Great advice. I made my list of what to buy in 2027-2028. It’s a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle. Can’t wait until 2027-2028 to pick it up for nothing……

I remembered when Eric lindros was hyped up just like victor wembanyama . Eric did won one mvp but was no where near Wayne Gretzky.

First off, you can't compare Buy Now prices to auction prices because auction prices depend on the AMOUNT of people biding on a card. Buy Now reflects the pop count, scarcity and player popularity of a card. It's apples to oranges.
    2. How are cards "overpriced" if we're at the bottom??? Your argument defies economic logic.
    3. The sports card market and other speculative investment spaces reflects the economy that we're in. We're in the middle of inflation and poor economic stability at this moment.... if the economy improves, I can see the sports card market improving as well.

Ii set up at card shows twice a month and make a minimum $1k profit every time. I also sell on Ebay and make money. How could I make money if the card market is at the bottom - I would have lost money on every card I sell. This guy is out of his mind.

Great video. This is the one that people need to watch. All these influencers and other people posting all these videos about making deals at shows are just the same shiny "case hit" cards getting passed back and forth between each other. These people know nearly nothing about cards back more than a few years. No one will give a crap about some Jaylen Waddle kaboom that's getting passed around for hundreds of dollars now, in a few years.

I understand what you're saying, but should we really be comparing a "Buy It Now" price to an auction price? Can the value of a card be said to be determined by supply and demand? Thanks for all the information.

Probably should have used some modern cards for your market update. Eye appeal in vintage is a large part of the value in older stuff. A PSA 2 could have more vibrant colors than the competing 3 and thus sell for more.

I was only born in 97 but still! Even as a kid growing up with not much internet until maybe 15-16 we used to play road hockey until the street lights came on 😂 I haven’t seen a group of kids playing outside or playing sports (not counting league play that there dad put them in) in way to long 😅

Really enjoy the content. You truely are offering the card community something positive. God forbid, you can actually feel your not trying to take financial gain of a viewer... Bravo.. Keep on educating the younger generation. The coming crash will be far more volatile than anything in the 90s. It will do my heart good to see the cringe personality types slink away..

Hi Doc, Another Quality PRO-duction. Just kinda of a recent transaction to confirm/back up what your saying. Trying to get a 1960 Topps Yankees team set in mid grade. Got a1960 Topps Elston Howard psa 4.5 for 8.08$, on 12/20 it sold for 18.90. That`s about a 57% decrease I think. Im mostly a collector. Is this an example of your point on patience ? Thank You.

I hope prices keep coming down. The people buying for profit are the ones destroying collecting. I collect for the enjoyment and hobby. So yes I hope it crashes. Also grading has been corrupted, so that's an issue for me as well.

Let's be clear. Almost all your takes are speculation. And I highly disagree on many points. Very judgemental. Have fun waiting until 2027. I'm going to be very smart and active and continue to grow a collection.

Thank you. I listend to about 500 videos on cards and just a few (none) taked about the fact that the modern hobby = gambling. Kids who enters "the hobby" enters un world of gambling.

Thanks for your view. Which some makes sense and some dont. The sportscards market and hobby is going pretty stable and its getting more stronger with new people being interested and being cautious and careful what they want to buy or sell. A lot of these people are more patient and smarter than what you are saying. There just being quiet and humble without being any wiser that the next person trying to sell or buy. Sportscards is going good. If you say the sportscards market is going down so is gold and silver right???? Cmon now, look at the convention and nationals and amazon and ebay are still strong. Research your studies more please. Your so negative and grow up

Great video. The demand side of this market dried up: boomers who drove vintage prices are not accumulating “stuff” anymore, no more “free” money from C-19 that drove the frenzy a few years ago, Millennials prefer to spend discretionary income on experiences and not things like collections, and as you said last week, the kids today have zero interest in sports cards. There will be no price support at any level for this stuff, just a long slow bleed.
