Like others have said here, I do not speak Ukrainian--only French, German and a tiny bit of Spanish and Italian and Latin--but I enjoy your reporting immensely. Great job, everyone! Slava Ukraine. As a Pole🇵🇱 I’d love to share a hope represented by many of my countrymen, when it comes to relations with Ukraine 🇺🇦 . I think our president said it best: “For so many years a rifle and an axe would be laid on a Polish-Ukrainian table. But now, we put a loaf of bread on that very table. A hand covered a hand of a person in need” Poland’s support for Ukraine is unquestionable and irrevocable. I’m sure that true values will persevere in a fight against evil. I hope that our new relations will have changed the definition of a word “friendship” in international affairs. However, we still need to remember the past. I have to admit that seeing the sculptures of Stepan Bandera in Ukraine still makes me feel uneasy. For so many years Polish and Ukrainian historians fought verbally with one another. Accusations of revisionism, lies, etc. This matter still remains unresolved. But today’s circumstances have indefinitely changed the landscape. There is a real chance of achieving pure peace and friendship between Poland and Ukraine. Please, let’s not waste this brilliant opportunity. Let’s meet once the war is over, talk openly about our feelings towards our problematic past and finally lay the ghosts of yesterday to rest. This could be the only shot we’re ever going to get. We love you, we’ll always be there for you 🇵🇱💕🇺🇦

Russian trolls want to use unsettled matters to stir the anger and resentment between us. I have a dream, that one day a Pole and an Ukrainian will be able to live together in peace without unnecessary Bandera context suggested by alt-right. Once a matter is resolved, people can move on. That’s what I believe in, if someone wants to call me naive, then so be it. You’ll persevere, you’ll be free and we’ll stand with you ❤️
