      @@BrodyTheFormerAntiFurry Good, as a 16 yr I have some advice for you. When you turn 13 in 4 years, you will experience alot of hormones making your voice deeper ( for men) or Squeaky.( for girls) OCD is a Anxiety disorder, That means that you will have some thoughts of self harm or others. Ignore them By closing your eyes for awhile then opening it, if someone asks why your doing that Say " Got something in my eye" Or actively speak to your therapist about it. Double think things that seems real but could be utterly wrong, Hormones likes to put Thoughts like that. You might be panicking reading this but It's nothing serious to worry about, when you grow up you'll understand if not. Talk to your therapist. That's all I have to say

    Ok here is my experience -
    OCD -
    There are many type of here is one of them-
    Repeating some work again and again
    Whenever you do some step of work and while doing that your brain associate any random thought with this step
    And if this thought is good for you then OCD will not occur
    But if this thought is bad for you then OCD will occur
    And we repeat this task until the thought associated with our step did not become good
    And from here cycle starts
    And the bad thing about OCD is that whenever we try to decrease it , it becomes more stronger
    So what is the solution of OCD
    Just ignore the fu*king thought and just do your work
    Be strong my friend you will overcome this💪💪

    • @zzzcocopepe

      I love the way you put that. You really broke it down. I think it's usually some kind of feeling of shame or embarrassment. Or just any negative feeling I guess. Like, I think a lot of it might be indignation too. Because somebody is telling us to stop and have no business telling us what to do. So we decide to do it anyways. Or maybe somebody tries to shame us and tries to mock us, so that makes us feel bad about it. Either way, it's what you said, we attach a negative feeling to the action. And then we have to prove to ourselves that we can do it, or we feel conflicted and part of us wants to do it part of us doesn't. But not doing it, we feel like that would be caving into a bully.
      But I think that if you try to get through OCD this way, through understanding your emotions. You probably need to talk to somebody. Because you probably need some kind of validation to interrupt that negative feeling.

    • @ephemeral8997
      @ephemeral8997 7 месяцев назад +1

      That is a no solution, man. It is what most people do, "ignore" the problem.
      In the DSM-V it has been explictly defined that "The individual attempts to ignore or suppress these obsessions (e.g., avoiding triggers or using thought suppression) or to neutralize them with another thought or action (e.g., performing a compulsion)."
      It will only lead the problem to be worse.

    • @ephemeral8997
      @ephemeral8997 7 месяцев назад +2

      What you are all talking about isn't about a clinical setting.
      OCD is a disorder and like any disorder, in any area of life, it means something that causes the individual to suffer.
      Obsessions are intrusive thoughts that you cannot get rid of your mind, and it distresses you and causes a lower quality of life and dissatifaction. For example, you can't "mentally remove" these images of violence that pop up in your head, and they cause a wide variety of issues in occupational, professional or social lives.
      What is often misunderstood, is that the person *IS trying* to get rid of the thought.
      The person uses a wide variety of coping mechanisms, that include compulsion, or a repetitive pattern of behavior that also causes distress and in which the person wants to stop this pattern although theh cannot, or pretending it doesn't exist or invalidating them all.
      Unfortunately, these all are ineffective coping mechanisms and don't work.
      The individual in this video (I have yet to know him more well, I am new on this channel) is telling the person to *validate* these thoughts as well as to react with an unexpected affect such as joy or pleasure.
      I have yet to study whether he is absolutely correct or not. Again, I am a new member.

      I apologize if my English has been puzzling.

    • @ephemeral8997
      @ephemeral8997 7 месяцев назад

      Repeating some work over and over does not have to be indicative of OCD, at all.
      It has to be distressing for the individual.
      For example, if I get to repeat something as the only apparent resort to me, even when doing so would make me suffer more, to find relief from the recurrent thoughts that I cannot get rid out of my mind otherwise, and it significantly affects my life, I might have OCD.
      For example if I wash my hand more than once, despite me not wanting to at all, in which causes me to spend hours, or to possibly get contact dermatitis, I would typically be concerned there's something wrong, as this is not a "usual" behavior.
      Another example includes checking the door too many times out of perfectionism or excessive worry both related to OCD. If I check the door too many times, although I do not want to, to find relief from the recurrent, distressing thoughts, I would be concerned about this behavior of mine.
      But if I repeat things deliberately and on my comfort, for example if I check the door twice or three times or even thousands of times, in which I deliberately wanted to and it is absolutely my intention and it does not cause any unwanted distress at all, there is nothing at all.

