I understand everyone will want to support them because of the war. But hands down these are just the coolest guys on stage compared to the other countries ..their rapping ..their singing..their dancing...their production...and it's refreshing that it includes more traditional music from their region which is what Eurovision should be all about

they were one of the favorites even before the war started. The song itselfs is great and the stage performace that night was amazing...hearing this after all the sad slow ballads this year made them well deserved winners ! Well deserved, they were original and fantastic

You mean kicked as the main theme of the song is that he kicked (literally) his mother Stefania during the whole youth and then he is thankful for her efforts when he became older? Some flowers bloom late....some actually still. He might bloom that park one day, he didn't bloom that evening of Eurovision

I cought the song midway and it clicked instantly. I liked the great blend of old and new, traditional and modern, the change of beat, the emotion conveyed... Then I realized it was from Ukraine. Well done, guys! Totally deserved it, my 1st choice from the start.
I don’t know how to describe what I am feeling while watching this … I am afraid to say anything to be honest because I grew up with the stories of my grandfather whom was taken as a prisoner of war by the Russians in WW2. All his life he talked only about war … he was 20 when he was forced to enroll, he just got married to my grandmother and he was taken away right after that and he came back home after 7 years to my grandmother whom waited for him even though she didn’t know if he was still alive or not.
He died 2 years ago at the age of 98. I couldn’t attend the funeral because of the Pandemic but watched it on Zoom 😐
And now, seeing these young people whom are my age or even younger talking about enrollment and fighting for their country … in 2022????!!!! I just can’t … if this would have been a movie … but is not …
I can only pray and help with donations and block my thoughts so I can move forward and do daily life and pray again etc.

@@rozakazak2948 decades of corruption and people not being interested into Politics because they are all the same ... not taking the chance to change something when they could. Ukraine started to make a change since 2014, Russian oligarchs didn't like that so they invaded them :| just like in medieval times ... we hade huge marches in Romania few years ago because some corrupt politicians wanted to change the laws in their favor and we were shouting: "in the night like thieves, in daylight like mobs".
Fortunately for us we are part of the European Union and NATO and they could not shut us down. Still a lot needs to change in Romania and it will take a lot of time to get there ...
Ukraine has shown the entire world what it takes to fight for freedom and to not take things for granted.

As much as I find the Eurovision contest ridiculous artistically, I absolutely command this band for wanting to represent their country and bring pride and joy to their people in these dark times. I’m glad that they won, for them and above all for Ukraine. Every little bit of hope helps. Ukraine will be victorious for they’re fighting for the forces of Good against the forces of Evil! 🇺🇦✨

I admit it, a few weeks ago I was one of those who think "ok, this year Ukraine in going to win ESC just because the whole war situation..."
I went and listened to their song and holy sh1t, it's a BOP!! The lyrics, the instruments, the rap, the flow, everything!! I'm obsessed!! They DESERVE to win, not out of sympathy, they deserve it because they are incredibly talented and the song is really good.

No, they will win because of the situation, to prepare their people for the next year separation of their territory, to make them think about the upcoming music festival in their country, instead of separation of their territory. .. . Just like we won in 2007 (Serbia) to prepare us for 2008 separation of Kosovo... We know Marija was good, Kosovo was about to go independent next year.... I don't like rap but this song is just AWESOME! I can't stop listening it. In my Country (USA) we are one with Ukraine. Nowhere at no time in the history of the world, have more courageous and more patriotic Warriors have existed, with the possible exception of the Spartans at Thermopolis. I live in Kryviy Rih, and we are so lucky our military and territory defense fight Russians back, pushed them away from the town. And here we are not occupied and can come on streets without being afraid of kidnapping, repining and killing like in Kyiv region happened. I'm so grateful that we haven't experienced this like others in occupied territories: Kherson (we are the closest city to the border of the Kherson region, now it's occupied) people there coming through the same Buchas everyday. So please don't forget about it. We having these Buchas everywhere where the Russian have put their feets.

It’s the first time, I’ve watch a video where Tymofii is given the chance to speak. It’s always been Kalush speaking during the interviews. It feels refreshing that other members are being recognized as well, especially Tymofii, he’s cute 🥰🥹

Honestly their song last year was so great too and I thought it should have won. It’s very neat how they mixed traditional music styles with rap and beats. Love seeing countries that build on their traditional music styles!
