For anybody that's curious, Panstasz, the dev of World of Horror, is *not* gone or abandoned the game etc. I don't know what he's been going through this past year, obviously everybody has had a lot of stuff on their plate, but he just a couple weeks ago tweeted for the first time in almost a year that there's "good news" coming for the game, along with some screenshots. I personally thought he abandoned ship after being hit with the legal debacle over Ito and Lovecraft inspired monsters/characters/stories in the game. I was very glad to see him alive and well.
The love-hate relationship you had with Serana in your Skyrim for Switch playthrough was one of my favourite things about it and it's hilarious to see it pop up again here.
FYI That combination, Aiko + steak knife + fast swimmer perk, is the singular best build in the game. No other character/build even comes close. It definitely needs rebalancing, effortlessly winning every single combat breaks the game.
Who would win: otherwordly paranormal beings of unfathomable arcane and eldritch power? Or a teenager with a knife who can stab really fast? The answer may surprise you!

I was just re watching the past parts in the series, between this and Silent Hill 3 all the Vinesauce Halloween is back in full force. The OST for this game is sick.
I had never noticed it before but this game uses that one sound effect from when you encounter Jason in the NES Friday the 13th. I love the Vinesauce events still, I think the Serana encounter was my favorite. She WOULD perform a ritual just like that.
I'd go for the spider god since I don't run from combat, but I always get the spider bite and it's difficult to deal with. As they say, spiduh bite hurt
I really hope we at least get 2 recent parts to this! Granted, I guess the game sort of goes through the same kind of scenario a lot, so as a content creator Vinny's probably aware of how stagnant it could get to watch through.
It pains me to see Vinny not take a warm bath in the beginning (+5exp) and to buy the compass and forget to equip it, this not receiving the +2exp per location visited.
BTW, Vinny never remembered that you can rest mid-investigation by clicking the house icon at the top of the locations section, and that's what the hot bath perk improves
There is a bit of comfort in horror media, it helps place into perspective how relatively safe reality is. It’s like listening to campfire stories while roasting marshmallows, everyone knows the stories are fictional, so it’s just fun to indulge in the fiction.

Vinny using that Streamer Magic to give me exactly the video I've been wanting again! I just watched Wayneradiotv play World of Horror but of course, being Wayne, he only played it once even though he said he wanted to play it again (or at least there's only one video of it on RUclips, I know some of his stuff is lost in the Twitch void). Then in the recommendations of that video I saw "World of Horror but the most horrifying thing is the random mods I installed" and I went into it expecting something funny but it was all entirely serious mods. Kind of cool but I wanted something more creative than just "more spooky things can happen than usual" plus I think there weren't even any modded enemy encounters. SO I was sorely in need of a WoH playthrough with funny mods again after all the JermaDumptrucks and Meats of the last episode of this series, and suddenly a few days later here it is and I got to see the "Vampire Princess" battle and I'm happy with life.
In case you missed what Vinny said, the developer confirmed an update will be coming soon. Gonna be about a year since the last one and very excited for it.
