That last one… If we consider DBZA’s version of events, boy does that line up. Napa annoyed Vegeta enough that once disabled, geets was done. In the original anime run, some game adaptations said it best; he had no use for a Saiyan that couldn’t move, much less fight
It's honestly amazing how in the span of six years, you've gone from simple What If's to an interconnected series of events across a multiverse of scenarios, topping things off with something like this. This video is dripping with cosmic horror vibes and I adore it. Whatever story you have planned out with Nomad, Bocksa's timeline, and the others you've created is something that we eagerly await for.

I also like that if you take all of Masako’s videos as The Forgotten One telling those stories to this Trunks, it sort of explains in a meta way at least why “What If Future Trunks Was Stuck In The Past?” was never continued. Nice save, Masako!
Didn’t expect this to be a backstory for Nomad. He met a half-dead Zamasu in a half-dead timeline and heard of the various what ifs? Crazy but interesting.
Yea infinite zamasu transcended time and space and just by existing he was a threat to every timeline and he would have destroyed all timelines if it weren’t for that Zeno erasing the multiverse he might have won
So now we know much more about Nomad, but I have a feeling we'll find out why he has such an interest in Bocksa's timeline in the future. I do wonder which Trunks he might have come from, it seems like the Meeting Bulma Early as previously suspected.
I have a feeling that "perfection" (the cell of that timeline) is going to be a problem at multiversal level, so nomad and the faceless would have to take care of it before it gets out of control (kinda like how vision/ultron from marvel what if threatened the multiverse) that also makes me wonder if lssj gohan would also be a multiverse-level threat too
Well, that was enlightening and somewhat worrisome. Let me see if I got this right: 1. At least one version of Zamasu is trapped in a decaying timeline for his crimes. 2. Nomad, who *is* an alternate Trunks, befriended this Zamasu and, ironically, thinks the gods aren't doing their jobs correctly. This might not end well for the multiverse...
I love this original side to your multiverse! How you told a whole what if Zamsu won without even having to say it, just by description alone. You have become quite the adapt storyteller. I love this arc you have set up. It looks like Nomad is trying to figure out what in the end I suspect is the work of Perfection in the background based on the clues you leave with the red and black lighting changes every time Perfection interferes with a timeline.

I absolutely love everything about this. Masakox is an amazing story teller and has a brilliant mind on how to weave these story lines what ifs and discussions into an interconnected world. Just the sheer size and scope of it all is awe inspiring. If there could ever be a way for this to be animated or even drawn out in a manga/comic style web series I think I would be the happiest lil nerd in all of existence. Simply amazing sir, thank you for sharing this vision of DB with us. There is so much more I could say about this but honestly saying things about it would do no justice, this is something that MUST be experienced.
Always dug the idea of a Future Trunks who's gone through a darker shift and develops a deep resentment towards the higher celestial beings. It also feels like a thing that he and Zamas could have bonded over in general (assuming the latter's elitist zealotry was put aside or redirected).
Being here since the first what-if, having watched literally every what-if compliation video a handful of times, and following the journey your channel has gone thru makes this video wildly cathartic, i love the references, i love the call-backs, i love the LORE!!!!

I KNEW he was going to do this. The crumbs and pieces were there, but I knew we were going to get an into the Spider-Verse level crossover with Masako's What-If characters being involved in something orchestrated by Nomad. I have been waiting for this for SO long and it was worth it.

I've been working on a concept much like this for a while. "The Nightmare Timelines" is what I called them. The ones I've explored so far revolve around moments for Goku that would bring disaster to their timeline, but other characters are certainly possible. Wonderful work, can't wait to hear where this goes.
Sounds a lot like DCs "Tales from the Dark Multiverse," which was a sick idea. A series like Dragon Ball has so many opportunities to see how one character's fuck up could ruin everything, especially people like Goku who hold so much influence

Lets see, so this is the story about a Fused Zamasu that succeeded, or perhaps, survived the erasure. And the Trunks that fell into the series has been the one mysterious stranger that has shown up in several other episodes, particularly in the What if Goku landed at Capsule corps one. It seems that he trying to prepare people for certain dangers, in more than one timeline. I wonder what his timeline was like to cause him to mess up so bad. Now this brings up some interesting questions about Nomad's original timeline, and his end goals. This is also quite interesting as this is a definitive connection between all of the Whatif's, in one overarching story universe. This also means that characters from past whatifs, even those that have ended have a chance at returning, in one way or another. Hmm, Maybe Masako is The Zamasu at the end, or perhaps, he is the god that is keeping him trapped there. (I just realized that some of this info is directly in the description. lol) I am also curious what other people/ objects have ended up there. Man, this just makes me even more interested and curious at the connections, and wanting to know more.
Wonder if we are about to get something similar too the multiversal tournament fan comic but with the what ifs masako made, I've always wondered how the different timelines would interact with eachother hehehe I'm getting excited ^^

I recently was re-listening to some of my favorite what ifs, and something at the end made me realize, they were all connected somehow. Not going to say which one, or what happened. But, the ending gave me that shock and idea. This video more or less confirms what I was thinking. Cannot wait to see where this is all headed. Seems to be an interesting thing. Is this a prelude to basically what the Super Dragon Ball Heroes thing is? Cannot wait to see how it goes.

