Nice video. I have the same windlass and had the same problem with the drum only rotating on one of The strokes. I had to take it completely apart and replaced one of the sprockets that was broken and then carefully putting the chain back on. The part the part was easy to source through Simpson Lawrence and was pretty inexpensive. The hardest part was getting the spindle for the Gypsy out and back in again.

Having some problems with my 2qm15 no water out exhaust. I changed the elbow which was bunged up. Impeller seems to work as water comes through hose when I turn the engine on. Checked front anode and water seens to be going into the block (or whatever) just not out the top or bypass? Going to test pathways with a hose today but any tips/knowledge would be much appreciated! EDIT: water now not jetting from impeller so will check that today!

I do mine this way, take off thermostat, so it won't bypass, make antifreeze mix in bucket, hose from waterpump to bucket and then run motor until antifreeze comes thru exhaust. Roughly 3-5 litres of mixture goes thru this way. How much did you fit in motor your way?

I changed my anode this weekend. I didnt take the nipples off. I wedged some wood between the top nipple and the engine body (the high pressure pump) to stop the tube turning and put a spanner on the bolt. It was too stiff to turn so I used some wd40 and heated it with a soldering iron and that freed it. The back one was much more of a challenge. It looks like it doesnt match the manual? The square bolt has a hole in it with what looks like a temperature sensor in it? Does yours match the manual or have something different too? I'm not sure if a previous owner did it, or the boat manufacturers, or if there were two versions of the engine. EDIT: I just rewatched your other video about the rear heat housing and yours is as per the manual. Mine must be a Newport special.

Then swapped the ends of the pump over and pumped oil from the bottle it came in (also graduated) in through the dipstick hole. I ran the engine first to get the oil hot and easy to pump. I have a 1992 Toyota Hilux with the 3.0 3vze engine. It has had an oil leak for the last year or so, however is getting worse. I thought it was the rocker cover gaskets. However after doing an egr valve delete to access the passenger side (it’s LHD) and changing those the oil leak is still present. I’m about to degrease the oil deposits as best I can, and hope I can pin point the leak. Likely an oil port leak from cylinder 6. Your problem sounds interesting have you taken the exhaust elbow off and had a look in there? As it has a double skin and can sometimes block when corroded? Although that would not explain the cold water at that end. Also have you back flashed your main block? Sometimes there can be a blockage after the first zinc where it goes through the heat exchanger (a impeller arm or a bit of zinc this can stop the hot flow ever getting to the thermostat
