Oh wow! This is amazing. I said this before and will say it again, Barbara your attention to detail is just out of this world. Every single element is so beautifully created. Your projects are always full of inspiration. Thank you❤
This is so cool and grungy! I normally don't gravitate toward travel journals but this one is awesome! I also love how you leave in your little oopsies! 🥰🤩
Lucky lady to find such a nice piece of denim. Nice to know, the crocodile will punch through all the materials. Thanks. Love the journal.Have a great weekend, Barbara.
This was an absolutely awesome video. I just love where you're going with this and can't wait to see the next video. I have a number of projects I must do first. But I definitely would like to make a Jean junk Journal. And I might come by and the ideas from the two of them you have made. Love and hugs from New Mexico
Barbara, love this journal so far. You made me smile during the video. You did things I would probably do…leave the lid on the robber. 😊. Looking forward to part two. TFS! ❤️
thank you so much for this tutorial! I just finished repairing my dogs bed using 2 pairs of jeans and I had left over denim that I didn't know what to do with. I'm measuring it out now to get started on your beautiful project 😊 ❤
I'd have put the button shank through the tab only, before gluing, and then glued or sewn the tab to the denim, so the shank isn't seen on the inside cover. Or put the shank through the tab first and then through the denim, then glue the tab on, so the holes can be tighter. But it's great and the link to the fabrics is fantastic for someone living on a farm in New Zealand!!! Thank you, great project, I want to copy this.🥰🥰🥰
My friend just gave me some pieces of denim and here I see this gorgeous, unique project full of texture that you are creating and now I know just what to do with that denim! Thank you for being such an inspiration.
Looks amazing so far! I really like how grungy it looks! Don’t you just love happy mistakes! That’s when your journal creates itself! Lol. I still have to try you bubble dying! Looks so cool!
This jeans travel journal is fantastic! I''m just finishing up an Edith Holden "rag book", and this will definitely be my next project! Thank you so much for the inspiration Barbara! Cheers from NE Florida!
Inspiring, thank you! I have a jeans top (really nice) I sewed many years ago. I've been waiting for it to fit me again, but as that's not going to happen, I'm thinking junk journal cover... :)
I feel what you are saying! I recently made a Jean journal from a pair if embroidered jeans I no longer fit into 😮😢. I never throw denim/Jean anything away😊 always save for the I don’t know projects😊
I love it😍 thank you so mutch for sharing your great journals 😍 lots of love from arctic Norrway at 21, cloudy and waithing for a tunderstorm day🙌🏵🌻🌺🌹🌼
I was born & raised in the Chicago suburbs. My parents were both born & raised in the ethnic neighborhoods of Chicago...my father's family was Italian and my mother's was German. (We still have one of the steamer trunks that came from Germany!) Chicago is an AMAZING city with so much to do! And eat!! I would highly recommend a visit!❤
Oh Barbara! What a beautiful journal❤❤❤! Those tags are just are like icing on the cake😊😊😊. I’m a denim/jean lover so this video is right up my alley! I❤you, mwah mwah💋 💋 I so look forward to your video’s because you make me reach every time I watch them😊😊❤❤
Cool, I'm squirreling denim away atm, it's lovely to work w. Lol in the 90's I frayed my sleeves like that all the way down but wore a lot if rings so had to put gloves on as they'd constantly get caught 😄. Cool fabric 😎! I got my roll of inkjet canvas and SO MANY digitals to choose from🙊. Best brown paper! Great gluing advice, done it the wrong before🙈. I did the same closure once, it's lovely and sturdy. Cool pocket 😍. Such cute bulldog clips 😍. Oops a diddles, no mistakes just happy accidents! Gorgeous😍 looking forward to seeing the 2nd part! Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
I just love your choice of materials! I have that Tim Holtz stamp set! I think it was one of the first ones I bought, years ago! I am so delighted to see you use it!!!! What beautiful work!!!
Oh you have to come to Australia! We’d love to have you & you’d find so much inspiration for your art (which would make it tax deductible!). We even have our own acrylic paints based on some of the colours in our landscapes, like Holcroft’s Daintree, Coastal Turquoise, Whitsunday, Paper Bark, Wattle, Aussie Red Gold etc. And we’re not really that far from Europe by plane 😁
