James is my favorite Journalist. I listen to James's show most days on LBC. He the most articulate Journalist I've ever listened to. I pity some of his callers to his show for example the Coach driver who said the European commission was corrupt organization and told lies. James asked him for his source of these accusations. He hadn't a clue what he was talking about. Had I been that caller I would be so embarrassed I wouldn't go out for weeks. James keep doing what you do because you're brilliant at it.
My favourite show was when he was absolutely rubbishing Frank Lampard, until Frank phoned him and reduced him to the two bob gossip wrangler that he is.

From those penny drop moments, to "idiot's corner", it's a brilliant show with generally excellent callers...plus, we get Mystery Hour once a week. Who doesn't like that?! 😁

There is no “revisit”, no rejoin. The uk does not even reach 50% of the Copenhagen Criteria. The EEA has said not to the UK so the only other way to join the CU and SM is to be a member state of the EU. Since the Copenhagen Criteria are not even nearly being adhered to there isn’t even an application to be proffered. Also, the EU have said, NO more deals like Switzerland and for the uk to look for a bespoke deal is just more cakeism and cherry picking that will not ever happen. That will NOT happen. Furthermore, Barnier is now gone and it’s not 1973 anymore. So an application is not even on the cards for now. And a simple fact is, when they have the choice people do business with people they like! In the past, because of the “empire” most countries HAD to trade with the uk and now they don’t. Everyone knows owns what and who the uk was in the past and what they are currently. The uk has very very few friends globally.

A case of previously HAVING to trade with the uk because of being a colony wasn’t friendship but now there are choices. And when difficulties arise, trade moves to where it’s easier and cheaper. There is no “revisit”, no rejoin. The uk does not even reach 50% of the Copenhagen Criteria. The EEA has said not to the UK so the only other way to join the CU and SM is to be a member state of the EU. Since the Copenhagen Criteria are not even nearly being adhered to there isn’t even an application to be proffered. Also, the EU have said, NO more deals like Switzerland and for the uk to look for a bespoke deal is just more cakeism and cherry picking that will not ever happen. That will NOT happen. Furthermore, Barnier is now gone and it’s not 1973 anymore. So an application is not even on the cards for now. And a simple fact is, when they have the choice people do business with people they like! In the past, because of the “empire” most countries HAD to trade with the uk and now they don’t. Everyone knows owns what and who the uk was in the past and what they are currently. The uk has very very few friends globally.

@ I never said they HAD many friends before I purely stated that they don’t have many globally. A case of previously HAVING to trade with the uk because of being a colony wasn’t friendship but now there are choices. And when difficulties arise, trade moves to where it’s easier and cheaper. Simply put, too much red tape making it difficult and more expensive the trade moves to where it’s cheaper and easier.
