Hi, thanks for this excellent video but I have a question for you: why haven't you changed to CMYK in Photoshop? like you did in Canva?. Thanks in advance
Than you for this detailed video. You answered questions that I had. I am very new to this and do not have photoshop. Is there a work around and/or other software that can be used?
Very nice video, some sound effects are a little bit annoying but thats my humble opinion! Two questions please, when you save the PDF print file on Canvas, how do you convert it to PNG/JPG? Do you have to go online and do it? And if you convert it, will it loose its DPI? And the second question is, on 16:22 of the video why didn't you choose the CMYK for the colour and you left the RGB option when you tried to create a new design?
Answer 1 - When you save PDF, You also have the option to save PNG/JPG. So you can save the same file into multiple format, it will retain the quality. No need to use any third party app. Answer 2 - Yeah, I should have selected CMYK, nice catch. P.S. on the sound effects, do you feel the same on our recent video ? We are improving our video production to serve you all better. All feedback are appreciated
Question about using Canva to output 300 DPI. I've found if you use jpg or png that you can run the slider all the way to the right to get 300 DPI. What's the difference in doing this vs. exporting as .pdf for print? Also, when you choose .pdf for print, how do you then get your image out of the .pdf for POD sites that may not allow you to upload a .pdf file to be printed?
Yes you can drag the slider to get 300dpi. But it's advisable to use pdf print because it's a type of lossless file format as sites won't temper with quality when uploaded unlike JPG or PNG. Also it's important to sell your arts on Etsy in pdf file format. If you wish to save a pdf file as JPG, you can use the Adobe Photoshop to do that. Just open the pdf file in Photoshop and save it as JPG or PNG. Alternatively, you can use an online search pdf file converter to do that. Thanks for the questions.
Where abouts can i find the information once resized from canva to PDF print and CMYK for the DPI details etc? Also what is best to advertise on etsy since its not a JPEG which everyone is familiar with? Thanks :)
Thanks for the question. On Canva, there's no actual way to increase your DPI when you resize your image, however, to get the best print quality, when you are done with your design. Click share in the top right corner, there you can select specific details like RGB or CMYK, and there you can choose the best printing options. For the best print quality art save the work with pdf print rather the the other options given. And set the color mode to CMYK. For the second question yu asked, it's best to sell your print on demand wall art in Pdf.
I have a LOT of posters designed in CMYK colours, and I get floods of requests to convert to RGB for their printing service. If I convert from CMYK to RGB for digital purchases, colours will be accurate as designed yes?
They will be color changes when you Convert CMYK to RGB. RGB has more colors to it than CMYK does, so you might notice darker or dull colors on your converted designs
Hi, please i have a question. may i know why when i converted my image from PDF to jpg there was a white line around the image? and thank you for this amazing video
If you are using a mac. It adds white border around the jpeg preview. However there isn’t a white border in actual image. To confirm just double click and open the preview in full screen
thank you for this amazing video. Please, just a question. can you just tell me if I am doing my images right? I uploaded my images into Canva, then I did the ratio size, then I went to a website called pdf to jpg, in this website i chose 300 dpi. That is it. I am really confused about doing the pixel on Photoshop, is my way still correct? or do my images look blurry ??
@@BulkMockup but on Canva they do not have 300 dpi . if i did your idea and downloaded them as a jpg from Canva, do the images still have a high-quality resolution?
@@mohammadabuabduon7368 High-resolution files are only necessary when printing. On a computer screen, both 72 dpi and 300 dpi will appear identical in quality. I suggest downloading both formats: send the PDF to your customer for printing and use the JPEG for mockup purposes. P.S. You can batch convert PDF files to JPEG in Photoshop, and the resulting JPEGs will be high quality.
So I have followed the same pixel sizes for my digital designs which I am planning to sell on Etsy, but the DPI is automatically showing 700DPI. Would it be a problem for all the different ratios/sizes with same DPI (700)? Or should I lower the DPI for any of the image ratios/sizes to 300DPI? Please Help! Thanks!

Hello thanks for the video! What if I have pictures of 500 dpi, is it too much and should I make 300 instead?
500 dpi is fine. No need to make 300 dpi

You can download the jpg from canva itself, you do not need to go to pdf to jpg website
