This, folks, is REAL talent….and lots of it. No processed, canned, modified, auto-tune garbage. Just real, raw talent that is worth the price of admission. Love the lady’s music.
I'm originally from Atlanta, long ago and far away, and was a (very) local musician back when dinosaurs still roamed Peachtree creek (if anyone alive still remembers Johnny Hibbert and the Throbs!) I've been in CA for decades but damn ATL is still producing some fine musicians, even if they have to go to Nashville. This is simply hands down the finest duo in music today and it isn't even close. I understand why their albums for release need full production values, but the two of them like this are at their purest. It is not just their astounding technical prowess, above all, they are musical in the best and deepest sense. This is music distilled to its essence. May they play on and on and on.
Oh my. Just added another new sound system. I just dont know what else i can say. All the adjectives are burnt. Um,just bumped y'all up to #2,only behind having a smoke with Willie. Your music,tunes,lyrics,interactions-GOLDEN. Thank y'all.
They have Roots in acoustical Lovell blue grass family . These are the too that wouldn't quit when the lovell family band broke up . God love these too Rebecka and Megan slide queen of the world 🌎 Hopping on or two of the Red Head Express does that, too ! 6:22
Their very first EPs (the Seasons) were pretty much all acoustic, with Rebecca playing mandolin exclusively. Fun to re-listen and remind myself how truly incredible she is on the mando, as well as her amazing song-writing.
I have been a big fan for several years, but I am just blown away at the growth and fresh ideas in your playing, singing, harmony, etc. this is phenomenal!
Well, bless my soul, I think I'm undone! My eyes are sweating, and my heart is bursting! This band is the best! No other band moves me the way they do! I'm Jonesin' for more (it's been over a year since I saw LP live) and if it weren't for RUclips, I don't know what I'd do! Love these acoustic sets so much! Merle Fest must be an awesome time! Thanks for posting this, Jimmie!
The diversity of performance that Larkin Poe personifies is just one of the reasons I love them so very much! Everything they do just blows me away. 🎶♥🎶
I almost think i like them better when they were a string band. Either way, they're on my bucket list--they're playing near Chicago in June...i plan to be there.
I'm huge Larkin Poe fan I can't believe how good they are i swear every time I watch them they get better they're such a talent 😢 in my eye watch this performance it's just so good
Amazed that folks don't know their (LP's) history. They're great at what they're doing now, but my favorite stuff so far everything b4 they went more electric blues. The Lovell Sisters through Kin/Reskinned...stellar stuff.
Love the smile on Megan’s face when she realizes Reb’s is completely off the rails on the lyrics in the first verse of Southern Comfort. Still, they rolled through it
I was late to the game discovering Larkin Poe (better late than never), only found out about them a few weeks ago. Since then, the vast majority of what I've been listening to is Larkin Poe and The Warning. Two wildly different genres, but both fronted by ladies that put their hearts and souls into the music, no autotune crap or over-production. Funny thing is, I learned about Larkin Poe from a suggestion in the comment section of one of The Warning's videos! Someone else out there has listening preferences as crazy wide as me!
They started out with bluegrass and played it for a number of years. They are so talented they could do a whole show of just bluegrass. I wouldn't be surprised if they did.
@1thomson - sorry, I just lost what I wrote about a pedal steel instrument. It is not acoustic, it needs too be amplified. When I have some patience again, I'll explain later...
@@1thomson - a pedal steel is played with a heavy bar, like a slide. I'm sure you're familiar with that Hawaiian influenced/country sound. It's portable but heavy. With the legs attached it sits upright. The player sits with knees underneath, that move levers sideways to further stretch the strings; as well as pedals on the floor. Once you hear that sound, you'll be able to relate. Mabey try a search on, 'pedal steel instrument' - I'm sorry but I can't think of anything - There is a player who put a book out on the instrument. If I find name/link, I'll send it
Such great stage presence and energy. Truly charming women. Such talent! Heaven would be to wake up and hear them both sing me into a great morning. I'd become Mormen to marry both of them.🌹

Larkin Poe should really do an acoustic album.
They did, "Kindred Spirits" and "An Acoustic Compilation EP".
at a time when it is desperately needed Larkin Poe makes me hopeful for the future

Great music played by one of my favourite bands. I like the acoustic natural sound.

Oh my goodness! Unbelievable. Kik um.
The sistas superpowers have grown immensely since the inception of Larkin Poe. Pretty cool thing to witness.
Just cross the pond and head for Glastonbury please.
Flat OUT!
Would love to see a whole tour acoustic bluegrass and folk.
If Janis Joplin were still with us...she would cover Might As Well Be Me!!!❤ #FeedMyLarkinPoeHunger
Ok... Is Rebecca the top vocalist in the blues rock genre since Janis?
You won't have those flat bellies when you are 40 ! Love your music!
So how come Taylor Swift is very often all youngsters have been conditioned to ?
Screaming.
missing a fiddle, mabey a banjo, what the heck; a pedal steel
Is a pedal steel acoustic? At least, Meagan is playing a dobro sideways!
@1thomson - sorry, I just lost what I wrote about a pedal steel instrument. It is not acoustic, it needs too be amplified. When I have some patience again, I'll explain later...
They used to have a fiddle - their older sister Jessica. They were the Lovell Sisters.
And didgeridoo....I mbiased

After 10
mins it all sounds the same. And the Yanni smiles? Wtf I don't get it. Grammy belongs to Jacob Collier.
Pretty Girls, Good School! Quite boring for Bass player, but hope he`d got enough money :)
When You performencing my birds singing with You...Fine!!...
