Have not heard this version before and I love it! I have the cassette of the live show which is my favorite performance of it.. his voice is so amazing!, this is what killing a performance sounds like!
My fav song when I listened to this album endlessly in the 80's. The album plays great straight through, I wish someone would post the studio version! Thanks for this post.
If you want to hear two great live versions of Tempted and By Your SIde, you can find them on 1985's Heartbreaking World UK 10" single. The bass solo on By Your Side is simply amazing.
Great version this, much better than the Cosi fan tuti-frutti version, which sounds far too electronic and "mid 80s". A real showcase for Keith The Round and a bout live version is great too
Keith’s bass sounds FANTASTIC!!

He's making love with that bass
Ah. The 80's. A pur revolution in music. Class of 84. Thank you so much!

love this song, reminds me of muffin bunz:-)
Best band EVER and Tilbrook/Difford are the equivalent of Lennon/McCartney, Rogers/Hammerstein, etc.
Great tune.
At the risk of getting empty ale glasses thrown at me.......does his voice sound a little like an early Boy George here??
he was around for the play album in 91 but was replaced by pete thomas in 93 for the some fantastic place album
The live versions of this are far superior to the album version. There's a 12 inch single that has a killer live version of this on the B side
Agreed.
Lovin' this!!!! What is this performance from on MTV? Special showing of Squeez?
Can someone please send me an e-mail with the mp3 of this song? I can't get it anywhere...
What email address should I send it to?
Sorry. I meant to say pure. But i guess you knew that already.
I respect every bass player they have had. But why does Keith Wilkinson get such a bad rap? There can be no question but that he has the chops.
