When replacing the M.2 SSD, do you buy M.2 2260 or M.2 2280? I understand 2260 is shorter in length than 2280....

You can but disconnecting battery cable is recommended!
Ive got same laptop with Windows preinstaled on solid hdd, im planing to buy ssd and reinstall windows on it, which model you recommend and what size ? And whst is best way to reinstall windows from hdd to sdd
I would go with Samsung SSD's, just make sure it's compatible with your laptop. As for windows, i always install clean version from USB. Never really copied OS from one to another.. just easier and faster.

How did it automatically installed Windows in your new SSD?
Nothing happened automatically, don't think it was said in he video! Just in case if its not clear, windows needs to be installed again
