Nokie Edwards, Bob Bogle and Don Wilson proving that after 45 years together were sounding better than ever. This was one of their last times on stage as the Ventures. One of most influential groups ever. There wasn't any band that could what they did for so long. This performance says it all,

The Ventures were probably the best instrumental group around! Their music and the arrangements of their songs has never gone out of style. I grew up listening to them and I enjoy them as much now as when I first heard them.
Sad to know that they all are not with us anymore, except for Leon Taylor who's dad Mel was the drummer for most of the Ventures years... Rest in peace you guys. You were amazing. Thank you very much for your contrabution to rock and roll and surf rock.....
I remember their 33 LPs in the album rack of the old RCA Victor record player at home. We must have had them all. I remember the old sitcoms also with this music, Hawaii 5-0, and the lot. RIP you were the best.

Many years ago, we built a small radio station with the help of one of the guy’s dad who was a ham radio operator. It was only 100 Milliwatts by law and could only have a 10 foot antenna including the lead in wire….We put the transmitter and the antenna together at the top of a big tree, and had almost a mile of transmission range. I had my little show called Dave’s Corner….Walk Don’t Run was the theme song and the Ventures have been with me ever since. Now, in my mid seventies I walk with a cane, so I really am Walk Don’t Run….

Clapton? Hendricks? Give me Nokie Edwards anytime.His solo work on Wipeout was extraordinary - like everything he plays. Never heard the band pay better than this show. The sound production was perfect.
