I've sample knit the My Chrysalis Shawl with suri for fuzzy fiberz. I loved working with suri; it's so soft and light!! Thank you for sharing this video for so many other ideas.
I’m adding the Elton to my Ravelry now, it’s beautiful 😍. I also have a pullover called the Cambito saved to make as well. I’ve never used either mohair or Siri before; however I’m keen to give it a go. 😊
Love the fluff--I have been converted recently for sure. I am definitely more of a fan of the Suri alpaca but that mohair in a Lento (or any simple sweater) is amazing. I did Suri alpaca instead of mohair for the Birds of a Feather shawl (by Andrea Mowry)--it's so buttery soft and light and I have trouble wrangling it away from my youngest son who likes to wrap up in it while gaming. The Clara sweater is a free pattern on Ravelry (EweKnit Toronto) and it is 2 strands of mohair held double. The Lokta tee is in my queue, it uses 100% linen held with mohair. So many wonderful options--thanks for the happy thoughts this Thursday!
I love knitting shawls using suri. Two patterns I had fun knitting is the Bennet Sister Shawl by Lindsay Fowler and the Haight Ashbury Dream by Jen Peck. I have also knitted a few of your fingerless glove pattern using suri.
I have the knit picks mohair to knit the November balaclava for a gift. Hope they like it. At first i wasnt going to add mohair, but it looked so luxurious for a gift.
Oops, forgot to mention, i was an 80s mohair queen. Still have all of my many jumpers/cardigans. As i have ME now I'm even more fond of lightweight yarns, both to knit with & wear.❤
I LOVE the top you are wearing - where can i get the pattern ? I bought some ggh suri alpaca a while ago & have been looking for something special to knit. Have lots of skeins of lace & fingering weight calling to me also 😂
Mohair has a “stickiness” to it. It doesn’t fall apart. It just fluffs if that makes sense lol a lot of patterns use dfifferent weights to give the pattern texture and design element.

Knitting a musselburgh hat with DK and mohair held double
Oh that would be so cozy!!
I am knitting a Love Note
That’s such a great pattern !
I am currently working on the rock it T, first time using mohair. Don’t have any advice. I like it so far.
Rock on! 🥰
Elton is my favorite
Isn’t it stunning?
Why are so many patterns done with two different sizes of yarn? Does the mohair fall apart easily?
