Every play should have the same realistic consistency as the last, who cares how many plays it took for something that shouldn’t happen, happen. It happened! It happens a lot! For YEARS!!!!

Happened to me so many times even on older madden
Scripted plays, picks, fumbles, incompletions, tackles, etc….
Madden always feels like you have no control of your players because the game just plays itself because the ratings and physics don’t mean anything
The other day on madden 20 I ran 4 verts, hot routed 2 players to makes a 1 on 1 matchup on the outside
The defender got burned because they played zone and didn’t run with the go route
I threw the ball 50 yards, at the time I threw it the receiver was so wide open, there wasn’t anyone within 25 yards of him, no pressure at all on the qb
The ball was under thrown by 10 yards, the defender morphed 15 yards and intercepted the pass
I shut the game off immediately

@Enonymous99 Backbreaker is what you need buddy. The ball goes exactly as far it should be thrown according to physics. Defenders get burned/ankles broke by good WRs and don't catch up. Oppositely plays can be broken up by hard tackles upon a caught pass to force a drop.
I wish you would have gotten a clip of that. What the actual F is that? EA should be embarrassed to allow for such foolishness.

But yea, it was beyond ridiculous, my quarterback was 97overall too, it wasn’t like it was some scrub with bad passing stats
This is why I question the maturity of anyone saying you cherry pick or that you find "rare" glitches. Anyone that says that just lacks the maturity of an adult to understand the world around them. Mature adults and real football fans would deem this unacceptable.

I don't even believe there is such a thing as sapien technology. EA made it up because it sounds good and it's similar to the name of an actual tech company. But there is no such technology going on in Madden. It's obvious nothing has really ever changed

Whenever EA makes a change or "improvement" to madden or FIFA, they don't just say "we improved or changed such and such", they introduce it with a special name or tagline to make it seem more than it really is. "Fieldsense", "hypermotion technology", "hit everything", "Sapien technology", "precision passing", etc. They're just marketing buzzwords to deceive people.

Call of duty is the same as madden when it comes to the traditional cod 6v6 multiplayer. Way less than it used to be

I used to play the shit out of Madden on the PS2. I miss when Madden was made with a love of football in mind rather than how much they can nickel and dime players.

Zero footwork, should have never be able to hit with force or impact to knock the ball out.
I've never seen as many drops as this game, it seems like they toned down the superman defenders a bit in exchange for greasing every receivers hands. Defenders can still jump for record setting heights for deflections and no-look deflections and interceptions. Then there's the guaranteed interceptions when throwing under pressure or on the run or mid sack where the qb doesn't just miss a receiver or overthrow them but throws a dime to a stationary safety. Offensive linemen have never been worse at blocking, I've seen them seeming throw defenders into the pocket and shove defenders into running lanes. Then you play on defense and somehow the opposing offensive line can perfectly block a 6+ man rush as long as it's a running play. No user defender (not controlled but on the side of a user) is capable of any amount of coverage unless sliders are maxed out. I'm talking corners just standing still not reacting to passes *at all*. They won't attempt to turn their head or play for the ball or put an arm up, let alone matching even backup receivers on routes. Simmed games and plays are completely unrealistic, see elite qbs go for sub 60% and 200 yards with 2+ picks because I guess the team just forgot how to play offense without my garbage play calls. Visually this game is almost exactly the same as the last game, but it certainly plays different even if it's not a good difference. The menus have never been slower, even on a series x, it's not helped by many menus sending you back to the franchise screen when you've taken one action, leaving you to spend another eon waiting to get back to whatever you were doing. Corners can still do the hokey pokey all the way down the field while your receiver sprints into them for the entirety of the play instead of doing anything to get around them or break on routes. Which brings me to another point in that defenders are apparently the ONLY players capable of making a play on a thrown ball, whether it be tips, inaccurate throws or trying to throw a receiver open, they are simply on route rails and nothing else.
You said you wanted consistency. Lol. I didn't know the players secretly had ice skates.
Well, 2 out of 5 plays provided an awful result - so yes - its very consistent.
I spent $10 on espn 2k5 not too long ago and that’s way more than I’ll be spending on madden as long as EA has the exclusive rights.

Ryan. I was wondering if you could try this out, not sure if this is possible. If you are still able to change players ratings, lower that DB's awareness rating and run the same play again. Same results? Then lower some other his ratings and see if you get the same result. If you do, then that proves player rating have nothing to do with the game.

I agree with your criticism about Madden games...but nothing will change unless gamers get on the same page and stop purchasing the game. We complain every year but people keep buying the trash. Let's talk with our wallets. If no one bought it the NFL would step in for sure and open it up to other developers.

Do a video on franchise mode draft classes. For generated and imported draft classes, all players are the same size and you can’t edit them. A 6’5 330lb lineman is the same size as a 5’10 190lb DB.

The DB literally took off as if to fly. Maybe they took an animation from Bethesda 's Stargate. Seriously, it is sad that in 2023 with these new generation consoles we have no good representations of the NFL game that we love.

I would love for you to do a deep dive on Franchise mode being unplayable after year one. Especially when importing the draft classes and A white RG that is 6’5 and 304 lbs will appear black and 6’3 and look like he is 230 lbs LB ….and this is for all players even kickers have the same build ….
Ryan they just released week 1 rosters and it’s a complete mess. Duplicate players all over and Rodgers isn’t even on the Jets. They can’t even get roster correct
You're literally expected to play this game a certain number of times until you find the cheese plays that avoid animation triggers, and then spend $1000's upon $1000s of dollars opening packs to maximize those cheese plays in MUT.
I saw a "highlight" of a crazy 4th and 52 play, that literally looked like the QB was running a Draw directly in to a rugby scrum 10 yards past the line, then laterals to a trailing WR (no clue why he was trailing, or how the lateral made it 13 yards in the air), who then runs it in for an untouched TD. EA made a GREAT Rugby scrum simulator, which would be nice, if we weren't asking for an NFL football sim. I'm horrified at the predatory junk they're going to put out with the NCAA logo on it next year.

I’m a MUT player and let me tell you, if you see the gameplay there you’d smash the tv, the dbs don’t cover at all… and if they do it’s the most random occurrence, I’ve had players pick something that shouldn’t be interpreted. And then the nice easy pass they glitch out and run AWAY from the WR. I used to be a madden supporter but over the years. I just can’t lie it’s so bad. I can’t wait to see the other football games come out to be honest.

It’s funny cause most think that this would be hard to fix, it’s actually quite trivial if you had the right framework. Madden is broken at its core that they cannot code this out.
Bottoms line: Sapien technology sucks
EA sports has a pattern of creating new technology jargon and selling it in each new Madden game. For example, Sapien technology, what does that even mean at it’s core?

@@RyanMoody21 your video reminds me of a play from M17. Drafted a 6’6” receiver with 99 catch in traffic and 98 catching. Threw a fade in the endzone and a 5’10” CB knocks the ball out with a hitstick. Deleted the game right then and there. Ratings don’t matter.
