I sell digital art on Etsy and create 6 different jpg files for every image (I offer 6 aspect ratios: 2:3; 3:4; 4:5; 5:7; 11:14 and square), each one with the correct dimensions and with a DPI of 300. I save the jpgs to my google drive, and when someone purchases an image they only get a pdf file with the link to that google drive file where they can choose the aspect they want and download that.

Since I resize and create ratios to make the 5 PDF formats for selling on Etsy using Canva (I don't think Kittl has this functionality), would you recommend creating images on Kittl in pixels or inches? Additionally, when uploading them to Canva, is it better to download them from Kittl in PNG or JPG format? Or do you know of any other methods? Perhaps these are silly questions, but I'm not a graphic designer and I have some difficulties... I totally understand! I went to school for graphic design and learned Photoshop and Illustrator, which I used for years before jumping into AI. I've decided to embrace both! AI and images I create from scratch :) Only because I believe AI won't be going away any time soon. Hope that offers some insight. But I get your frustration! :)
Original non-Ai created artwork is always going to have a place in the commercial art world, Ai art may well be the latest shiny new tech toy but can never replace the tangible, brush strokes and feel of a genuine artwork produced by an actual artist. @@pen-and_paper It depends on the prompt I guess. Some art you can clearly tell it is made by AI. Lack of perspective and depth, flat camera angle, don't know where the light source is, certain parts that blend in with other parts, etc. When one of these things is very noticeable it's made by AI. But if the prompt is good, it appears that it is not as noticeable. Apparently on Etsy you can sell AI art as long as you mention it's made by AI, which is good because that's what I'm doing.

Would you create a separate file for each size of digital print, So 1 A4 Jpg or an A2 jpg etc. and if the initial image is a low res AI download does putting it into kettle at various sizes then saving it as A2, for example not just keep the low res original? Or should we save the original low res at 300 dpi first then re upload and do different sizes?? Sure that doesn't make sense!!! Any help appreciated
are the images that are created on Kittl upscaled or are they generated at that size by the AI. Most AI generated art is generally 1024 x 1024. Any higher and there it is mess, especially with people and hands.

I'm finding its not what you're selling, but how to get seen and ranked. I have digital downloads with better asthetics and quailty than others on Etsy and been open since early spring with only 15 sales. Similar shops are generating daily sales...they're also slightly more expensive. Which is why I think the ranking has everything to do with being successful, not what you're actually selling.

I tried using kittl, every generated image has something from with it. A dog with 4 ears, one with 6 legs 2 of which were under the couch the dog was on.. all simple prompts labrador with candy cane in mouch wearing santa hat… 4 ears and no candy cane in sight….

For images, is it one credit/AI generation, or one credit/downloaded image? Sandra-I LOVE your tutorials and considering digital products. But can we make one listing design…almost like a group listing in apparel for a T-shirt or sweat shirt or blankets fleece or Sherpa…where the customer can see the ONE print, but has choice of digital, poster/canvas and maybe even framed option…under one listing…Maybe that’s too much, but I fear if they like the printed version, but they want it only digital or maybe canvas that they don’t know I have it in all options-but it is in a separate listing and I lose the order bc they don’t know to go to the shop and they just move on. Surely these are copyrighted? I’ve tried to research on it and maybe some are no longer. For Picasso he only died in 1973 so they should be copyrighted until 2044 under Europe’s 70-year rule..yet there are probably hundreds of Picasso wall art listings on Etsy. Just wanted to say that you are not alone in this feeling. This was/has been my hesitation as well. I am barely making ends meet and it's daunting to take chances. I also was apprehensive given the saturated markets as well but it seems others are still being successful - guess without trying we will never know eh?
I completely understand your hesitation and I was in the same boat! It's important to come up with a business plan and decide what you want to sell and how you want your business to look before investing in the tools you need. Otherwise you will spend money on many platforms that you don't actually need based on your goals, but investment is 100% necessary in my opinion to start any profitable business :) just gotta be strategic!
Hi there! In Canva, you can place your art image on the artboard, select it and then go to "Edit Image" and select the one you want under "Smart Mockups". I hope that helps!
For large files we have dropbox option but then how does the printify integration works? customers won't have a smooth ride...if you could plz explain...Also if i have a very large file, am i able to upload it in kittl, make it 300 DPI and make the size less than 20mb?

Yes absolutely you should include that in your description to be fully transparent with the customer :)

I tried using kittl, every generated image has something from with it. A dog with 4 ears, one with 6 legs 2 of which were under the couch the dog was on.. all simple prompts labrador with candy cane in mouch wearing santa hat… 4 ears and no candy cane in sight….

Thanks for such terrific information, Sandra! Regarding the Kittl AI credits, how do they work? The Pro plan has 100 monthly credits. For images, is it one credit/AI generation, or one credit/downloaded image? If it's one/generation, I can see those credits disappearing very quickly depending on how many times you need to regenerate to get the image you want. Thanks for any info you can give!

Sandra-I LOVE your tutorials and considering digital products. But can we make one listing design…almost like a group listing in apparel for a T-shirt or sweat shirt or blankets fleece or Sherpa…where the customer can see the ONE print, but has choice of digital, poster/canvas and maybe even framed option…under one listing…Maybe that’s too much, but I fear if they like the printed version, but they want it only digital or maybe canvas that they don’t know I have it in all options-but it is in a separate listing and I lose the order bc they don’t know to go to the shop and they just move on. I hope that makes sense. Ty so much
Hi Sandra, I’m Sandra too! Great name ;) I have a question about public domain/copyright. Im surprised so many shops sell copies of Picasso and Matisse art work for example. Surely these are copyrighted? I’ve tried to research on it and maybe some are no longer. For Picasso he only died in 1973 so they should be copyrighted until 2044 under Europe’s 70-year rule..yet there are probably hundreds of Picasso wall art listings on Etsy. Can you shed some light on this? I would be so grateful and thanks for your informative videos, straight to the point without fluff. Perfect!

This is so helpful. I’m curious to know if all the platforms you’re required to use are offset by the final sale of the digital or physical products. It seems just a little intimidating to try this out only to find I may not be successful. Then I’m stuck with all the subscriptions for AI, Kittl, etc. I’d love to see a cost breakdown of the platforms you use and then a month of sales. Love your videos!
Just wanted to say that you are not alone in this feeling. This was/has been my hesitation as well. I am barely making ends meet and it's daunting to take chances. I also was apprehensive given the saturated markets as well but it seems others are still being successful - guess without trying we will never know eh?
I completely understand your hesitation and I was in the same boat! It's important to come up with a business plan and decide what you want to sell and how you want your business to look before investing in the tools you need. Otherwise you will spend money on many platforms that you don't actually need based on your goals, but investment is 100% necessary in my opinion to start any profitable business :) just gotta be strategic!
