Excellent insight. You really, really know your stuff. Thanks for making the video and giving great analysis. As you know it seems to be quite a rarity for people of such an extreme height (being in the top 10 or 20 of the tallest people in the world) to walk normally, let alone run. The tallest guy in the world, 8'3" uses a brace, while another guy at 8'1" was in the para Olympic games as one leg is much shorter than the other. Yet another 8 footer in India has issues walking, while 7'7" Bobrockzyki has a tough time making it up and down the court. A previous world's tallest man at 7'9" from Mongolia walks with a crutch, while two young kids in the US who are 7'8" have a not so easy time walking. In fact, the two tallest people ever could not walk very well. From that, if one forgets about basketball, but takes a look at people beyond 7'6", it seems the odds are against them to be able to walk well, let alone run, and that is what we see with Adegoke at 7'9". I think what everybody should wish for is that this young man can stay healthy and perhaps have PT so he can walk and run, while basketball is secondary. Right now, as you pointed out, playing basketball, this guy has a serious risk of injury. Perhaps this is the reason that the two tallest NBA players were 7'7", as aside that there are very few who are that height or a bit taller (now perhaps 15)....well, how many are playing in the NBA? The answer is zero. Lets face it, if somebody is beyond 7'6", and if they had the coordination and stamina of a 50 year old marathon runner, or even a 60 year old runner (I ran a marathon two years ago when I was 60, and am training for another), they could run up and down the court all day long and would score and rebound huge every game. Maybe 7'8 3/4 inch Michael Ri of North Korea could have made it in the NBA years back if the US would have granted him immigration status. The problem is that for those of extreme height, the very tallest in the world, it is unusual to find somebody that would have the coordination and ability to walk and run anywhere close to that of a normal person. If they had that, one would think they would score 50 every game.
He seems like he would struggle making a decent high school varsity team at the moment. However if he gets proper strength training in, fixes his back, works on every aspect of his game and figures out a way to play faster without getting injured then he has a chance to MAYBE play in college.
Seems like he would struggle? 😂 The only reason any decent team would carry him is to give the other players a blow when they gas. You would think at that size he would be a rebounding and blocking machine, but that isn't the case at all. He doesn't even look like he wants to be out there in the first place.
Being too tall is a limitation too if you want to make it in NBA. Over 7’2” either you’re too slow or injury prone or bad shooter or all of them combined
This is a good video and very logical ...You are correct on every aspect and thts why I respected YAo mings game so much ,for such a big guy Yao didn’t cheat the game in terms of skill

@@legm7991 glad to know that we got someone who’s 7’9 and can speak against multiple studies that have been done on posture and tall people. Tall people often have worse power back pain because of the extra stress and weight that’s put on it, and this results in them hunching over often. Not only will be be severely painful to automatically change straight to excellent posture, just doing so, but the lower back pain will resurface and make him unable to ever play again due to the severity of the pain. Is posture something he needs to work on and fix? Of course. Is it as easy as just “fix your posture” no. Besides, you liked your own comment + you say I’m incorrect and provide no evidence whatsoever. Oh and, if anyone needs a reminder to go to school, it’s you.
@@Baller4Life1 yeah I understand fs, but I’m just saying hopefully some how his posture would get to his comfort.. I’m not saying he needs a straight back tho. And it would definitely be like a whole process
The only thing Hakeem can do for this kid is adopt him and leave a sizable inheritance. Basketball for the kid, like most of us, is a nice hobby but not a career.
Yeah I saw clips on IG and questioned what I saw there .. I'm like he seems extra slow footed and unathletic and your insight proved that and more... If he doesn't improve on that, he'll be back in Nigeria real soon .. there are already too many players that already have what he doesn't have
Rome was not built in a day. Hakeem Olajuwon and many other great basketball players started from somewhere and became great after several trainings and medical assistance. Adegoke can be great if those that matters really want to nurture him greatness.
Is this the dude who's 7ft 11 now? Saw a RUclips short didnt catch his name. Bro I'm 6ft6 and have knee and back issues its not easy being tall especially finding clothing. I feel bad for that man humans aren't supposed to be that size. Hopefully he'll find success in whatever he does I'm no nba/ basketball expert but I highly doubt he'll be in the nba immobile andcan barely run/walk. But best wishes to the dude.
This kid is only 14 and probably still growing. There will be a rules issue I think lol with his height if he is over 8 feet by the time he stops growing. He is a long shot anyways just by looking at his posture.
He will make it to the next level (college) just because of his size.. Now granted, probably not a top division 1 school, but some college will offer him a scholarship.. If he can work on his footwork, coordination, stamina, and overall basketball skill, he has a slight chance to make it professionally somewhere.. Probably won’t be the NBA though, and a professional career is a LONG way away.. He has a LOT of work to do.. It will come down to 2 things, does he have the drive and determination to put in the kind of work and hours it will take to get ready for that AND will his body hold up to it..
If he got the proper trainers and dieticians.. he could improve for sure. but he needs a lot of work.. sometimes it’s a curse being too tall for the NBA.. but in time we will see where he ends up..
Poor circulation it's hard for the heart to pump blood throughout the body. One dude died from an infection from something he stepped on but since he had poor circulation he never knew he got a cut or infection and died he wasnt an nba player but he was I think the tallest man to ever live. His name slips me at this time but he was alive a long long time ago.
Now disrespect to him, but this is an example of why people need to quit doubting guys that are under 6'0 feet. Just because you're tall, doesn't mean "guaranteed" in the NBA. his height comes with a whole lot of issues, joint problems, even heart problems (sometimes). Yea height can boost chances, but the chances aren't to much of a difference with someone that's below 6'0 feet. H**l you going to look higher athletically when you standing 6'3 and up. And honestly, a taller person that can jump high, doesn't look high when they're jumping. Due to how long their body is, because how tall they are. A shorter person is going to always look higher and more athletic than someone who is tall and athletic. Shorter athletes usually have more stamina and energy more than a taller athletic person. Shorter athletic players also look quicker and faster on the floor, than a taller athletic player. I just hate how the NBA is so bias and prejudice towards players that are below 6'0 feet, when they don't even take the time to check them out.