Basically, you interrupt the thought with something super random, like a pink polka-dot elephant climbing a waterslide with a tomato, then immediately change the task, you have to have the next task thought of beforehand and be aware you're doing a compulsion though.

    Hey, i just realized I have OCD. And it makes me feel so bad, I’m not talking about double checking in the house or being obsessed with cleaning. I usually say to my self if you don’t do that your mom will die or your dog will die if you don’t get up. And it makes me cry. And I usually run up to my mom and cry to her. And whenever she goes out I overthink it by saying “I hope her car wouldn’t crash”or when she goes to the hair salon “I hope there won’t be an shooter there.” 😔 I seriously think this will keep on going every time, until I die. I don’t know if this is OCD but whenever I hear like an sad music it gives me weird vibe/feeling. And I think/dream about my family members and dog dying. 😔🙁 I hope god changes my mind. I wish that every sad things in the world would disappear and i would never have to worry about it ;)

      You are a highly conscientious and loving human. Unfortunately, like myself, OCD loves latching to the fears that go against your core 'wants'/beliefs. Hence, OCD seems to have latched to your love for your family.
      What I can say is that it gets much easier with time. I have Harm OCD, have gotten over it once before.
      The key is to do exposures, so not doing what you feel you NEED to do to stop those things from happening. These are 'compulsions', and when you perform these actions and give into the fear, you are strengthening the neural pathway on your brain that sends the fear response.
      Additionally, leaving yourself with the uncertainty when a thought arises. For me that could be a thought of harming my family. Before, I would try to convince myself that I would never do this - but this is a compulsion. Instead, I say "maybe". Thus, these thoughts have less power, the fear subsides, and over time so do the thoughts.
      Please get help however, as this is a tough road, but with the work, COURAGE and perseverance, you can get past this.

    What's weird is I do things to make sure I'm not what my fears are but I'm not actually thinking like I have to do this or else this... it just happens and then I realize I'm only doing this because of my OCD or something along that line.

      your OCD is always trying to win, is always trying to make you feel even more confused and wants you to belive every single thought that you have. everytime you have a gay thought choose not to respond. let them stay. and they will become less often! you know in your heart whats the truth. attach to it✨ stay strong. we support you

    I agree your approach will work, but I am afraid that what if its real. I mean it is possible to hit someone with your car, and you don't get any points. When it comes to myself possibly getting hurt, I can use your approach, but when it involves others safety, I am afraid what if its real. I need a bit of help as it has been getting out of control.

    • @ImYourNewStep-dad
      @ImYourNewStep-dad 5 месяцев назад

      You could try to say the opposite thing from your intrusice thought; for instance if i get a thought like: 'touch your desk 3 times, otherwise you'II fail a test. You'II have to repeat immediately the opposite in your brain: 'if I touch this desk 3 times I WILL FAIL this test'. That's the first step. Also a good thing is to make a pact with ur brain (cuz OCD is based on pacts); make a pact with your brain, apart of the intrusive thoughts, to understand the meaning of doing certain thing better and say; well if I promise to do this today, will you promise to not ask me this tomorrow.

      For what he says in the video kind of applies. You could just say to your OCD, so what if I was gay? And then when your brain thinks of an answer, just ask yourself, and then what? And then what? And so what would happen then?

    Yeah
    It feels like running in circles
    Like
    Do 10 laps
    Then
    It increases
    20 laps
    Slowly sometimes fast
    then there is ocassional break
    You think its over
    But boom back to running
    Not just slowly
    Sometimes fast like sprinting
    You are tired want to stop
    But there is a like a beast running after you just tighten enough to not eat you until you keep running
    The announcer announces you will be eaten by it if you stop
    And plays a video.on the screen of you being eaten by it
    That he made using CGI