I'm new to the whole Traveler Trunks thing, but after watching this I'm really intrigued! I love the idea that Masako's What Ifs are slowly becoming interconnected, and I'm curious as to the origins of these two! I've never actually watched the Goku landing at Capsule Corp story since it hasn't interested me until now, but that's probably going to change pretty soon. I need to know more. What other stories do these guys appear in, if they actually do? Should I start with the Goku CC storyline? What other stories do I need to check out? Is there a specific order? Holy Dende, this feels like jumping back into Kingdom Hearts XD
Some what ifs have had glitches occur where someone says an event or person that didn't happen. Then someone questions it then they both forget what was said.
I’ve always wondered if you’d do a multiversal crossover type story with your what ifs. If this is an indication of that coming to light, I’m really excited!
I think what’s interesting here is that I feel this story kind of blurred the line of which timeline Nomad came from. The most likely candidate I thought was “What If Goku Landed At Capsule Corp.”, but this may not be the case. But then again, if Nomad is from a different timeline, than why would he pick Boxa’s timeline of all places to go to? Also it is interesting to see Zamasu in the position he’s in. I don’t think he’s good here, he’s more… pure neutral. He no longer wants to do evil deeds, but he doesn’t really feel like a redeemed goody two shoes. As for Zamasu’s stories, let’s see if I can figure out what they were… -The Tale of a Warrior who had much more battles written for him I believe is “What If Bardock convinced the Saiyans” -The tale of the ground not giving birth to the life giving seeds is easy; it’s the first What If you ever did: “What if Senzu Beans never existed”. -The world where the boy and the girl never met is What if Goku and Bulma Never Met, of course. -The story of where two halves became whole in earlier, easier times… I’m not 100% sure. The only one I could possibly think of is “What If Piccolo and Kami Fused Early”, but I’d hardly call that What If “easier times”. -The Legend awakening early is the first multi parter on the channel: “What if Kid Goku went Super Saiyan”. -The brother who was given a second chance is “What if Raditz turned good”. -The prince killed by an accident is “What If Vegeta got wasted on Namek”, where he was killed by Krillin and not brought back until after the Androids and Cell were dealt with. -The one with the Traveler going too far back is “What If Trunks met Past Bulma”. Interestingly, it seems to be implying Nomad is either from this timeline, or is from a timeline similar to it. -being unable to revert the inevitable with a mere wish is “What if the Dragonballs Couldn’t Revive People”. -The threat of the person who wanted power prematurely sounds like a Vegeta one. While it is most likely “What if Vegeta Stayed Evil”, it could also be “What if Vegeta was the first Super Saiyan”. Long shot answer could be something related to Zamasu himself, but I think the former two are more likely. -The world of the traveler’s old friend is probably “What if Future Gohan Survived”. -The one about fusion is “What if Vegito stayed Fused”. -One trick that saved the universe by putting it closer than ever before is, to me, the trickiest one to place. Top three contenders I think would be “What if Goku won the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai”, “What if Krillin was a Saiyan”, or “What if Piccolo Had a Son”. Not 100% sure though. -the one about someone taking the praise for their deeds and then regretting it is probably “What If Gohan was Earth’s Savior”. -The Boy and the girl connecting as lovers is “What if Goku Married Bulma”. -The one where the one normally killed by his own master ending up being the hero is “What if Nappa turned Good”, which is fitting, as in the full recap we actually find out that Zamasu was telling this story to Nomad in the Epilogue of that story. As for the item Nomad tried to take, no idea what it was. The Potara, maybe? I don’t know what other item it could be. I mean… unless this Zamasu is from… I want to say the Ranch one? The one where Zamasu took the Time Machine and was tricked into traveling away from Goku Black? No that can’t be, because this Zamasu killed everyone and everything. Man, it’s hard to pinpoint where this Zamasu and Nomad are from… Unless they are from What Ifs that Masako hasn’t told yet…

I love how this story looks at other stories as timelines. I think iirc we got a teaser of a conversation between the Forgotten One and The Traveler at the end of the what if nappa turned good story.
Its like when you empty your recycle bin, you think you've deleted your data but you haven't. You've only removed the pointer that points to the data in your hard drive. Then random parts of it get written over. But then you find a way to restore the "deleted" data which not only doesn't match the current environment anymore but has random parts of itself written over by other programs and files over the years. Hi Masako! 😄 I think that a really interesting what if would be a crossover between Dragon Ball Z and Harry Potter. Just imagine a fusion between Goku and Harry, or the similarities that Voldemort and Evil Buu have, and maybe a fight between Voldemort and Babidi, who manages to control him, and becomes Majin Voldemort!

