiency.
    - For petrol customers, Land Rover’s advanced 340HP supercharged petrol 3.0-litre V6, the Si6, provides 450Nm of torque to deliver relaxed performance and capability.
    A comprehensive suite of off-road driving technologies ensures New Discovery’s supreme all-terrain capability is easy to access for even inexperienced drivers. Land Rover’s multi-mode Terrain Response 2 system optimises a range of settings, from throttle sensitivity to gearchange characteristics, to suit the driving conditions at the turn of a rotary controller - and can even select the optimum setting automatically if drivers are unsure of the best choice.
    When tackling particularly challenging terrain, All-Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) can be programmed to autonomously maintain a suitable crawl speed chosen by the driver. The clever technology allows the driver to concentrate solely on steering the vehicle as they negotiate obstacles, without the distraction of operating the throttle or brake pedals, and can also be used from a standstill to help when pulling away on slippery surfaces.
    The new Discovery going on sale in the UK with prices from £43,495.

      Brother, try this vehicle in jungle routes of india. The terrain in this video is nothing compared to the real off roading roads that u find plenty in India. When this vehicle gets stuck there's only one alternate car that can always get such beasts out of tricky terrain and its called MAHINDRA THAR !!!

    Yo tengo 2 lan rover Discobery una seri2 y otra serie 3 la de ti 4 está también muy hermosa y la 2018 es buena pero para el prestigio de lan rover tienen el gran reto de mejorar su estilo como la de ti 2,3,y 4 porque la nueva tiene un estilo a la Explorer y también la ranger rover se parece a la Explorer mi punto de vista lan rover es de prestigio y he escuchado comentarios que la está haciendo Ford campany y creo ford tiene el gran reto de llevar a lan rover a mantener su prestigio y calidad como tiempos pasados

    Suspension articulation looks weak to me. How many times in the video do you see at least one wheel in the air. If the wheel is in the air it isn't helping to move the vehicle forward or hold it back.
    It's a good thing that the hill decent at the end of the video wasn't longer or that rig would have been in serious trouble.

    • @trevorscars
      @trevorscars 5 лет назад

      That is what you get with air suspension.
      When you're on your tippy toes can you articulate?

    I feel owning one of these and not having solid rear axle front to rear will make you regret buying this auto crap judging from the sound of the computer lock and unlocking axles when slip is detected.

      lol, this video is about cars, not aliens TEC... Nothing can come across Toyota TEC in term of reliability and Utility..
      All world 4x4 from 2day can't compete VS gx470, even VS the old LX 450..
      so you are a little cheater if you have an GX470, you don't have the right to talk about 4x4 Cars, we don't compare guns to Tanks :)

    Land Rover - a tow truck driver's dream come true: Walter M, Takes one
    of these to Death Valley NP, turns down the dirt road to Race Track,
    uses the hydraulics to raise ground clearance and speeds on his way!
    Until he happens on a shallow gully cut across the road during last
    winter's storm. When the low profile tires quickly compress, the
    diminished suspension travel (from using the hydraulics to raise ground
    clearance) fully compress and in a mater of milliseconds, two tires and
    two rimes are destroyed, However, this is only the beginning of
    Walter's problems as the nearest town that has replacement parts is
    hundreds of miles away!

  • @sohailbakr9741

    I think what happened in the end is completely dangerous and the car was out of control . There's a system in Toyota to control while coming down the hills

    • @acetransporter1783
      @acetransporter1783 6 лет назад +1

      Gther is on discoveries too, called hill descent control, obviously not used as it will keep vehicle at a set speed, from 4mph to 8mph at least it has on the disco 4, works well, plus in low ratio it will do the same in 1st gear!

    • @TheAegisClaw
      @TheAegisClaw 6 лет назад +1

      On slick mud like that nothing stops you sliding down. Electronics can work well, but if all the wheels slide you're going at a speed dictated by the weight of the vehicle, like it or not.
