  • Today we’re upgrading the scooters most insufficient system. The fuel system. The factory vacuum fuel pumps cannot keep up with fuel demand at wide open throttle and we begin the sputtering and engine stalls mid-ride and in traffic. It’s absolutely annoying and we are deleting the vacuum pump altogether with Rolling Wenches Electric Fuel Pump Conversion kit. We will now be able to meet the demands of the carburetor and cruise at wide open throttle! With this fuel upgrade I wanted to get a perfect tune on our carburetor so installed an Air fuel ratio gauge from Rolling Wrench to measure our air/fuel mixture the carburetor is producing. I didn’t want to take to much of your time and made the video into two parts. The fuel pump install this week and the AFR install next week so be sure to SUBSCRIBE and come back to keep up with this build. As always, thanks for your time and support. Enjoy the video and the reminder of your day.

    I appreciate the vids, so now that you fixed the fuel issues are you going to do any mods to get the speed up from 50-60 or is that not possible? Please excuse my ignorance for asking this question. Stay blessed brother. I did subscribe because I liked the way you explained everything you did and simplified how things work.

      It’s definitely possible. Big bore kit to 171cc and final drive gearing are still options to make 65ish mph, maybe. It goes 55 right now and I love it. Thanks for watching and subscribing. Much appreciated of your time bro.

      The video shows exactly how I hooked it up. I even put on the screen the colors for each wire on my scooter.

    Do leave the wide band in all the time?

      I have it wired in permanently to monitor the engine. It’s the best way to tell how your engine is running. But you can unbolt it and Rolling Wrench provides a plug for those that don’t want to have it in permanently. It’s optional. I think it looks cool too.

    Have you had any red light braking vacuum issues since installing the electric pump?

    • @Aldama5523
      @Aldama5523  Год назад +1

      Not at all. No issues. Fixed our fuel issue I was having. The engine would stall on me coming to a sudden stop. It also didn’t like to cruise at wide open throttle. The vacuum fuel pump cannot keep up the demand of the carburetor. The electric fuel pump conversion fixed both issues. I love the scooter even more now it’s operating as it should. Huge upgrade, I recommend to all with a vacuum fuel pump.

    What’s up bro by any chance do you know which color wires from the tachometer is rpm/tac signal? Fuel signal? My rpm and speedometer not working nor the fuel. But there like 7 wires cut so idk what is what. Don’t want to start just tapping into them. Or do you know where I can find the wiring diagram?

      Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with the wiring myself. Hope you get it worked out. Thanks for visiting the channel!
