I also have a 2010 Honda Odyssey that I do all my maintenance myself I really try to take care of it and I got to tell you you have the best instructional videos on RUclips hands down. 👍✅
Used this exact tool. Only issue for me was my vehicle's control arm was in the path of the tool. Had to take off the control arm to make the tool work. A bit of a hassle, but worked it out
Hey thanks for the video I just did this job this weekend successfully but I noticed on the driver side with her inner tire rod screws in that shaft has like grooves in it is that supposed to be like that it looks weird
@@MrRangerZr1 there's Grooves all along one side of it the rest of it is smooth I don't remember seeing that on the passenger side but I can't see how something would have caused that should have taken a picture of it.
Dont know if you will see this since old video but every shop I ask they are saying it's a 5.5 hrs job because you have to remove steering rack??? 900$ , im needing to replace the rf inner tie rod
@@MrRangerZr1 cool thanks, mine is doing some shake when you are going uphill and more than 55 mph , it does stop when you let go the throttle, wondering if it id something related

What did you mean don’t forget to bend the new washer at the end? I need that answer because I am about to do this job

Just performed this on my '04 Odyssey a few months ago. Thanks for going through the process!
Man that tool makes quick work of removing the tie rod... I beat mine with a hammer for 10 min.
Used this exact tool. Only issue for me was my vehicle's control arm was in the path of the tool. Had to take off the control arm to make the tool work. A bit of a hassle, but worked it out
Simple. And straight to the point
Thanks for the informative share. Can you please hint on how you bent the washer?
Used a small hammer and pry tools
I had a tough time putting a new clamp back on. There has to be a specific tool for it right? to have it clamped with that bow shape from factory.
It's a weird angle, use a small hammer.
Got a question for you. On a 2011 Honda Odyssey, is it possible to change just the ball joints? Without having to change the whole knuckle.
No gotta change the whole control arm
Video is on my channel
Why should one consider changing the tie rods? What symptoms would occur with the Oddysey?
When it's worn out it can cause the steering to be wonky
Thanks Mr ranger excellent video concise and to the point as always with all the necessary tool.

The shaft that the inner tie rod screws into
Rich christopher like is it pitted? Should be smooth IIRC.

@@MrRangerZr1 my steering seems fine if anything better because there's tie rods needed to be changed out it had no resistance whatsoever
What did u mean by unbend the washer for the inner tie rod?. Will the inner tie rod tool take care of that washer?
That washer "locks" the tie rod in place so it doesn't unscrew itself out overtime.
Also I did my full rack and pinion on my '08... wow what a PITA!
Yeeeep...that's a royal PITA.

You just saw me replacing it, didn't touch the rack.
Thanks for showing and posting 👍
What will happened if you dont bend the washer?
It might become loose
How do you bend the washer sir?
With a small hammer or pry bar, whatever works in that tight space.
same torque spec for a 2012?
Very identical yes
Great video! Thanks.
What was the symptoms of that bad innner tie rod?
Rafa mine was ok, just showing you guys how to replace it. When it goes bad, you’ll have play in the tie rod.

Rafa most likely from CV axles I got the videos on my channel
@@MrRangerZr1 cool thanks I'll take a look
How do I bend the washer
Hit the washer with a small hammer or tool
@@MrRangerZr1 from the back right
yeah it's a weird angle but with a little patience you can do it
Hi is the same on 2012
yes
Thanks for the video
How much a job like this would cost at a dealer?
More than $400 for sure.
I got a $406 estimate for my 05.
@@markwegner6100 I got 3,000 estimate lol
Are the right and left different in length?
That depends on your alignment but part is the same on both sides.
