Bachmann when they see Stepney: 😟 Bachmann when they see a random character that has 5 minutes of screen time and does basically nothing and is never seen again: 😳
I would know! As I have own it. 😏 It’s just that Stepney (as well as diesel 10) are heavily requested by fans, both have reasons to avoid being made, but I don’t think any soul wanted beau
@@ScarfNJamsupposedly the reason D10 won’t be made is because his claw would make him too tall, which is suspect considering container cars are taller than he’d be. Stepney? Well he’s simply not “current” enough
Honestly, looking at it from a business perspective, it makes perfect sense why they decided to make Beau. They already have an abundance of different 4-4-0 toolings, and here is this obscure CG series character that fits the bill perfectly. It’s a very cheap and easy way for Bachmann to get some more money off the license and you can hardly blame em for taking that route with that in mind. It was also the fact that the tooling already existed why they didn’t add the buffers up front. Personally, I think that’s for the better. He looks way better without the buffers and it just makes him look more American.
SIDE NOTE: as for Beau’s good pulling power, that’s probably because of his fitted traction tires. That’s standard on all Bachmann 4-4-0s given their lightweight
Hank & Connor could be next (just pure speculation and waiting for the timing of that announcement when it comes) based off of the fact that Bachmann has the tooling for them
I can also see lots of people being it for being an american thomas character, it is indeed a great business decision. I also liked him better without the buffers, he does look more american

@@rodimussupreme2329it’s lazy but it works, Beau is literally just an American 4-4-0, why would they make a new tooling when they already have a new one at their disposal. The eye mechs always look odd anyway, and bump up the prices more than they need to be.
@rodimussupreme2329 I love the model they reused anyway so, I'm probably a little biased tbh. As for the lack of moving eyes, I feel like this model is too small for that anyway. Besides, they're no real loss tbh
