CONTACT THE PUBLISHER!! Dan, I STRONGLY encourage you to contact the publishers of the magazine and see if you can get an original copy of the photo. These photos are more often than not archived in magazine and newspaper's vaults and can be had for the asking or for a small fee. Moreover, ALL photos taken by a photographer, to include those not selected for publication, may be available. You may discover that photographs of the entire chateau are available.
Maybe one of the million eye-balls could do it for him? He's up to his own eye balls in arch building and floor installations. Surely someone that watches ETRF has the chops to do as you suggest and run down a better copy or more photos?
The magazine may have the notes from the writer of the article. If anyone knows anyone from MATCH, they can also help. The rebuilding of the chateaus, in itself, is worth an updated story in the present.
Number one here bemoaning the fact Orange Pants Man has had to go home, but happy that the three Chateauteers are continuing on! Awesome work guys. Happy Monday
He went home??? Ok, that sucks, but it's probably better for my blood pressure. He definitely raised it! Still, the chateau is the important thing here.
How wonderful to now have interior pictures of the Chateau that can be used to re-create moldings, et al. Your fans really care about your restoration, Dan. We love watching the progress!
Such wonderful progress, Danling. It's a wonder to see. I want to know more about the Dolman you took Stephanie to see on your hair-raising motorcycle ride out there! Could you please give a location reference and perhaps a name? It's so very exciting and interesting. Are you having bad allergies out there? It seems like your face is a bit puffy, the last few times I've watched your program.Mine gets that way with allergies too. Be well, safe, healthy and happy, Danling! 🙏🏻🌷⚜️💗⚜️🌷🙏🏻
Fascinating look at the past owner of the Chateau. It was a beautiful room then and with the hard work Dan and crew are doing, I am sure that it will be again.
Oh man so you lost Calvin today, but what a joy it's been having him there helping move the Chateau forward! Thank you Calvin for jumping in and helping Dan! Dan you still have two men helping you and that's so much better than doing it by yourself! Love the progress taking place and can't wait until the finale!
I was sad to see it go. Lol. It would have made an amazing outdoor space. I don't recall any plans of Dan making a rooftop space which would be amazing with all of those beautiful views.
How wonderful to receive that magazine and also to see how the room was decorated. The fireplace had a beautiful mantle. Safe journey home Calvin! See you Tomorrow!
It takes a big heart to give away a magazine that one has squirrelled away for decades. Thank you mystery donor, you don't just share with Dan, you share with the rest of us too 👍
Yes, I am very pleased to see more effort on safety overall. Gloves, rubbish chute, temporary stairs. It's taken a year but they are at last realising the benefits of some temporary works and basic site safety
Omg, that is such an amazing insight into yesteryear at the chateau. Sorry Calvin has had to go home, but Nick and Brian will see us through, obs you too but you are part of the package, your not going anywhere ❤
What a wonderful piece of history being sent to you Dan about the prior owners . Nice job of showing the pic on place where the room was. Got so much accomplished with four of you and Calvin will be back when he can to help again, I’m sure. Brian, Nick and you will get a lot done too. Well done to all of you. ❤
This is like a band of brothers, the loss of Calvin (OP Man )breaks so many hearts but most of all Dan's. Loving this group of extraordinary craftsman and professionals...and sky gardeners
So grateful you have a friend like Calvin to help you out. And we cannot wait for his return. But now it's Brian the Gardener and Nick in logistics snd Dan the Brickmason for the win; we cannot wait to see what's next! Chapeau to you all!!! 🎉🎉🎉
WOW, just wow on that magazine and comparative photos of then and now! How fortunate that this was sent in to you. Thank you for sharing this history, it is very interesting and makes the restoration story that much more interesting!
It's always a thrill when you are able to show old photographs of the rooms before the fire., then overlay them to show your progress. Onward and upward!

Dan, Thanks for sharing a part of you with all of us. and thank you for the all the hard work you put into making the videos and making us a part of this awesome experience. Thank you again.

How very thoughtful was the person who gifted you with the very pertinent Paris Match article. Preserve it all costs!! Everything is looking so grand! What a great group of friends to help you and the doggies. Lucky you! Best wishes from the Pacific NW.
It won't be long until you can do a fade of the room from the Paris Match photo, to the burned out room, to the fully restored room. I can't wait to see it!
Wow Dan, when you get little bits of history like the magazine you must find it quite moving, because I only follow you and I certainly did. Your story is so great to share , Thankyou 🤗
The magazine and the photographs of the owner inside the room were so exciting. The salon looks beautiful and better than I imagined. I'm sure someone can steer him to subscribe to your channel, I'm sure he'd love to see what you've done.🇬🇧

Thank you, Calvin! Was great seeing you helping Dan again!! You will be missed until next time. What a Dream Team you All make !!! So much has been accomplished! Team Dan will continue... Loving this channel ❤️ ♥️
This was a wonderful episode. Please never stop this. Once the Chateau is completed you make a pause and start a new project. Even bigger. More people. No limits. You can do it. I'm sure.
Very cool! I would love to see you and your helpers celebrating your accomplishments in the completed sections of the home ... I can imagine wine and candle light at night would make the house come alive.

So sorry you lost your "hanging gardens" Dan!🤣Also would like to give a shout out to some amazing friends you have Dan, what a dream team you all are! I'll see you tomorrow!
I watched it at least twice because I found it kind of terrifying. Weren't they walking back and forth under that doorway all the time these past few weeks? And all it took for those bricks to come tumbling down was just a shove with one end of a 2 by 4? Yikes!
Congratulations on the work you are doing. We are thoroughly enjoying each episode. Dan, you and your team are fantastic. Thanks Gary & Rose. Australia.

@@joannegreig9231 I bet they do...will look into it.
Looking forward to your “arches”, Dan! 😁
Fantastic find with the magazine. Well done the person who sent it in!
So good to see perfect strangers supporting your work!
Now the rooms have a template for Dan moving forward. The room in the photo looked beautiful
Name the restored room "No. 5."
That magazine was a neat find.
Thoughtful gesture from a special person who mailed you this fabulous magazine ❤
Shout Out to the viewer that sent the magazine in! Every time we get a glimpse of what the Chateau used to look like I am amazed.
Love Brian, every tree he removes, he says 'can we plant this.?'
Oh, that fade in and out of today and the magazine was nicely done.
Agree very cool way of sharing the before and now.
Agree. Would love to see more of that in every part of the chateau.
so good!
How wonderful to receive that magazine. Thank you to whoever sent it to Dan. The more historical information he can get, the better ❤
But... but....i don't want orange pants to leave..... Come back.... Come back 😢❤
My eyes dilate in a Pavlovian response to the sight of orange pants. 😍
A wee tear
No worries, someone else can wear the pants.
He did send out Instagram post.....but I can't find it!! Looking for it

I have been waiting a long time to see the last of the trees and bushes come down. Wow, what an accomplishment you guys have achieved.

There are/were plants growing on one of the fireplace mantles.
