Thank you for sharing your experience. I like very much your video.
Well done, professional, creative, informative with a ring I would be proud to wear...Thank you
Just placed my order Sunday. Can't wait to get started.
Tate Safford I know right 👍🏼
For Christmas my terrific wife gave me tools recommended by Jason to make seamless coin rings. Included was a recent upgrade not shown in this vid called the self centering punch. No spacers required. It’s fantastic. Today for my birthday she gave me a trip to Rio Grande in Albuquerque to attend Jason’s 3 day class this August (2018). There were only 5 openings left. If this video captures you, talk to your spouse and let her know what you’d really like for Christmas/birthday.
Yo Jason you inspired me. I will be buying the full kit.. thankz bro
Thank you Jason for the video, very clear instructions. maybe one day I will be able to afford your tools. Right now it's the least expensive way , everyone gives your tools great reviews. Keep up the great work and videos.
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account??

Jason, this is Josh,s mom I always new you had talent. I have bad news jason my husband and your dads friend died after a 22year battle with a brain tumour. I would love to hear from you
What is the tool you use to press it didn’t come with my kit, I’m also missing my rings like the big washers
trying to get in touch with Jason to see about getting a modified punch , per Robert Gibbs specs.
In your starter kit video What model is the Durston arbor press you are using ?
That tool your stretching it with is called what? And does the kit come with that machine you’re using to concave it?
Hello Rabecca! The tool used for the stretching and concaving is the Durston Ring Stretcher. It doesn't come with the Coin Ring Starter Kit, but you can purchase it here separately, ow.ly/hcXS50FFD2T. Let us know if you have any other questions!
You got me wanting to do this is
love your videos, thank you :) ............ what do you need beyond the starter kit? i looked at the starter kit and i thought you still needed a press (arbor?) and an (expensive) ring stretcher... strikes me there are 3 main stages to making the ring, - punch, press and then stretch/size?
Hi There, Thanks for watching! The ring stretcher and arbor press are both great tools to have for this process. We've created this page as a home base for all of the ring making tools, you can find more info on the stretcher and press under the "Accessories & Presses" category: ow.ly/ju0T30n2542 . If you have any questions about this, please don't hesitate to let us know!
Is the press that used in 8:43 is 1ton?
I am korean but I want to buy it so I want to ask you
Can you recommend a less expensive stretcher/ reducer,to start with?
So the kit does not include the ring stretcher, nor the ring reducing press, that are seen in this video, is that correct?
Hey salemdog100,
The ring stretcher is sold separately. You can find it here: www.riogrande.com/Product/Durston-Ring-Stretcher-and-Reducer/112066

I made a big mistake when I ordered the gold ring made from a gold Liberty coin from the "Mint" or "Change you can wear". The ring had no definition.
Will spacers work for Canadian canadian coins?.
nice kits. i just wish they were more affordable
Great video, great tools. Where did you get the tongs/pliers you use when annealing the coins?
Hi Jerry, The tool Jason uses here is called a Cross-Lock Tweezers. There are several available on Rio's website. You can see them all here: www.riogrande.com/search?q=cross-lock+tweezer&c=&t=1&pageSize=32 Hope this helps!
Is a doming block enoph to make a ring?
Does this method Mar the Reed side
Hi Mike - This does not mar the reed side. The tooling is pressed from the center hole to flare out the coin before using the ring stretcher to finish the ring. The tooling is never actually in contact with the reeds. If you have to do any adjustments that require pressing on the reed side, you can wrap the ring in Teflon tape to protect it. Hope this helps!
Any one know what kind of press he is using for the reducing process??
Hello! Thank you for the questions. The full product list is in the show notes.
@@RioGrande1944 thank you 👍
What is the tonage of the press
a plubmer teflon tape will do...seen it in other video here in YT

Are there any legal ramifications to defacing North American Money? For some reason I was led to believe there were some not so nice consequences. Like the idea, but need an answer here.
Its legal as long as you aren't modifying for the purposes of defrauding. In other words, if you made a nickle look like a quarter and passed it off as such. Think of all the penny flattening machines at theme parks, if it were illegal, Disneyland wouldn't have them.
Thanks for clarifying, much appreciated.
Hello Bert K-J,
Thank you for your input regarding our post regarding the creation of coin rings.
Article 18 of the United States Code, Section 331 (18 U.S.C. § 331) makes it a crime to fraudulently alter, deface, mutilate, impair, diminish, falsify, scale or lighten any of the coins coined at the mints of the United States, or any foreign coins which are by law made current or are in actual use or circulation as money within the United States; or to fraudulently possess, pass, utter, publish or sell (or an attempt to) or brings into the United States, any such coin, knowing the same to be altered, defaced mutilated, impaired, diminished, falsified, scaled, or lightened.
The key word in the statute is “fraudulently.” People have made jewelry from coins for quite some time and it is not an illegal activity as long as there is no illegal purpose. The United States Treasury has addressed this issue on its website. Please see the last question at www.treasury.gov/resource-center/faqs/Coins/Pages/edu_faq_coins_portraits.aspx
We hope this information helps you confidently create coin ring jewelry.
