  • THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR OUR FIRST ONE THOUSAND SUBSCRIBERS! Today we test our Naraku’s Adjustable CDI Box in hopes of achieving more power, acceleration and/or speed. As always thanks for the continued support! None of my videos are sponsored. I’m simply buying products I think are cool and want to try. I’m having a great time building this Maddog and even more fun riding it around! Plenty of more videos on the way, thanks for your time.
    Also, if you have a DC voltage system on your scooter. I will sell you my Honda fuel pump and do a FREE installation to film a video, ONLY IF YOU LIVE IN THE PHOENIX ARIZONA AREA!

    Better Off With A Factory Ac Box As I Learned On Mine When It Was On AC Setup

  • @ORIGINALCONCEPTGARAGE
    @ORIGINALCONCEPTGARAGE Год назад +1

    Hook pulsebox through your tail lights will be dc as there hooked up after the ac power hits the rectifier creating dc power

      Yeah! I found this out on the Facebook group pages. Going to try it out wiring it up to the brake light. Just need some clear fuel line. Thanks for watching!!

    Timing has to change over RPM and load ranges. You can trial and error to a point, but you need a dyno and data to do it properly.
    Given those CDI units are mysterious black boxes, it's not surprising the factory tune is quite good, and better than a mystery curve.
    If you can find one that's programmable where you can adjust the advance across the RPM ranges, you might be able to pick up some top end, but without modifying intake, fueling, exhaust, or cam, it's unlikely to help. The factory probably got as much out of it as they could, especially if it's not tightly regulated for emissions.

      Ya I didn't throw out any if them. I plan on trying them again at different stages of "bilt on" build. I record 0-30, 1/8th mile and top speed in both directions. About as much of a dyno as I have. LOL

    good video.. the CDI is quite popular.. do just a vid on CDI.. this rambles to much on too many items.. do the engine seperate,, CDI and scooter stuff different.. shorter but more vid.. goood job..

    I have a 150cc maddog. It starts up, but won’t accelerate. Does this mean I need to change out the CDI?

    • @Aldama5523
      @Aldama5523  Год назад

      Not necessarily. I would look at the carburetor first. The fuel jets may be clogged and is a more common issue than a bad CDI.

      @@Aldama5523 thank you for a quick reply. Do you have a video on carburetors? Or have a refer? I’m trying to do it myself so I don’t have to take it into a shop.

      150cc gy6. Rolling wrench has a drop in 171cc big bore kit. Seems really nice and easy to install.
