- When Leonid Pliats and his boss were shot in the back by Russian soldiers, the killing was captured on CCTV cameras in clear and terrible detail.
The footage, which was obtained by the BBC, is now being investigated by Ukrainian prosecutors as a suspected war crime.
"My dad was not a military man... he was a pensioner," Leonid's daughter said.

Russia has shown it is not fit to be part of modern society and the majority of their citizens belong in the 16th century. I agree Sanctions should not be lifted until every war criminal is brought to justice in disgrace, every part of Ukraine is rebuilt and paid for by Russia and their tyrannical leader is deposed and a proper democracy put in place with safeguards to stop this broken people from sliding back to dictatorships that they seem to love so much.

I been 3 days ago in chernihiv as a dutch man who married my wife who is from chernihiv.
I dindt take it very serious and dindt know what to excpect comeing to Ukraine.
But after seeing what happend to my family there i was kinda traumatized. The whole neigbourhood was hit by bombs. And when the explosions from the rockets hit the shattering pieces of glas, stone, metal are more dangerous then bullets. Alot of people got hit or were very lucky all their houses and cars are completly damaged. Some friends losts fathers who went to war.
When you are in the border parts in Ukraine now its impossible to enjoy your "vacation" with out feeling guilty about it.
Also its uncomfortable when the air/sirenens alarm go off.
People please respect and dont say it propoganda i look diffrent after seeing with my own eyes.

I'm Russian. On the Russian website Pikabu, this case was mentioned three months ago, real people died. But there is no evidence that they were Russians, the facial recognition system identified the soldier as a Ukrainian military Кацимон Вадим Васильевич. And also the video is really very strangely edited, there are no shots for example. Camera angles are cropped and there is no full version anywhere, to which there would be no questions. The van on which the soldiers arrived looks very strange - it's stupid to write tank special forces on it, since it can cause a negative attitude of Ukrainians, and there is no such unit in Russia.
In Ukraine, there is a so-called territorial defense - weapons were issued to literally everyone in a row, and many began looting with this. If they were Russians, then the motivation is such that the guard and the store owner called the Ukrainian military and for this they were punished.
