Is that another Mirage 2700 in Wales? I have one in Newport (Uskmouth), also with a 2QM15. I was actually looking for an engine oilchange video (how to drain and how to get to the filler) but after seeing this I will check my transmission fluid too. Thanks for sharing.

Your very welcome buddy your quite close I’m in the monkstone Britton ferry
Engine oil change is next so watch this space, pretty sure I will do the same which is use the pump down the dip stick hole to get it out. 👍

@@solosailinghomeschool8627 Oil and filter change done. Pumped old out via dipstick hole with a 12v pump into a plastic milk bottle (pre graduated for convenience). Then swapped the ends of the pump over and pumped oil from the bottle it came in (also graduated) in through the dipstick hole. I ran the engine first to get the oil hot and easy to pump. Something I didnt do but would in the future is heat the bottle of oil up first, perhaps on a radiator or airing cupboard to make it easier to pump. I took a few pics and videos which might or might not be helpful, if you want me to send them let me know how.

Hi I have the exact same engine. Have you bled it yet?

Bled it as in drained the engine oil? Or is there a bleed valve for the transmission oil?

@@solosailinghomeschool8627 sorry I was vague. My question was if you have ever bled the fuel system? I'm about to do this with my engine after the fuel filter is changed. I'm curious if it's enough to bleed it via the fuel filters bleed valve or if there are more bleed valves across the engine/fuel system which also should be bled. Regards from Sweden

Ah good question, no I have not had to bleed the fuel system yet but will be at the start of next year, I can have a look at what top tips are about this evening if that helps

@@solosailinghomeschool8627 I have the manuals and there are other videos on RUclips but not with this exact engine. I have a pretty good idea how it should be done but I'm not completely sure. No you don't have to spoil you're Friday helping me :) but perhaps a future suggestion for a video!
