  • The Pitot-static probe measures local velocity by measuring the pressure difference in conjunction with the Bernoulli equation. It consists of a slender double-tube aligned with the flow and connected to a differential pressure meter.
    This animation video shows how pitot-static tube works. It also derives the formula which are required for calculating the velocity of an dynamic air. Have fun watching ^^
