Thank you Cliff. I have been teaching myself through trial and error for a year or so and this bit of video will save me dozens of coins and allow me to expand my skills into some nice fat tire experiences. Bob (in Texas!)
Enjoyed the video , appreciate the information and helping us gain knowledge, I'm almost 70 years old ( in a few months) just getting into coin ring making , starting tools - hammer, spoon, drill, drill bits, file , propane torch, sand paper and steel wool. Flintstones prehistoric style.lol. thanks for expanding my knowledge sir . 👍👍 From USA
Thank you brother! Been trying to get that fat tire look and your video gave me that extra bit of knowledge to make it happen. Thanks a million from Derby, Connecticut across the pond!
Thanks that’s the best that I’ve heard it explained. It all makes sense now why mine coin’s have came out the way they do. I have the dyes to give it the fat tire look but I need the dye to start my fold process.
Hello Cliff...im in the process of making my first coin ring punch! Very excited to see the finished product! Thanks again for all your helpful videos! Cheers!!
Great Video's Cliff, I'm just beginning to make rings and have damaged some coins and smeared off some details ... gonna get better at it thanks to your video's
Hi, this video was a pleasent surprise, I subscribed because I saw you making tools, for your tools without spending a lot of money ans that is my passion. Making tools to make jewelery scratches the same itch and I am gonna give it a try. I learn best from mistakes so please keep showing your mistakes! I learn from them. In my shop I make a lot of mistakes. But if I never made a mistake then I would have nothing new to learn! And where is the fun in that? Thanks for the video I enjoyed it.
I like to think I learn from my mistakes, but if that is true I should be a bloody Genius! :-), I think making your own tools is what a lot of it is about, in my early watch and clock repair days, we really had no choice, wages were small and tools were expensive! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, it encourages us all to keep at it, All the best, Cliff
i was wondering if the press built on the ring reducer/stretcher will punch the hole as well if i have a good self centering punch set? thank you for your knowledge.. ive bought everything except the big press.. hi from New Hampshire USA
Board rubber upside the head! Ouch, that brings back a few memories of one or two teachers of mine 😂. Hey cliff, how much would I be lookin at for one of your Swedish wrap sets mate?
This has been the best explanation of getting the fat tyre effect that I have seen. Thankyou sincerely for taking the time to show this . Cheers.