I wonder if Nomad will become a villain for a what if. Maybe there’s even a reverse timeline that shifts the alignments of every hero and villain to where characters like frieza and cell are the z-fighters and Roshi and capsule corp are the enemies

Yea infinite zamasu transcended time and space and just by existing he was a threat to every timeline and he would have destroyed all timelines if it weren’t for that Zeno erasing the multiverse he might have won
This zamasu could also be more powerful than infinite zamasu because he is far older and could have more powerful
So now we know much more about Nomad, but I have a feeling we'll find out why he has such an interest in Bocksa's timeline in the future.
I do wonder which Trunks he might have come from, it seems like the Meeting Bulma Early as previously suspected.
I have a feeling that "perfection" (the cell of that timeline) is going to be a problem at multiversal level, so nomad and the faceless would have to take care of it before it gets out of control (kinda like how vision/ultron from marvel what if threatened the multiverse) that also makes me wonder if lssj gohan would also be a multiverse-level threat too

Well, that was enlightening and somewhat worrisome. Let me see if I got this right:
1. At least one version of Zamasu is trapped in a decaying timeline for his crimes.
2. Nomad, who *is* an alternate Trunks, befriended this Zamasu and, ironically, thinks the gods aren't doing their jobs correctly.
This might not end well for the multiverse...

I love this original side to your multiverse! How you told a whole what if Zamsu won without even having to say it, just by description alone. You have become quite the adapt storyteller. I love this arc you have set up. It looks like Nomad is trying to figure out what in the end I suspect is the work of Perfection in the background based on the clues you leave with the red and black lighting changes every time Perfection interferes with a timeline.

Masakox is an amazing story teller and has a brilliant mind on how to weave these story lines what ifs and discussions into an interconnected world. Just the sheer size and scope of it all is awe inspiring. If there could ever be a way for this to be animated or even drawn out in a manga/comic style web series I think I would be the happiest lil nerd in all of existence. Simply amazing sir, thank you for sharing this vision of DB with us. There is so much more I could say about this but honestly saying things about it would do no justice, this is something that MUST be experienced.
Always dug the idea of a Future Trunks who's gone through a darker shift and develops a deep resentment towards the higher celestial beings. It also feels like a thing that he and Zamas could have bonded over in general (assuming the latter's elitist zealotry was put aside or redirected).
I always wondered who Nomad was. I figured it was Trunks but I wasn't sure. I'm excited to see where this goes

Stopping to think of it, was it ever explained about the glitches that happened in some What Ifs before? (Like Trunks mentioning Gohan in WI Goku won the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai of Dr. Briefs mentioning Boksa in WI Turles turned good)

Backstory of the Nomad and possibly the start of the What-if-inity we've waited for for years.
I remember meeting a friend at the End of Time who was also quite forgotten, giving an egg to revive a friend with familiarly spiky red hair, blue gi, and yellow pants. Gaspar was his name and he had a cool mustache.
I was thinking the same, expecting the Zamasu here to have come from one of the stories where he was lost into Time.
It's official, Future Trunks is Nomad. It seem those who think about this Theory were right. Which mean that this Video along with the previous one is a Prequel of "What If Goku land at Capsule Corps?" Perhaps we'll see the Origins of Perfection later.

I've been working on a concept much like this for a while. "The Nightmare Timelines" is what I called them. The ones I've explored so far revolve around moments for Goku that would bring disaster to their timeline, but other characters are certainly possible. Wonderful work, can't wait to hear where this goes.
Sounds a lot like DCs "Tales from the Dark Multiverse," which was a sick idea. A series like Dragon Ball has so many opportunities to see how one character's fuck up could ruin everything, especially people like Goku who hold so much influence

So this is what happens to Fused Zamasu after his fusion becomes unstable due to Zamasu being immortal and Goku Black is a mortal.
Lets see, so this is the story about a Fused Zamasu that succeeded, or perhaps, survived the erasure. And the Trunks that fell into the series has been the one mysterious stranger that has shown up in several other episodes, particularly in the What if Goku landed at Capsule corps one. It seems that he trying to prepare people for certain dangers, in more than one timeline. I wonder what his timeline was like to cause him to mess up so bad.
Now this brings up some interesting questions about Nomad's original timeline, and his end goals. This is also quite interesting as this is a definitive connection between all of the Whatif's, in one overarching story universe. This also means that characters from past whatifs, even those that have ended have a chance at returning, in one way or another. Hmm, Maybe Masako is The Zamasu at the end, or perhaps, he is the god that is keeping him trapped there.
(I just realized that some of this info is directly in the description. lol)
I am also curious what other people/ objects have ended up there. Man, this just makes me even more interested and curious at the connections, and wanting to know more.

