Polyphia made me feel the same way I felt when I heard Dream Theater first time early 2000's. Accidentally heard G.O.A.T and I finally after 10 years I picked up my guitar again and have been playing ever since. I'm never going to even try to reach that level but playing (and listening to Polyphia) has brought me so much enjoyment in my life that I can't even measure it. I'm honestly so much in-debt to them I can't even comprehend it.

@@hazebruv That's a big question. But, it's tough to go wrong with Schecter for a mid-high end one or Ibanez for a low-high end one. I wouldn't get too cute with the shape, just get one that looks at least mostly like a normal guitar and if you want something crazy (I've got a Dean Razorback Explosion) you can get that later. There are shortages and price hikes due to supply problems from COVID, so make sure you're not getting burned on one or anything. Spend $400 from Ibanez, Schecter, Jackson, or Dean, and you really can't go wrong.
Good luck. Guitar's pretty easy to get into, but you can spend 50 years playing every day for hours and still not have done even half of what there is to do.

The way music can make us feel so god damn amazing is soooo next level you hear a track fall in love with it and all of a sudden i wanna buy me a keyboard again cause thats on of the few things almost every single human shares - > the love for music.. I am a 68 year old Musician/Songwriter, and I gotta tell you, I LOVE YOUR REACTION TO THIS !!!!! Polyphia is such an AWESOME Band as well!! Polyphia are Wizards, when it comes to rhythm, and Counterpoint!!!!! They are the first Band to truly excite me since Tool, Nine Inch Nails, and System Of A Down! Oh yeah, I love Nightwish as well.......

Their sound is pretty hard, but they are so creative and technically incredible. (I've heard it called screaming hobo rap, but damn they kill it)

Their music is based on musicians Tim Henson’s writing ,composing and mixing all genres of music.
Creating all the bass parts,vocal structures,guitar harmony’s ,hip hop rap and R&B vocals ,then playing them all at once, together on just a guitar done by one person ,or in this case ,individually buy each of the two guitar players.
Polyphia simply mixes all genres of music ,their rock and rap harmonies and their vocal lyrics ,then all written,composed and played on a single guitar ,wether they’re live or in studio!
It’s one man doing what a 5 piece band can barely all do together and it’s Ultra impressive to say least.
Unequivocally this is next level complicated music with more emotion and structure than some give them credit for!
The bottom line is It’s not just music but artistic writing and musical brilliance at some of it’s absolute finest and most genius!
As a professional studio musician ,Drummer and lead guitarist I can say I both hear and feel the absolute magnificence of Polyphia!

Nightmare official music video is great by Polyphia. As well as The Worst and Icronic by Polyphia. Also the song called Liftoff by Skyhaven has the two guitarists from Polyphia in it and they have AMAZING solos. Especially Tim Heson's solo.

their lead guitarist, tim, built this whole song from a jaden smith sample. His entire approach to lead to guitar is to make it sound more like a rapper than a singer. Next Level.
