Watching this video reminded me how unique the channel is that Vinny & his mods are able to crowdsource so many aspects that improve the overall stream quality. It's not an easy thing to accomplish with how troubled our world is, so it's rare.
This is a nice demonstration of what World of Horror is capable of. It might have a bare-bones story, but it's a system that can be infinitely extended with new event cards.
Meanwhile, the calcinite in X-Com Terror From The Deep is a woefully inept melee-only enemy that you'll probably take down before it gets anywhere near you.
Though to be fair, in X-Com, your characters are well-trained military specialists trained to fight aliens. In WoH, you are typically playing as high school students.
I'm not going to lie, some of the other tracks absolultey fucked. It was just the Arcade scenario's music that was sub-par. The other two scenarios had some tunes though.
@@Vaguer_Weevil It's the sound of that low/buzzing synth that's the problem, I think. It's grating/overbearing and overlaps too much. Doesn't help that it's the only one in the track. I've messed around a bit with 8bit/chiptune music making and it surprised me how easy it is to make it sound really obnoxious. Getting those synths to produce sounds that are pleasant to listen to is a skill i have a lot of respect for.
Yeah, that was a bit much. The base game has a ghost boss too, but it only has 22hp and 2 reason damage. Though, on the flip side, you could totally cheese the 33hp ghost by leaving that mystery till last, finding a much weaker ghost enemy earlier in the run and using it to learn the correct exorcism combo. The exorcism combo stays the same for the entire run, so you'd guaranteed win the fight on the first turn (you still take damage 1 time though due to how it works)
A ghost with massive hp at least means the ritual is worth learning and using. The real problem is that it deals 4 fucking damage. Even coming in at full STA, that's like a 4-turn timer

How is nobody telling Vinny that he can use the defense action "Prepare For Impact" to cap incoming damage to 1 point? The fight 1:21:02 could've been won and some of the ones before would've resulted in less taken damage. Atleast if the ability didn't got changed.

It says only 1 out of the 5 claps was correct, not the other way around. Still, the clap in the final attempt was in the wrong spot; it had to be in one of the 3 spots that was clap in the first attempt for a 1/3 chance of success.
Should have given Vinny one of the "SPEEEN" voice lines for the character selections, or "grapple the leaper" :) 1:00:22 you should convince Pandoea Music to bring back that album, cause apparently that whole album has been taken off, as well as other songs/albums from other artists...
