Is there an American folk musician under the sun who doesn't know some version of "Down in the Willow Garden"? Pretty sure this one is Murder Ballad #1! I pulled inspiration from versions by Lankum, Nora Brown, and Tim O'Brien & Paul Brady. They're all my favorites, so I combined a bit from each one.

Excellent! Isnt it ironic how music evolves and changes? With some pinned as having a awful message, such as, rock, metal, even rap, but then we go back hundreds of years and realize, a ton of these old beautiful haunting songs were about death and murder. Usually over heartache. Just proves, there is nothing new under the sun. Thank you for such a perfect rendition this morning! Beautiful guitar, voice as always, (and legs). 😉. Lol. Seriously, thank you for keeping these gems alive.....