I recently was re-listening to some of my favorite what ifs, and something at the end made me realize, they were all connected somehow. Not going to say which one, or what happened. But, the ending gave me that shock and idea. This video more or less confirms what I was thinking.
Cannot wait to see where this is all headed. Seems to be an interesting thing. Is this a prelude to basically what the Super Dragon Ball Heroes thing is? Cannot wait to see how it goes.

I'm new to the whole Traveler Trunks thing, but after watching this I'm really intrigued! I love the idea that Masako's What Ifs are slowly becoming interconnected, and I'm curious as to the origins of these two! I've never actually watched the Goku landing at Capsule Corp story since it hasn't interested me until now, but that's probably going to change pretty soon. I need to know more. What other stories do these guys appear in, if they actually do? Should I start with the Goku CC storyline? What other stories do I need to check out? Is there a specific order?

Some what ifs have had glitches occur where someone says an event or person that didn't happen. Then someone questions it then they both forget what was said.
Huh, ok! Similar to Bocksa being mentioned in the Turles story, I'm guessing. Anything else significant, or is the meat of the story yet to come?
I’ve always wondered if you’d do a multiversal crossover type story with your what ifs. If this is an indication of that coming to light, I’m really excited!
I think what’s interesting here is that I feel this story kind of blurred the line of which timeline Nomad came from. The most likely candidate I thought was “What If Goku Landed At Capsule Corp.”, but this may not be the case. But then again, if Nomad is from a different timeline, than why would he pick Boxa’s timeline of all places to go to?
Also it is interesting to see Zamasu in the position he’s in. I don’t think he’s good here, he’s more… pure neutral. He no longer wants to do evil deeds, but he doesn’t really feel like a redeemed goody two shoes.
As for Zamasu’s stories, let’s see if I can figure out what they were…
-The Tale of a Warrior who had much more battles written for him I believe is “What If Bardock convinced the Saiyans”
-The tale of the ground not giving birth to the life giving seeds is easy; it’s the first What If you ever did: “What if Senzu Beans never existed”.
-The world where the boy and the girl never met is What if Goku and Bulma Never Met, of course.
-The story of where two halves became whole in earlier, easier times… I’m not 100% sure. The only one I could possibly think of is “What If Piccolo and Kami Fused Early”, but I’d hardly call that What If “easier times”.
-The Legend awakening early is the first multi parter on the channel: “What if Kid Goku went Super Saiyan”.
-The brother who was given a second chance is “What if Raditz turned good”.
-The prince killed by an accident is “What If Vegeta got wasted on Namek”, where he was killed by Krillin and not brought back until after the Androids and Cell were dealt with.
-The one with the Traveler going too far back is “What If Trunks met Past Bulma”. Interestingly, it seems to be implying Nomad is either from this timeline, or is from a timeline similar to it.
-being unable to revert the inevitable with a mere wish is “What if the Dragonballs Couldn’t Revive People”.
-The threat of the person who wanted power prematurely sounds like a Vegeta one. While it is most likely “What if Vegeta Stayed Evil”, it could also be “What if Vegeta was the first Super Saiyan”. Long shot answer could be something related to Zamasu himself, but I think the former two are more likely.
-The world of the traveler’s old friend is probably “What if Future Gohan Survived”.
-The one about fusion is “What if Vegito stayed Fused”.
-One trick that saved the universe by putting it closer than ever before is, to me, the trickiest one to place. Top three contenders I think would be “What if Goku won the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai”, “What if Krillin was a Saiyan”, or “What if Piccolo Had a Son”. Not 100% sure though.
-the one about someone taking the praise for their deeds and then regretting it is probably “What If Gohan was Earth’s Savior”.
-The Boy and the girl connecting as lovers is “What if Goku Married Bulma”.
-The one where the one normally killed by his own master ending up being the hero is “What if Nappa turned Good”, which is fitting, as in the full recap we actually find out that Zamasu was telling this story to Nomad in the Epilogue of that story.
As for the item Nomad tried to take, no idea what it was. The Potara, maybe? I don’t know what other item it could be. I mean… unless this Zamasu is from… I want to say the Ranch one? The one where Zamasu took the Time Machine and was tricked into traveling away from Goku Black? No that can’t be, because this Zamasu killed everyone and everything. Man, it’s hard to pinpoint where this Zamasu and Nomad are from…
Unless they are from What Ifs that Masako hasn’t told yet…
The item seemed to be the time ring, as mentioned in the epilogue for “What If Nappa Turned Good?”
