Laura’s expression when you said “pain is temporary” was pure quality 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha she has pure anger for me sometimes 😂
New channel name 🤔 Running with Andy and Laura 😀 Well done both on a great looking parkrun…..biscuits at the end, if only I’d known. The development of a pain cave sounds fun. I had a treadmill in my conservatory (twice) but in reality I hated it. I’ve no choice now other than to face the elements.
Sooooooo close to the golden 1k subs…any day now 🙂
Thanks Rach, yes Laura's featuring a lot on the videos (which I love) as if she's in them it means she's probably running 😊 I'm also well aware of cost of machines, treadmills/bikes etc aren't cheap and don't want them to collect dust. A lot to consider!
Well done Laura, I used to get stitches quite a lot when I started running and they can be quite frustrating, spoiling a good run. As I got fitter they happened less for me and hopefully they will for you. You get to know how hard you can exert yourself before you get a stitch and back off slightly before it happens.
Cheers Dave. I think getting rid of stitch does go hand in hand with getting fitter, however yesterday I had horrible stitch! You're right though it does ease up eventually, and also you learn to deal with it and manage it when it does.
What a great place 😁 I definitely need some parkrun tourism in my life. Done at the finish line though 😂
Yeah she showed me a clean pair of heels! It's an amazing place that's so far away from civilisation which is a yes from me!
Another great video Andy. Nice to see you both running together again.
That location looks stunning. I wish there were locations like that around here on the door step. I think your strength training goal is a no brainer, and I am pretty sure is what helped the PB for you last week. I fully intend to do more strength training myself as it is something I can easily miss as part of my running week.
Don't think I will be doing it anytime soon though as 4km into the long run this morning, I felt a strange popping feeling in the right calf. It felt like I had been stabbed in the leg. Looks like it is my first calf injury 😭. Not too sure how long these put you out for but I am struggling to walk on it at the moment. Positives was at least I got 4km in 😄
Ah dude that sounds like a bad strain hopefully not a tear. Give it a bit of the old RICE and it may help...
Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate ftw 💪🏻
The parkrun was amazing, and a 1 lap course which is my fave. What's the reservoir one like in brum? Is it at Bartley?
@@itsonandy Edgbaston reservoir, five mins away from Broad Street
It is a virtually flat 2 lap loop around the water
Not a huge amount of people either the few times I have been there.
Free parking on the road too and there is a cafe which is open just away from the course.
Leg is feeling much better than Sunday, keep ice every few hours
As long as I am good for the Olympic HM in London at the end of the month, that will do me
Lovely parkrun. We were there back in August.
Quiz question. Did you check out why the area is called Mallards Pike?
I just saw in a quick Google search and was disappointed to find it's not because the Mallards terrify and eat all the Pikes...
Amazing place isn't it!
@@itsonandy indeed it is. As a history buff I quite enjoyed the unexpected explanation.
Great goals and beautiful Parkrun x
Thanks Claire! It's a lovely part of the world and also looking forward to 2023 making a bit of progress 😊
And Whinlatter..I went around it on a Segway in the summer..very steep in places.. we want to do that Parkrun too and one of our aims for 2023 is the Woolacombe dunes Parkrun after I saw you do it ..looks fun ! x
Congratulations on 1K 🎉
Thanks mate, I think a RUclips channel is harder than a sub 20 5k 😂
That's a strong finish! You need to get your sprints ready for the final parts of the runs you are going to do if you want to get that 5th goal 😉
I know!!! She loves a sprint finish 💪🏻We watched your 1st parkrun video and we loved it btw, well done for completing the 1st one! 1st of many 👏🏻
Yes! First 1.000 are done! 💪🙌
Yeeesss!!!! Thank you for your comments and support!❤️
Weird question Andy, how much do you weigh? Did you drop weight from the time you began your running journey?
Not a weird question at all! I don't weigh myself anymore, mainly because I find it a bit addictive in a bad way. However my best guess is I'm down about 3 stone from where I was nearly 3 years ago. Most of tht weight I list in the first 9 months and I've maintained my size and shape since then. Hoping to put on a bit of weight soon with a bit more weight training and s&c.👍🏻
Forget the extra sugar dosing...get the veggies down you...any local carvery will give you a good dose of vitamins minerals carbs and protein...and get a few more carbs having a pint with it🤣...the parkrun looks very similar to Wyre Forest parkrun near Bewdley
I'm a big fan of a carvery - I always get my monies worth! Fun fact - I ran a 5k, 10k and a half marathon PB after a week on the Guinness in Ireland, that's proper performance enhancing stuff. Yeah WF is good, I did it a few months ago and struggled horribly! It ay easy is it!?
Ok so 😂
Honestly it's like vlogging tourettes...
