    Great reaction.
I cried when I saw Vai.

great reaction, Steve Vai was voted the 10th greatest guitar player of all time. Steve doesn't need words, he tells a story with his facial expressions, he makes his guitar talk, you will get a similar reaction to ego death by watching STEVE VAI , TENDER SURRENDER (SteveVaiHimself) video, the tears will definitely be flowing, then you will be dancing with a big smile watching STEVE VAI INCREDIBLE GUITAR PERFORMANCE HD video, Steve live at a festival with a great line up of guitar player's, great duel with keyboard/guitar player TONY McALPINE, you will enjoy the unusual guitar line up in the middle section of the tune, also NOW WE RUN (SteveVaiHimself) video, Steve Vai playing with 2 violinists, also keep an eye on the drummer Jeremy colsons great performance during NOW WE RUN, it's not a big drum kit but he can certainly play it. another tune that will get the tears going is from a show I saw many years ago in London, the beautiful WHISPERING A PRAYER live at the Astoria London, the only problem with this show was the poor camera work, but same again watch Steve's facial expressions telling the story to the audience, then for some really wild guitar and bass playing you've got to watch Steve and his long time friend and the best singer/ bass player I've ever seen BILLY SHEEHAN, performing a song they used to play with David Lee Roth back in the middle 1980's SHYBOY, have a look at "SHYBOY" ( Zawzaw Zaw) video on RUclips, the same year as SHYBOY was released in 1986 Steve Vai played guitar in the movie "CROSSROADS", have a look at the" EPIC GUITAR BATTLE SCENE" with RALPH MACCHIO, (remember the karate kid! ),who will win Steve the devil's champion or Ralph!. best wishes from the north east coast of England. enjoy these great performances.

The young band itself is very talented and with the addition of guitar legend Steve Vai in this song puts it over the top. Not everyone is a fan of Vai because he's known as a "shredder" but this song proved he can still do his thing at a slower pace. The man is I believe 60 years old. But it's cool to see old school with new school.

The concept of ego death is something I'm very interested in. To me one of the ultimate challenges to one's ego is having children, and this song I feel encapsulates that. It starts very humbly but finishes in such a joyous eruption, before ending calmly and serenely at the end, catching all the spills and thrills along the way. I love music that is deep like this and operates on so many levels. It's a never-ending gift we can keep returning to.

There are three stages on this video. In each one of them a guitarist sat on a throne. We go from a deep internal Basement, to a first floor, to a rooftop. Elevating. Tim is the face of this group so he sat on the deeper level. Then he kills his ego and ascends, There the second guitarist takes the lead and eliminates his own ego. On the higher part is the experienced wise Master that is more elevated and experienced. At the end the trumpet man is higher than all, seeking no protagonism or importance.
This is about playing for the group and not being a ego Maniac soloist

Loved your reaction, it's a different spin than the usual reactors with you showing your reaction through your physical reactions and adding comments in via spontaneous remarks or the onscreen captions. Seeing as yours is a recent YT channel, I'd love to see your reactions to the usual suspects of Metal songs for beginners as I noticed you already did a Jinjer reaction (and to see yourself work your way up the Metal genre ladder haha)

@@lnariousreacts Hey there, I'm so sorry for the late reply, was offline for a bit and my notifications got a bit clogged up and I just noticed this now.
Oh wow, well, Metal is such a huge and unexpectedly diverse genre to react to, and that's without taking into account Rock music separately.
Without going into too much detail, I'll mention the biggest bands in terms of overall impact and popularity as per the timeline of metal in general, and name 2 songs which are most unlike each other in their discography so you get an idea of the range of music of each band -
*Black Sabbath* - Generally considered the first Metal band ever, tend to be slower and have a classic metal feel,
Heavy song - War Pigs, Soft song - Changes
*Judas Priest* and *Iron Maiden* - Biggest of the NWOBHM bands, bands which sped up metal in the 80s and added more melody and aggression to the template,
Heavy song - Painkiller (JP)/The Trooper (IM), Soft song - Beyond the Realms of Death (JP)/Wasting Love (IM)
*Metallica* and the rest of the Big 4 *Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer* - Biggest Thrash bands ever, Thrash metal took the basic idea of NWOBHM and dialed up the aggression, speed and technicality to much higher levels, each one of the Big 4 has an unique identity while still remaining thrash,
Heavy song - Master of Puppets (MET)/Holy Wars (MEG)/Indians (ANT)/Raining Blood (SLY), Soft song - Nothing else matters (MET)/A tout le monde (MEG)/Safe Home (ANT)/Seasons in the Abyss (SLY)
Other big bands from other genres to get introduced to, *Pantera* for Groove metal (check out 'Domination' and 'Cemetary Gates'), *Dreamtheater* for Progressive metal (check out 'A Nightmare to Remember' and 'Wither')
Seriously, I am omitting so many songs and so many bands and so many genres, but this is the typical starting point for most metal beginners, so try these and let's see how it goes from here on 😅

When you feel notes and don't just hear them, a good composition well executed can take you on an emotional ride. That's why you need to get a guitar if you don't already have one. While you're at it, look up work from Steve Vai; the man on the throne that played the end of the song. Having a legend do a guest appearance on a track is an honor. Seeing these guys and a few others in a niche genre carrying the torch for virtuosic playing does my heart good. Next rabbit hole is Plini Cascade since Steve Vai gave the guy a nod on Twitter.

I've been a steve vai fan for many of years. Not sure how he does it but his music and guitar playing calms my busy brain. He makes it to were you can pick out every note he's playing. You should check out a "erotic nightmares" and " tender surrender " if you do. Keep in mind all of the sound effects on these songs he's doing with the guitar. Love your reactions.

Its my goal is to watch everyone’s reaction to Polyphia. Just to try and recreate 1/10th of what I felt when I heard these songs for the first time. And I gotta be honest, yours is the closest I’ve gotten to the feeling of true raw emotion I felt upon first hearing this band. These guys single handidly brought back my passion for music, and your reaction is the perfect personification of why it happened.
    Thank you :)
